Story
Meet OTIS! • Newfoundland/Pit mix • Male • 5 years • Weighs 110 pounds • Good with other dogs • Working on harness walking • Appears to be potty-trained • High energy This gentle, mellow mammoth is a pup looking for countryside adventures. With a broad head that seems designed for tender forehead kisses, Otis is just a sweet boy who might lean on you affectionately from time to time. This isn't a dog who needs fancy toys or endless treats; Otis is pretty low-maintenance. We can imagine Otis content in a favorite shady spot on the porch just to smell all the smells and watch the birds. But Otis also seems to like to wander around a bit too and would thrive best in a home that can provide the space for a nice walk. If you're looking for a laid-back buddy for your home and family, Otis might just be your perfect porch side pal. Otis is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Story
Meet Ladybug! She is part Great Pyr, part social butterfly, and possibly part seal based on her deep love of water. Ladybug is the kind of dog who believes every person she meets is her new best friend. She is over-the-top friendly, gregarious, and always excited to be included in whatever adventure is happening nearby. Whether she’s splashing in water, hanging out with dog friends, or soaking up attention from humans, Ladybug approaches life with pure joy. She is dog friendly, house trained, and currently learning leash manners. She’s eager to please and making great progress. Ladybug would thrive in a home with canine companions, but she would also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as your one and only. Because of her size, she would not be appropriate for home with young children. Mostly, Ladybug just wants a home of her own — somewhere she can finally settle in, be loved endlessly, and remind you daily that life is more fun when you greet it with enthusiasm. Stats- 6 months old housetrained crate trained up to date on vax fixed apply here to meet Ladybug. She is being fostered in the Washington State area. https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-foster

Story
At almost 1 year old, Fiona is a beautiful, goofy Great Pyrenees mix who’s happiest simply being near her people. She’s the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. She walks beautifully on leash and loves a leisurely neighborhood stroll. When she's not soaking up the sun, she enjoys chewing on a good bone, stealing your spot on the couch or curling up next to you for pets. Whatever you’re doing, Fiona is just happy to be included. She is so social that she will need a 6 foot or taller fence, she's an social escape artist. She loves people and has done well living with two cats, though she hasn’t quite realized they’re a fraction of her size. (Personal space is a work in progress ). Gets along well with other dogs and has been around children over 10 years old with no problems. If you’re looking for a loyal, fluffy companion who will bring a ton of love and a laughter to your home, Fiona is your girl. Ms. Fiona is being Fostered in the Austin, Texas area. Adoption fee is for local area. If transported, the fee will be $400 Apply for Fiona here https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-foster

Story
Marmalade aka Lady is a true lady. She was found as a stray South East of Austin. The finders looked and looked for her family but no one came forward. She was skinny and flea ridden but she stayed happy and unjudging. She had not been treated kindly by people but she still wanted to show people she was willing to give them her heart. After a few weeks of good food, baths and some brushing, this girl has started to shine. She loves to come up and give cuddles. She has the biggest smile, flashing her pearly whites. Lady would love to be welcomed into your home. She plays politely with doggie friends. She is house trained and crate trained. She is up to date on her vaccines and spayed. She is being fostered in a loving home in the Austin, TX area. If you would like to meet Lady please apply here https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-foster
