Story
Meet Elvis: a rare orange treasure with a heart as soft as his fur. Some cats are special and then there are orange cats. Beloved for their oversized personalities, affectionate nature, comic charm, and devoted companionship, orange cats have earned a legendary reputation among cat lovers, and Elvis is ready to prove every bit of it true. With his irresistibly adorable, slightly muppet-like face, large round eyes, and velvety-soft coat (currently growing back after an unfortunate pre-transport shave!), Elvis is impossibly endearing. His look hints at Persian lineage, and so does his personality: gentle, laid-back, affectionate, and happiest when soaking up love and attention. His expression may sometimes suggest “Sad Kitty,” but don’t be fooled — Elvis is a content, loving boy whose face simply brings smiles wherever he goes. One of his most charming features? His nonstop, thunderously loud purr. Elvis purrs with such enthusiasm that little trills sneak in, sometimes tickling his throat! It’s his way of letting you know just how happy he is to be near his people.Just over a year old, once he settles in and has time to acclimate, Elvis adores companionship. He enjoys interactive wand toys, electronic toys, and occasional bursts of playful energy, but his favorite activity is simply being with you. Movie night cuddles? Absolutely. Warm lap while you work? Perfect. Quiet company on the couch? That’s Elvis’s specialty. He’s affectionate without being demanding and brings a calm, comforting presence to a home.True to his easygoing nature, Elvis can do well with other cats after a proper gradual introduction and patience but would also do fine as an only kitty with people who have time to devote to him. He is fully litter box reliable and appreciates a variety of foods.Elvis’s journey to finding a forever home has not been easy. Rescued from severe cruelty and neglect in Egypt, his story is one of resilience, survival, and second chances. Thanks to devoted rescuers, he made the long journey to Northern Virginia in search of the safe, loving life he has always deserved.Elvis is fully vetted, neutered, combo tested, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever family. His adoption fee is $300, which helps cover veterinary care, vaccinations, neuter surgery, and international transport from Egypt. A portion also supports the dedicated rescuers who saved Elvis and continue their lifesaving work for other vulnerable animals.Elvis is currently fostered in Burke, VA and seeking a loving home with a family who understands he’ll need time to adjust and bond. His rescuers in Egypt hold a special place in their hearts for him and would cherish updates as he settles into his new life.If you’ve been hoping for a sweet, devoted companion with legendary orange-cat charm, soulful eyes, a motorboat purr, and endless affection to give… Elvis may be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Greta — A Beautiful Survivor Searching for the Love She’s Always DeservedWith her luminous amber eyes, soft silvery coat, and unmistakable Persian-like beauty, Greta is the kind of cat who quietly steals your heart. But Greta’s story began far from comfort and security. Found weak and struggling to survive on the streets of Cairo, Egypt, this gentle girl was rescued by a compassionate woman who gave her the chance every cat deserves; safety, nourishment, and kindness. Now fully vetted, microchipped, and carrying her very own passport, Greta has made the long journey to the U.S. in search of something she may never have truly known before: a forever home. What Greta wants most in life is beautifully simple love. She is a sweet, affectionate companion who thrives on closeness and gentle attention. Greta loves soft conversations, quiet companionship, and curling up beside her people for endless pets and affection. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch, answering emails, or watching your favorite show, Greta will happily settle in nearby, content just to be close to someone who cares. Her favorite things include cozy window views, tall cat trees, soft plush beds, and peaceful moments shared with her humans. Her easygoing nature and soft, rumbling purr make her an incredibly comforting presence in the home.Because of her difficult past, Greta may need a little time to fully trust and adjust in a new environment. She may arrive feeling uncertain or overwhelmed and who could blame her after everything she’s endured? But beneath that cautious beginning is a deeply loving cat waiting to bond with someone patient enough to let her bloom at her own pace. The reward will be a devoted, loyal companion who truly knows she has finally found home.Greta’s stunning coloring is known as a Smoke Tortoiseshell pattern, and her coat is likely to become even fuller and more luxurious as she continues to thrive with good nutrition and loving care. Future adopters should be prepared for regular gentle grooming to help keep her beautiful coat healthy and mat-free.Greta has lived with other cats and can coexist peacefully, but she has made it clear that she prefers a calm environment and is not a fan of dominant or high-energy feline personalities. She would likely be perfectly happy as your one and only cherished cat.Estimated to be just over 1 year old, Greta is spayed, fully vetted, combo tested, microchipped, and uses her litter box perfectly like the lady she is.Greta’s adoption fee is $350, which helps cover a portion of her veterinary care, travel, health certificates, and transport expenses and supports the dedicated rescuers in Egypt who continue their lifesaving work for cats still waiting for their chance.Greta is currently being fostered in Burke, VA.If you have room in your heart for a gentle soul who has traveled across the world in search of love, Greta is waiting to meet you. Give this beautiful girl the safe, patient, loving home she’s been dreaming of and gain a loyal companion whose gratitude will shine through every purr, cuddle, and quiet moment by your side.

Story
Lili is a darling young black and white Persian female cat. She was rescued from the streets left to fend for herself. Suffered trauma to her back legs causing her to stumble on occasions. How can you not love her big fluffy face with those black and white markings. She looks like a female Sylvester. Lili is so sweet and lovable. Lili loves to be carried around and loved on. Such an affectionate young lady that likes to give hugs. Lili has had trauma to her back end which prevents her from jumping. We would like to see her in a home without stairs. Story
Zosar is a gorgeous pure white Persian boy we are thrilled to have with us. We are not sure of his age, but he is around 3 years old. He was abandoned like trash on the street. But he is safe now. Zosar is so friendly and sweet. He loves human attention and gets along with other feline friends.. He enjoys brushing and plays well with toys. We would like to see Zosar adopted into a home experienced with caring for Persians and/or long haired cats. His fur needs to be maintained. Fostered in Fairfax, VA.

