Calling all large dog people! This lovely doggo is looking for his place to call home! Found dumped on the side of the road with no microchip, he is now all vetted and looking for a new place to call home. Meet Milo! He is a young lad at the ripe age of ~1yr old. He is thought to be a lab/ pyrenees/shepherd mix. This sweet boy is potty trained, walks well on leash, and loves other dogs. He has done well with both large and small dogs. He is a laidback, medium energy guy who loves his belly rubs but still has his puppy energy with spirts of zoomies outside. Milo has shown to be a goofy dude that can always make you laugh. He would love to be your shadow and observe everything you do. He settles well in his crate or if confined to a room. He still needs some help with his basic training but that should be a breeze! Milo is estimated to be about 1 year old and 100 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $250. Story
Say hello to Dewbert — or Dooby, as his foster family lovingly calls him! This big, happy Great Pyrenees is equal parts gentle giant and goofy sidekick. With his soulful eyes, calm presence, and joyful personality, Dooby brings a little sunshine wherever he goes. Since joining his foster family, Dooby’s transformation has been incredible. His coat has healed beautifully, his confidence has blossomed, and he has truly settled into home life. He loves being near his people and has recently shown just how devoted he is by becoming especially protective and nurturing toward the family’s newborn. That loyal streak is one of his sweetest qualities. Because of this strong protective instinct, Dooby would thrive as an only dog in a loving home where he can bond closely with his people. While he has previously enjoyed playing with the family’s resident dog, he recently showed that he prefers not to share his space or his humans with other pets. However, he is a dream when meeting dogs on walks, puppy playtimes, or when going to a fun happy hour with other furry friends. Dooby is also a classic Great Pyrenees through and through, which means a fenced yard is a must. It’s his happy place to explore, sunbathe, and do his signature “patrols.” One of his funniest quirks is his nightly security rounds. He quietly pads through the house 2–3 times a night just to make sure everyone is tucked in safely. It’s impossible not to smile when you catch him taking his job so seriously. He continues to do well with humans of all ages and is wonderfully gentle, affectionate, and steady. His resource guarding is only directed toward other animals, not people, and with a pet-free home, this won’t be a concern day-to-day. With his humans, he is nothing but a big, loving teddy bear who wants to be close and be part of the family. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you, make you laugh, and fill your home with warmth and devotion, Dewbert is your guy. He’s ready to be someone’s one-and-only, and he will absolutely shine in that role.

Story
Soft Steps, Happy Heart Libby is a white, Great Pyrenees–looking puppy who is new to us. She has all the classic puppy qualities—curious, playful, and full of potential—and is just beginning to show her personality as she settles in. The prior shelter shared that Libby can be a little shy at first, especially during greetings, but she warms up quickly. Once she feels comfortable, her happy, friendly nature shines through and she’s ready to engage and play. Libby is a sweet, happy pup who is still learning about the world. With a little patience and encouragement, she’s ready to grow into a loving companion and share all the joyful moments that come with puppyhood.

