Story
Spike is in search for his forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS ABOUT ME: Spike, AKA His Royal Spiciness, is our special little man! He's got pzazz and spunk even though he's a senior boy. He desperately wants your affection but will sometimes reward that affection with a nip on the hand because he's decided, in his Chihuahua energy, that he doesn't want to be touched anymore. Don't worry though - he has 3.5 teeth so you don't really feel it. He loves to cuddle, but again - don't let him sleep next to you because if you DARE to MOVE he will be shooketh at the thought that a human would even think to disturb him and will snap. How else will he earn his title of 'His Royal Spiciness'? All this to say... he has a loyal fanbase of fosters who love his personality and ease of leaving him alone so the spiciness grows on you. If you're looking for a dog that will add spice to your life, Spike is your man. Spike recently underwent surgery to remove a mass on his head, and while it was entirely removed with narrow margins, it is possible due to the nature of the tumor it may have spread elsewhere in his body. However clinically, Spike is thriving. He is energetic and spry, eats well, and still very much enjoys his life. ATTRIBUTES: Spike does well in foster with other dogs that respect his personal boundaries and gives him space. Spike should not go to a home with cats or kids. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/12742Hi, my name is Ben and I just arrived to rescue with OPH! Read on to learn more about me:- I am guessed to be a 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier/Feist mix and I'm petite at only 27 lbs- I love to run! My foster mom tries to sprint with me sometimes, but she's not that fast. I'd love to have a yard where I can run around- I LOVE getting my head and belly scratched, and snuggling with my humans. To see me feeling some head-scratch bliss, click here!- I am GREAT at sitting and working to perfect "down"- I’m happy to sleep in my crate at night and when my family is at work, but I prefer to hang out with the people when they are home - I am potty trained but sometimes get so excited that I accidentally tinkle- I love bringing my toys into my crate to play. Watch me here!- I LOVE toys and FOOD! I'm food motivated so you can use food to teach me new tricks :)- Sometimes I like to chase my tail and my foster mom says it is really funny. See me being silly here!- I would do best in a home with no small children since I am still working on understanding personal space. In my foster home I like the kids 6 and over. Those little barely walking kids scare me.- Overall? I'm a very good and lovable boyFrom Ben's foster: Ben is a sweet boy with so much love to give, and it is clear that he just wants to be loved back. He has made so much progress in our time together. He will need an adopter who is patient and understands that it will take him some time to get settled in a new environment, but he promises to repay you with tons of kisses and snuggles. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable.
