Story
Meet Horus – A Gentle Soul with a Heart Ready to Bloom Horus is a stunning golden boy with a story as unique as his charm. Rescued from a heartbreaking situation in Egypt, this petite (just 6 lbs) boy who is estimated to be 1 year old is sure to transform into a fluffy bundle of love with a glimmer of Persian elegance in his features. Initially cautious, Horus is still settling and acclimating in foster care. Once he feels safe, he adores gentle chin scratches, pets, and being close to his favorite humans. He’s still learning that the world is a kind place, so he’ll need a patient adopter who understands the power of trust and time. Playful and kitten-sized, Horus delights in batting around toys and chasing interactive games. He also enjoys quiet moments — bird-watching by the window, curling up beside your laptop, or joining you for a cozy movie night. Treats help him bond to new people, and he’s a pro at using his litterbox. Horus would thrive in a calm home or and one where he’s is allowed a gradual acclimation time to feel safe. He’s only been in his foster home a short time and is already blossoming. In return, he’ll reward you with a loyal, loving presence and the joy of seeing him discover happiness and trust. Healthy, vaccinated, neutered, combo tested, microchipped, and currently being fostered in Burke, VA — Horus is ready to meet his forever family. Could you be the one to show this brave little traveler what home truly means?

Story
Adam and Julia are two gorgeous Persians. Julia is the momma to Adam. This mother/son duo came from the streets. The worse part of this is they are blind through no fault of their own. Their kitty ophthalmologist examined them and said it was a genetic condition. Julia is a very sweet 3 to 4 year old buff colored girl. She is more on the petite side. Loves attention and to be petted and brushed. Adam, her son, is larger in size than his momma. He is buff and white. Adam is shy. He loves to be petted and kissed on his head but will need time to adjust which is natural considering his handicap. We would love to adopt them out together. Home should be quiet and not too many steps. Please open your heart to this lovely pair of Persians. Who rescued who… ** We would love a foster home for them to allow them to stretch their legs. ** Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Trafil is a handsome young male kitty found roaming the busy streets. A lady out shopping took him home until a rescue could be found. He has that gorgeous charcoal grey coat that is unusual. Trafil is a lovely sweet friendly cat. He was obviously owned at one time. He likes to be petted and brushed. He gets along well with other cats. We would like to see him adopted into a home with another pet so he can play and interact and have fun. He has not been tested on dogs or kids but should be fine. Fostered in Fairfax, VA.

Story
Oscar is a gorgeous male flat faced Persian. He has that adorable tiny nose and big round eyes. He was badly treated by a mentally ill person. Thank God a rescuer removed Oscar from that home. He is very very sweet. He loves human attention and gets along fine with other cats. Oscar is calm like most Persians. We want Oscar to be adopted into a home experienced with Persian cats due to the care and maintenance this breed requires. Fostered in Fairfax, VA.

Story
Shakira is a stunning long haired, brown tabby, young lady we are thrilled to have with us. She was rescued from the mean streets as a stray. We think she is about 2 to 3 years old. Shakira is adapting to her foster home so her true colors have yet come out but she is as sweet as pie. Loves to be petted and doted on. She is getting along well with her new foster feline friends. We would like to see Shakira in a home that is experienced with long haired cats. Grooming is necessary for cats like Shakira. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Meet Agate! (Pronounced ah-gah-tay.) Agate is  handsome, long-haired tabby. Agate came to us 2 years ago after he and his brother were found in a Culpeper backyard at just 4 months old. They were very close but sadly, his brother passed away and Agate really struggled for a while without him.Agate is. VERY  friendly and charming. He is that socially awkward shy and handsome guy that doesn’t know how handsome he is. At dinner time, he head butts and rubs up against his foster mom in an effort to get as much wet food as he can. During the rest of the day, Agate tends to be more skittish and may startle if approached too quickly. It's hard to say what happened to this poor baby in his past to make him so shy. He appears to be more comfortable around men than women, but, as mentioned earlier, does well with his foster mom.Agate gets along well with other cats and has buddies that are both fosters and permanent cats at his foster home, whom he loves to play and snuggle. He would be most comfortable in a quiet, low to medium level energy home. He will need a patient human or family who understands that he is shy and will  give him the time he needs to acclimate. He will need another cat or two who he can snuggle with and be buddy up with in his new home. He would love to have living space where he can have some hiding places and taller areas to survey the world from. Agate is dewormed, up to date on his FVCRP and Rabies vaccines, neutered, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Please think of giving this sweet boy a warm and loving home. You won't regret it. GoodMews22@aol.com or call 540.717.4420.Interested? Story
Meet Mila and Milo, 2 precious kittens that will keep you laughing. These babies are approximately 6-8 weeks old (as of June 20) and came to us from a local shelter that was over-capacity, placing either their lives or other cats' lives in jeopardy.Mila is a little girl - a brown tabby kitten that will remind you of Daniel Tiger from Mister Roger's Neighborhood. She was born with underdeveloped eyes, so she has very limited, if any sight, but the vet thinks there’s a good chance she has some sight in her right eye. Before you start feeling sorry for this girl let us just tell you, she is fearless! After a couple weeks in foster care, she is happy, healthy and so very playful. She loves to explore wherever she is, and she is a climber! She climbs anything she can in order to explore her world. She loves playing with her brother (from another mother) Milo and does love cuddling with people. She’s a fabulous “under the chin“ cuddler. As fate would have it, Milo came into that very same shelter the same day and the two are absolutely positutely bonded. Milo is a happy-go-lucky kitten with a big purr-sonality. He seems to always have that look of surprise and truly finds everything in life exciting. He is Mila's eyes and her protector. The two play together, sleep together, groom each other, and snuggle together.  Milo is very playful, but is also a A+ snuggler, too! Both kittens have been exposed to cat-friendly children 6 years old and up and do very well with them. Because Mila needs a little extra consideration, we would suggest a low to moderate activity household with children no younger than 6 years of age. (Each case to be considered individually.) Both kittens are/will be dewormed, recieve 2 distemper vaccines, a rabies vaccine, be spayed/neutered, combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. They are able to be pre-adopted now, and will be able to go to their new home in early July. Story
Meet Twinkle and Pixie! These two siblings originally came to us years ago as the only two kitten siblings of a litter that survived euthanasia at a high kill shelter. They were adopted, but have been returned to us due to no fault of their own.Twinkle is a 4 year old, beautiful, long haired, white and gray male. Heis a very loving snuggle boy who loves to eat and be pet almost as much as he loves chasing a wand toy. He flies through the air like a kitten half his size and never wants to stop playing even after he is tuckered out. He is very talkative and loves to be in the middle of everything. He gets along well with other cats and dogs but prefers most of the attention on himself.Pixie is a 4 year old white and gray Agean tabby. She is a sweet, shy girl who loves to be with you and be loved. Pixie was a little skittish in her former home, her adopter felt it was because it was "a little chaotic" due to a lot of pets in the home. Even as a kitten, Pixie was very shy. and Twinkle was her rock. Pixie is playful and snuggly at times and loves to lounge around all day, gazing out the window. She is a quiet cat who enjoys the calm and safety of a smaller area and a small, quiet group of people. We are hoping to get her into a quiet home where she will blossom again.Twinkle and Pixie are bonded and will need to be adopted together. Adopt 1, get 1 free. Twinkle and Pixie are neutered/spayed, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, combo tested negative and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay to reregister every year, we've taken care of it for you.
