Persian kittens & cats in Edgewater, Colorado

My name is CHANEL. I am a 4 year old mixed Persian Long hair Cat. I am spayed and I think my shots are up to date. I am INDOOR cat only. I have a cat sister and dog brother and I think I may be happier in a house with no other pets or maybe pets that are older. I am super mature and don’t really like to be around small children as they frighten me. Wherever I may go I will probably need to remain long haired because grooming scares me a lot. I am super loving and love attention but only when I say so. Looking for a stress free home 🏠

Yo-Yo Sam, named after the notorious Yosemite Sam for his long and glorious mustache is looking for his forever home. He's the softest, purri-est, rip-roaring gato that has ever roamed the West. And despite being a Persian, he definitely roamed the West being found abandoned outside in Texas in a condition we like to kindly refer to as "a hot mess." He had fleas, ringworm, a yeast infection in his ears, a cut arm that required stiches, and knots galore. He came to Mother Gaia where we got him all cleaned up and back to his normal Persian behavior of looking beautiful and accepting admiration.  The only trick is that Yo-Yo Sam is not quite the usual Persian. The usual Persian loves to lounge, be admired, occassionally talk, and is friendly to everyone. Well, Yo-Yo Sam does all those things but he also does some "real cat" things too like jumping to high locations and stealing food. Particularly bread. He will rip a slice of bread right out of your hands when you least expected a tiny furry creature with a ridiculous white mustache to do anything athletic or naughty at all.  Sam loves everyone and everything. He cannot get enough human attention. He loves other cats. And oddly enough, he really, really, really loves dogs. He runs up to greet dogs, flings his tiny body against them for head butts and affectionate greetings and then continues on his way leaving the canine species entirely confused about what this weirdo cat just did.  Sam would like us to note that in addition to his favorite food being bread, he also really enjoys fish flavored wet food and anything labeled "salmon", "shrimp" or "crab." Its not his fault he has sophisticated taste - its in his genes. He does have a bit of a sensitive stomach but as long as he is maintained on his current wet food, he does just fine.  Sam is up to date on vaccines, flea-free, ringworm-free, yeast-free, and putting on weight. He is microchipped to prevent another adventure in the great wild outdoors. And he is ready to come home and be an integral part of your family: greeting everyone, having friendly (or sometimes demanding) conversation, finishing up any spare bread sitting around, and being one of the most spectacular mustaches Persians that ever lived.  ##2868181##

Olive is a sweet, spunky 8-year-old with soft, fluffy black fur and stunning green eyes. As staff favorite, she’s playful, energetic, and just a little mischievous (Okay maybe she's a bit more than a little bit... But who doesn't love mischief?)! Though she had a rough start in life, she’s now full of personality and ready for a home of her own. She likes cat nip and while she's not super playful, she will often take a nice walk on her cat wheel from time to time. Olive's ideal home will be one with no other pets and children only 16 years and up. She is a diabetic kitty and will require her adopter to be able to give her insulin twice a day, special prescription food, and regular glucose monitoring. CCS staff makes things easy for potential adopters by giving an in depth lesson on how to treat diabetes in cats and will be happy to show a new adopter the ropes! Meet a Lonely Hearts Club Member! Come meet Lilly! This 12-year-old girl needs a patient person who knows how to respect her boundaries but she is the sweetest and most playful senior kitty you'll meet! Lilly blossomed while in foster but isn't a fan of the shelter and will thrive in a home environment where she can truly be herself. She loves to hang on the catio when it's nice out, playing with wand toys, and appreciates chin scratches when they are on her terms! Lilly's ideal home would be one where she can be the only pet in the home and with a good adopter who can accommodate all of her medical needs which CCS staff will be more than willing to go over with any potential adopters to ensure all parties are set up for success! Meet Charlie, a 9-year-old black long hair with a heart full of love to give. He is affectionate and cuddly, and absolutely loves chatting with his favorite humans. He is a gentle, friendly companion who's ready to snuggle up with you and give you all the purrs in the world. Charlie has some special health needs: he is managing diabetes with insulin and has kidney disease as well. Charlie is very patient with having his glucose tests performed, probably because he knows that food comes right after! He needs to stay on a special diet, but with the right care and a consultation from our veterinarian, he can live a wonderful life by your side!
