Story
Meet Zig Zag Ziggy (Sammy) located in our DFW area! This bigger-than-life pup is rocking his way through the DFW area, and we believe a handsome Newfie from a neighboring property may be his dad! Originally adopted into a loving multi-dog home, Ziggy found himself a bit overwhelmed and unsure of his place. Now, he’s ready to take center stage in a home that can give him the structure and clarity he needs to shine truly. This young, playful guy is equal parts fun and focus. Ziggy lives for a good game, but what really makes him special is his love for having a job—he thrives on training, boundaries, and clear expectations. Guide him, and he’ll give you his whole heart (plus a happy dance and tail wag). He’s always up for playtime in the yard with his favorite toys, but he’s just as happy snuggling up on the sofa after a job well done. Smart, eager, and full of personality, Ziggy is already proving he’s a star both on and off the stage. Zig Zag Ziggy would do best in a home that understands large, young dogs and is committed to helping him build confidence through consistent training and structure. Apply today at TGPR.org to learn more about Zig Zag!

Story
This is Jovi, named after the famous Bon Jovi. We got Jovi from a friend whose Great Pyrenees had an accidental litter. We have puppy/parent pictures. Jovi is 4 years old with a birth date of December 19, 2021.Jovi is such a loyal companion and loves to make you happy. He attended a board & train when he was 2 where he learned how to better control his urges to be too wild. He can get excited, but knowing his place command has done wonders for him. He is not perfect on a leash, but he really does try and he does know his heel command. Jovi can be a bit reactive when seeing other animals, esp dogs, or if he is spooked. He is trained on an e-collar, which came from the trainer, because of his reactions and me weighing less than he does. He knows place, sit, down, come, and wait. We are looking for someone who can give Jovi an open yard and quality time to spend with him. He is the biggest sweetheart you could ask for. A big baby if you will. He deserves the best life.

Story
I originally took Essie in to foster her for a friend after she had been abandoned, and she has been with us ever since 2022. She was born on December 30, 2020, and is now 5 years old. Essie has a very calm and gentle personality. She enjoys relaxing, being around her people, and spending time outdoors. She really loves having space, so a home with a large yard or room to roam would be ideal for her. Being outside is one of her favorite things. She is very sweet and affectionate and does well with older children and babies. However, she can experience a little anxiety in loud or chaotic environments, and toddlers can sometimes make her a bit nervous because of their unpredictable movements. Because of this, she would do best in a home with older kids or a calmer household. Essie is a loyal, loving dog who deserves a family that will give her patience, stability, and space she enjoys. She will make a great companion for someone looking for a gentle, calm, and devoted dog.