Story
Epic was rescued off the streets of a major city. The video we received of him showed Epic looking for food next to a very busy street. He was dirty and matted. So sad. Epic is a lovely buff, long haired boy. Despite being dumped no fault of his own he has such a gentle caring personality. He is a quiet cat. He loves gentle soft petting and head scratches. He can be a little spooked of quick movements and sudden loud noises. Epic would do best in a quiet home without children. He gets along beautifully with other cats. Not tested on dogs. He will make a wonderful devoted companion. He deserves a chance to be loved and cared for. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Manny is a stunning medium to long hair male cat rescued off the mean streets. He is safe now. Manny has the most fluffy ruff that surrounds his face. Could be some Maine coon in him. Part Persian. Not sure. Manny has never met a human or cat he does not like. He craves attention. Can be a bit needy at first. Boy, can he play. He needs a large space with a lot of activity. He was in a small apartment for a month and the family realized he has to be able to run around and explore. Extremely active. Manny needs stimulation so another active cat is paramount. He will do great with kids and probably a dog. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Meet Agate! (Pronounced ah-gah-tay.) Agate is  handsome, long-haired tabby. Agate came to us 2 years ago after he and his brother were found in a Culpeper backyard at just 4 months old. They were very close but sadly, his brother passed away and Agate really struggled for a while without him.Agate is. VERY  friendly and charming. He is that socially awkward shy and handsome guy that doesn’t know how handsome he is. At dinner time, he head butts and rubs up against his foster mom in an effort to get as much wet food as he can. During the rest of the day, Agate tends to be more skittish and may startle if approached too quickly. It's hard to say what happened to this poor baby in his past to make him so shy. He appears to be more comfortable around men than women, but, as mentioned earlier, does well with his foster mom.Agate gets along well with other cats and has buddies that are both fosters and permanent cats at his foster home, whom he loves to play and snuggle. He would be most comfortable in a quiet, low to medium level energy home. He will need a patient human or family who understands that he is shy and will  give him the time he needs to acclimate. He will need another cat or two who he can snuggle with and be buddy up with in his new home. He would love to have living space where he can have some hiding places and taller areas to survey the world from. Agate is dewormed, up to date on his FVCRP and Rabies vaccines, neutered, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Please think of giving this sweet boy a warm and loving home. You won't regret it. GoodMews22@aol.com or call 540.717.4420.Interested? Story
Meet Mila and Milo, 2 precious kittens that will keep you laughing. These babies are approximately 6-8 weeks old (as of June 20) and came to us from a local shelter that was over-capacity, placing either their lives or other cats' lives in jeopardy.Mila is a little girl - a brown tabby kitten that will remind you of Daniel Tiger from Mister Roger's Neighborhood. She was born with underdeveloped eyes, so she has very limited, if any sight, but the vet thinks there’s a good chance she has some sight in her right eye. Before you start feeling sorry for this girl let us just tell you, she is fearless! After a couple weeks in foster care, she is happy, healthy and so very playful. She loves to explore wherever she is, and she is a climber! She climbs anything she can in order to explore her world. She loves playing with her brother (from another mother) Milo and does love cuddling with people. She’s a fabulous “under the chin“ cuddler. As fate would have it, Milo came into that very same shelter the same day and the two are absolutely positutely bonded. Milo is a happy-go-lucky kitten with a big purr-sonality. He seems to always have that look of surprise and truly finds everything in life exciting. He is Mila's eyes and her protector. The two play together, sleep together, groom each other, and snuggle together.  Milo is very playful, but is also a A+ snuggler, too! Both kittens have been exposed to cat-friendly children 6 years old and up and do very well with them. Because Mila needs a little extra consideration, we would suggest a low to moderate activity household with children no younger than 6 years of age. (Each case to be considered individually.) Both kittens are/will be dewormed, recieve 2 distemper vaccines, a rabies vaccine, be spayed/neutered, combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. They are able to be pre-adopted now, and will be able to go to their new home in early July. Story
Meet Twinkle and Pixie! These two siblings originally came to us years ago as the only two kitten siblings of a litter that survived euthanasia at a high kill shelter. They were adopted, but have been returned to us due to no fault of their own.Twinkle is a 4 year old, beautiful, long haired, white and gray male. Heis a very loving snuggle boy who loves to eat and be pet almost as much as he loves chasing a wand toy. He flies through the air like a kitten half his size and never wants to stop playing even after he is tuckered out. He is very talkative and loves to be in the middle of everything. He gets along well with other cats and dogs but prefers most of the attention on himself.Pixie is a 4 year old white and gray Agean tabby. She is a sweet, shy girl who loves to be with you and be loved. Pixie was a little skittish in her former home, her adopter felt it was because it was "a little chaotic" due to a lot of pets in the home. Even as a kitten, Pixie was very shy. and Twinkle was her rock. Pixie is playful and snuggly at times and loves to lounge around all day, gazing out the window. She is a quiet cat who enjoys the calm and safety of a smaller area and a small, quiet group of people. We are hoping to get her into a quiet home where she will blossom again.Twinkle and Pixie are bonded and will need to be adopted together. Adopt 1, get 1 free. Twinkle and Pixie are neutered/spayed, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, combo tested negative and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay to reregister every year, we've taken care of it for you.
