Story
Jayden is a really sweet and super energetic ~2yo pup with tons of personality. She loves playing fetch, tug, and chase and will do almost anything for treats/food. She is house trained, crate trained, loosely obedience training, and we are currently working on muzzle training. She is a great companion and would do well in an experienced single person household or a multi-adult household where everyone is FULLY committed to training and management. We adopted her 18mo ago and are re-homing her due to her anxiety and reactivity which occasionally result in aggression towards members of our household. She is currently taking prescription anxiety medication and probiotics which are helping a little, however we have decided that we do not have the experience or environment that she needs to succeed and be comfortable/happy long term. We are more than happy to provide further information including her vet records and vet behaviorist report to prospective adopters.

Story
There's just something special about dogs named Ziggy! Is it their courage? Resilience? Our handsome Ziggy, a rattie mix with possibly fox terrier ancestry, has plenty of both. After being struck by a car and spending a month in a North Carolina shelter with a broken hip, Ziggy was rescued by New Rattitude and given the surgery needed to repair the hip. After brief recovery time, he boarded a plane to fly to Maryland, where his foster home is located and where he courageously faced what he hopes is his last time under the knife--his neutering.   Estimated at 1-2 years old, the resilient fellow has gained some much-needed weight (he's now 12 lbs.) and is making up for lost time with a newfound zest for living. He LOVES playing with toys--LOTS of toys! He gets along with his two canine foster siblings, but his two best friends are dogs weighing over 50 lbs. each. He hopes you'll have a young canine companion for him too. Ziggy is completely house-trained and good walking with harness and leash although he'll bark at strangers, wagging his tail nevertheless.   X-rays show that Ziggy's hip is healing, but some nerve damage remains, causing knuckling of that rear paw. A consulting neurologist states that further healing of the nerve may occur slowly. Unrelated to the nerve, Ziggy may sometimes run on three legs, but he tends to use all four on soft surfaces like carpet or grass. The best part is, Ziggy sees no problem. He does zoomies and stairs, with energy left to play with the big dogs! Nothing seems to stop this resilient little boy, who is so ready for his forever home. And be honest, you KNOW you've always wanted a Ziggy! See more photos in his online album at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/ziggy .   Applicants considering Ziggy should plan to meet him in his foster home prior to adoption to observe his gait and movement patterns in his normal environment. Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. May 7, 2024, 11:46 am

Story
Macy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Macy looks like a rat terrier. We are guessing she is around 3 years of age and she weighs 15 pounds. As expected, she was a bit leery of the other dogs at first but now she is just as happy and playful as she can be. Macy is very affectionate and loves attention and pets. She likes to sit next to you on the couch and grumbles at the other dogs to keep them away so she can have all the attention. This is a bad habit and should not be encouraged. Macy is crate-trained and well-behaved in the house. She likes to roll herself up in a blanket when sleeping. Macy is getting chubby after her spay and her new family needs to take her on walks to lose weight. Macy is doing well with housetraining but may need more work. Because Macy is small, she must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that could hurt her. She must also be protected from raptors and other outdoor predators. Macy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. To avoid injury, she will need steps to get on and off the couch and other furniture. Macy must be walked on a leash and would like a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Macy is healthy. She is spayed and tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. ALL transport costs are included in the adoption fee with delivery to Hagerstown MD, Linthicum Heights MD, or Quicksburg VA. Macy is currently located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this little sweet girl. Story
Harry and Eleanor?? Such SERIOUS names for a couple of goofy pups! We came from a somewhat sad and seriously MESSED up place but now we may be a little shy but we are definitely NOT SERIOUS :) We are JRT/Rat Terrier mixed siblings, each of us is cute and loving in our own right. Under 15# of absolute adorableness is who we are. We are both still a little nervous, I mean we came from a pretty horrific situation so know that we were not handled and loved on until the last month or so in our foster home... but we are learning so much and having a blast! We are great together but do not have to be adopted together. We will need at least another dog with us to show us the ropes and keep us company in our new family. We are good with everyone so that will be pretty easy :) Look one of us up and ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!!! SO MANY LIVES' DEPEND ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Petey... He is one soulful dude. He loves everyone unconditionally. Wants to be with you every minute. When you don't pay attention to him, he will stare at you with his soulful eyes. He loves to sleep on you or near you. And who can blame him?? Left behind by his "owners" with the cats, for WEEKS in the abandoned house. THEN some brainiac put him attached to a box and said both were free for anyone who wanted him...... Who does this????? Petey is such a wonderful boy, he DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER!! Potty trained, everyone friendly even cats. Very happy boy! We will be very careful about who adopts him, never will he be left like trash. He was in the Fiesta parade with the rescue this weekend and was so happy to be out having fun with his friends and making new friends!!! He is just the right social butterfly for an active and happy home!! This boy is so great and will make someone a wonderful and social companion!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/12742Hi, my name is Ben and I just arrived to rescue with OPH! Read on to learn more about me:- I am guessed to be a 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier/Feist mix and I'm petite at only 27 lbs- I love to run! My foster mom tries to sprint with me sometimes, but she's not that fast. I'd love to have a yard where I can run around- I LOVE getting my head and belly scratched, and snuggling with my humans. To see me feeling some head-scratch bliss, click here!- I am GREAT at sitting and working to perfect "down"- I’m happy to sleep in my crate at night and when my family is at work, but I prefer to hang out with the people when they are home - I am potty trained but sometimes get so excited that I accidentally tinkle- I love bringing my toys into my crate to play. Watch me here!- I LOVE toys and FOOD! I'm food motivated so you can use food to teach me new tricks :)- Sometimes I like to chase my tail and my foster mom says it is really funny. See me being silly here!- I would do best in a home with no small children since I am still working on understanding personal space. In my foster home I like the kids 6 and over. Those little barely walking kids scare me.- Overall? I'm a very good and lovable boyFrom Ben's foster: Ben is a sweet boy with so much love to give, and it is clear that he just wants to be loved back. He has made so much progress in our time together. He will need an adopter who is patient and understands that it will take him some time to get settled in a new environment, but he promises to repay you with tons of kisses and snuggles. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease here here
