Story
Are you looking for a best friend for your kitty? A stunning cat who is mostly just for looks and not touch? Then this silly girl would be a perfect fit for you, since she prefers the company of kitties to humans and only allows touch if the vibes are right. Miss Briar Rose has been slow to trust people and much slower to trust human touch. When she is in one of her safe spots, her trusted humans are allowed to pet her and she does very much enjoy it. She will purr so loudly and sometimes even roll onto her side happily. She loves a good chin scritch and behind the ear pets so deeply. When she's not in a safe spot and the vibes aren't right, she doesn't allow people to approach. What Briar loves most and where she really comes alive is with other cats. Bri Bri has never met a cat she doesn't like instantly, even the ones who hiss and growl at her. Briar is a very easy going companion for any cat that she's met. This sweet girl needs at least one confident kitty companion in her home who will love her and be her best friend, but if it were up to her she'd have a million kitty friends in her forever home. Briar is easily startled and will need a slow introduction into her new home, with experienced cat owners. Although Briar is still very shy and spooky, she continues to make progress with her fosters. Miss Girl is ready for her next step with someone who has time on their hands for a sassy, spooky kitty! To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under) $125 for cats (older than 6 months) $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! November 18, 2025, 1:59 pm
