Story
Stanley is a stunning 4 year old Persian with a gorgeous black smoke coat and a gentle, sensitive personality. He’s a shy boy who takes a little time to warm up, but once he feels safe he loves being near his people and will even lead you back to his favorite cozy spot so you can spend time with him.Stanley would do best in a calm, peaceful home with a consistent routine. Because he’s a bit timid, he’s looking for a home without young kids or rambunctious dogs. A quiet household where someone is around often like someone who works from home would be wonderful for him, though it’s not required. He just really enjoys having a human nearby. He is currently being slowly introduced to other cats, so his compatibility is still unknown. He has shown curiosity and playfulness under the door without hissing or growling, which is a promising sign, but proper slow introductions will be needed. With patience, love, and a quiet environment, Stanley has so much potential to blossom into a devoted companion. He is fully vetted and ready to be someone’s baby! He also has excellent litter manners. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. Fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/cat-adoption-application It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Meet Maddy! Maddy is a gorgeous Persian born in February 2022.Maddy is a beautiful Persian with a big heart and a wonderfully opinionated personality. This sweet girl is very loving and affectionate on her own terms and will happily reward you with snuggles, soft purrs, and cozy time in her favorite bed with blankets and a heating pad. She’s a little purr machine who truly enjoys quiet, relaxed companionship.Because Maddy can become overstimulated, she does best in a calm home without young children. She’s great at communicating her boundaries and thrives with someone who will respect her need for occasional alone time. While she tolerates brushing and nail trims, she needs a patient, gentle adopter who is committed to daily brushing or regular professional grooming to keep her gorgeous coat healthy and mat-free. Maddy is vetted and has excellent litter box manners.Maddy is an intelligent, opinionated lady who knows what she likes! With the right care and savvy person, she will be a loyal, affectionate companion who brings warmth and love to every day.You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. Story
Stumpy had a rough start in life and is now looking for a home. She was found outside at approximately 4-5 months old with half a tail. We assume it was an injury. She doesn’t let the half tail slow her down. She had surgery on the tail in Feb and it’s now healed, just waiting for her fur to grow back. It’s quite cute when she wags her new little tail.  Little Stumpy is also FIV+. Other than those two things, she is a happy healthy young girl. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.   Likes: Toys - She LOVES toys. She loves throwing cat toys in the air and chasing them around the room. She enjoys stuffed toys as well as the plastic balls that skitter around. She has been know to tear into the toys and has gotten the stuffing out. Stumpy does like to chew on cords and occasionally uses non toys (laptop) as a toy.  Watching nature TV - Stumpy enjoys looking out the window and watching birds and squirrels. She started chirping at them and I am sure she would love to try to catch one.  Food - She eats kibble like a champ, but does like to take the food out of the dish and sometimes play with it. Not the cleanest eater. She is also a fan of the water dish. Not just for drinking but putting her toys in it. I recommend a heavy dish that she can’t bat around.  Laps - Once she is comfortable, she loves to sit on laps and purr. She does uppies where she reaches her paws up towards your face to hug you and ask to be picked up.  Brushing - Her fur is semi long and she seems to enjoy being brushed.  Chatty - Stumpy has a baby meow but loves to chat. She gets very excited and runs over to my husband meowing and rolling around in happiness. When happy, she is a purr monster, with some happy drool at times.  Stumpy seems very interested in other cats but needs to learn manners and how to behave around them. She’s overly excited and maybe thinks they are a toy (even cats bigger than her). She also likes to nibble on feet (human). She will stop when you tell her no, but she is a bit mouthy.  She has been to the vet multiple times and has been well behaved there. I can’t say she enjoys the carrier but will let me put her in it and is quiet in the car. Stumpy lets me clip her claws, usually a paw at a time. Little Stumpy is looking for a lap to curl up in and a home to run around in.  If you would like to meet her, please submit an adoption application through our website: www.feralfriends.org

Story
We took Sophie in as a favor to a friend of a friend for what we thought was a temporary basis as she was going through a divorce. All was well for several years and then she began fighting violently with our other two cats. We’ve tried everything and have resorted to physical separation at this point and it’s really not fair for her nor our other cats. She doesn’t seem to mind dogs but cannot stand to be around other cats! She is completely an inside cat. She needs daily brushing for her long hair, but does not like it at all. She has a few quirks. The oddest one is that she only drinks water by dipping her paw in the water bowl and licking it off her paws. This can get messy if the water bowl is not kept on a mat or towel! We were told she was born in September 2015. She was spayed and given shots when we got her in 2021. She is on Vectra for flea control. Fleas haven’t been much of a problem however since our dog passed away.