Story
Chancla is a calm, gentle boy who looks like a Pyrenees, Great Shepherd, and Anatolian mix. With his white coat and badger markings, he has a classic, striking look to match his easygoing nature. A recent foster sleepover showed that Chancla settles well into a home. The foster shared that he appeared crate trained and potty trained, did great when left alone, and rode well in the car after a brief adjustment. He was gentle and curious with new people, including kids, and took everything in with a relaxed, thoughtful approach. Chancla walks nicely on leash, enjoys affection, and loves being close to his people. He’s food motivated, enjoys chew toys, and has a soft side that makes him a wonderful cuddle companion. Based on foster observations, he would do best in a first-floor living situation. Right now, the shelter environment is overwhelming for Chancla, and he can be fearful and cautious there. A foster or adoptive home would give him the calmer, more comfortable space he needs to truly relax and show his best self.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bolt is waiting patiently for his forever home! Bolt is a 5 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees-Catahoula leopard dog mix. Bolt is a sweet and loyal companion, enjoys being in the yard when his foster mom gardens, and loves pets and attention. Bolt has a serious side, he barks when he perceives a threat (the UPS truck, mailman, etc) and a silly side, finding all sorts of random things to play with-he’d rather forage something around the house and cares less about dog toys. Bolt is super helpful around the house, he loves to help load the dishwasher, clean off the counters, and helps with the laundry by dragging clothes and towels from the laundry room outside in the rain, lol, he’s all about conservation! His new family should be sturdy as he can get spunky and want to play while doing zoomies around his people. He would love his own person/people to reciprocate his loyalty, someone who likes to relax and also find adventure. If you are looking for your “ride or die” dog, that’s Bolt, he is smart and eager to please. Bolt could get along with a female dog but would prefer to eat alone. Bolt is being fostered in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within WA and OR . All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Dixie is a clever girl waiting for her forever family! This smart 8-month-old, 80 lb sweetheart is incredibly attuned to her people and will follow you from room to room—she never wants to miss a moment with you. Dixie is fully potty trained and recently discovered the joys of couch life, making her an excellent Netflix companion (good luck getting her to move once she's settled in). She loves occupying herself with a good chew toy or bone, and she's hilariously enthusiastic about chasing balls, though she hasn't quite mastered the "bringing it back" part of fetch yet. Dixie is wonderful with dogs of all sizes and is currently learning how to play gently with her 12 lb Chihuahua foster sister. She's curious about cats but respects their boundaries. Her new family should be ready to continue her leash training and work on basic commands. If you want a smart, affectionate companion who will be your constant sidekick, Dixie is waiting for you! Dixie's spay is scheduled for Feb 17 and she can go home after that!  Dixie is being fostered in Portland, OR and can be adopted within OR and WA. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES THAT HAVE AT LEAST ONE MEDIUM TO LARGE YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG that is age 1 or older. They also must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. 3) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone must also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8+ hours a day. 4) We give preference to applicants with prior Great Pyrenees knowledge/experience. 5) Secure and visible fencing required. 6) You must have a plan in place to socialize your puppy properly. Adoption Fee: $375 All of our puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Here's Texana!  Texana is a beautiful, sweet and spunky  1 1/2 yr old girl, looking for a new place to crash.  She's come a long way in her current home, she would just prefer to be the only queen of the castle.  What we know of Texana, she was brought up to the PNW from Texas when she was about 3 months old and unfortunately, did not have a lot of socialization in her younger years.  Regardless, she knows some commands and wants to please her people.  Common of Pyrs she likes to patrol the property, bark at any potential threats, and can be a little stubborn, which is one of the reasons we love our Pyrs!  She's not a fan of cats and has not been exposed to livestock.  She would like do okay with a mellow male dog, meet and greets prior to adoption would be helpful.  Texana is being fostered by her current family in Olympia, WA and can be adopted within WA-OR.  All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Tater Tot (or Tot Tot) is a sweet, one year old Pyr-mix who had a rough start. He was part of the group taken in by the Oregon Humane Society earlier this year, so he had a lot of fear when he first went into his foster home. Since he never got to do normal dog things, he still has some puppy curiosity and things to learn. He's working on things like leash-walking, and taking car rides. His foster parents have to remind him that he's safe even out in the big world. His forever home will have to continue to have patience with him. Once he's comfortable, he's a big cuddle bug. Tater loves belly rubs and is even starting to enjoy playing with toys, getting brushed, and taking treats. He is house trained, knows "sit", and sleeps in his crate at night. Tater loves to be with his people most of the time and is also good with kids. He likes the resident dog, and also those he meets on walks. Tater would also do fine as an only dog, especially as a sidekick to someone who's working from home. Tater Tot is currently being fostered in Bend, Oregon and can be adopted within Oregon/Washington. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Story
|Santiago is a striking dog with a mostly white coat and a unique mix of white, tan, and grey on his face. He looks like a blend of Shepherd, Anatolian or Pyrenees, and Great Pyrenees, and carries himself with a gentle, thoughtful presence. At around 50 pounds, he’s a medium-large dog with a calm energy that makes him a steady companion. In the care of a foster home, Santiago has shown that he can settle when given space, patience, and quiet encouragement. He is comfortable in a household with other dogs and doesn’t react to normal activity or people moving around, showing that he can learn to feel safe in a calm, structured environment. Car rides are still a bit overwhelming, and new experiences can be intimidating for him, but with a gentle guide, Santiago is beginning to show curiosity and trust. He is not destructive and adjusts well when left alone in a secure, quiet space. Santiago is looking for a patient home that can continue to help him gain confidence, offering calm reassurance and gentle guidance. With the right family, he has the potential to blossom into a loving, loyal companion.

Story
Top Hat has a heart as big as his paws and a spirit that refuses to quit. After a rough start, he’s shown just how resilient, sweet, and eager for connection he truly is. He’s bright, alert, and genuinely excited about life (especially when it involves people!) In the home, Top Hat is affectionate, playful, and loves being close to his humans. He greets new people with enthusiasm and thrives on companionship. He is crate trained, and does well when left alone (even free-roaming for a few hours). Top Hat enjoys walks and is working on his leash skills, but his love for being out and about already shines through. He’s playful without being destructive and enjoys a wide variety of toys. He’s recently learned how to play fetch with a rope and is just starting to enjoy tug-of-war. This sweet, resilient boy would do best in an adoptive home that can offer a little extra patience and structure as he continues building confidence. In return, you’ll be rewarded with a loyal, affectionate companion who’s ready to leave his rough start behind and begin his next chapter surrounded by love.

KJ is well socialized, gentle and a joy to be with. He is housebroken and will sit on request. This includes waiting for his supper. His favorite toy is a large knotted rope. He loves to play fetch. He will also be happy to sit in a corner and chew on his toy until he falls asleep. He often takes naps with his paw on his toy; it’s adorable! On walks, he is very polite and has good leash-manners. But he also still has a lot of puppy playfulness in him. He will do that puppy bow and invite you to chase him or play with him. He will be a great companion for a person or family looking for a playful dog wanting to go on adventures or keep up with an active household. Meet this perfect boy while you still have the chance before he gets adopted!
