Meet Jessy a tiny queen with a giant heart. Jessy is a petite, fluffy beauty with soulful gold-green eyes, adorable ear tufts, and a gentle personality that wins people over quickly. Once she settles into her surroundings, she transforms into an affectionate companion who loves attention, pets, and being wherever her people are. She's the kind of cat who greets you at the door, supervises your daily activities, and rewards your affection with a deep, steady purr that seems to come from her very soul. Calm, observant, and endlessly curious, Jessy enjoys the simple pleasures in life: a catnip mouse, a dangling string toy, a sunny spot to lounge in, and plenty of quality time with her favorite humans. Her foster mom believes she'd make an excellent office assistant, happily overseeing Zoom meetings, keyboard work, and coffee breaks while providing quiet companionship throughout the day. Jessy's loving nature was evident long before she arrived in the U.S. In Egypt, she formed a particularly close bond with her rescuer, often seeking her out for bedtime cuddles and snuggles. She also proved herself to be an excellent traveler during her journey, making her the perfect sidekick for anyone looking for a feline companion who can adapt to new adventures. This sweet girl has endured more than she deserved. After being abandoned by her family, Jessy was rescued and given a second chance. Her beautiful long coat (which hints at Persian ancestry) had to be significantly trimmed before travel due to severe neglect, but with regular grooming, good nutrition, and lots of love, it will grow back into the plush, luxurious fur she was meant to have. While Jessy gets along well with other cats, she would also be happy as your one-and-only pet, provided she has plenty of attention and companionship. She truly thrives on human connection and would love a home where she's considered part of the family. Having recently completed her journey from Egypt in search of a forever home, Jessy is now being fostered in Burke and is ready to begin her next chapter. Because of the special bond they shared, her adopter should be willing to occasionally share updates with the rescuer who loved and cared for her. Jessy is fully vetted with vaccines, spay, combo testing and has a microchip. Jessy's adoption fee is $325, which helps cover her international travel, veterinary care, and also supports the dedicated rescuers in Egypt who continue saving vulnerable cats like her. Zosar is a gorgeous pure white Persian boy we are thrilled to have with us. We are not sure of his age, but he is around 3 years old. He was abandoned like trash on the street. But he is safe now. Zosar is so friendly and sweet. He loves human attention and gets along with other feline friends.. He enjoys brushing and plays well with toys. We would like to see Zosar adopted into a home experienced with caring for Persians and/or long haired cats. His fur needs to be maintained. Fostered in Fairfax, VA.

Manny is a stunning medium to long hair male cat rescued off the mean streets. He is safe now. Manny has the most fluffy ruff that surrounds his face. Could be some Maine coon in him. Part Persian. Not sure. Manny has never met a human or cat he does not like. He craves attention. Can be a bit needy at first. Boy, can he play. He needs a large space with a lot of activity. He was in a small apartment for a month and the family realized he has to be able to run around and explore. Extremely active. Manny needs stimulation so another active cat is paramount. Atlas was found on the street with little boys terrorizing him. Thank God a kind lady grabbed him and took him away. She was too afraid Atlas would go back to that area so she grabbed him and took him to safety. Atlas is a long haired white boy with stunning big yellow eyes. We think he is part Persian and maybe has some Turkish van in him due to his very silky fur. He has blossomed in his foster home once he felt safe. Loves to be petted and doted on. Gets along famously with other cats. We would like to see him in a home with Persian or long haired cat experience. These cats need regular brushing and care. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Jermeen is a gorgeous young all black fluffy kitten rescued from the mean streets. She is so loving and playful. Has acclimated quickly to her foster home with new feline friends to play with. We would like to see Jermeen in a loving home with another cat to play with. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Meet DeeDee (f), Frankie(m), and Johnny(m), just 7 weeks old. These gray tabbies were found waiting in a truck for their mom. Sadly, their mom never returned because she was hit by a car and killed. A Good Samaritan took them home and contacted us.DeeDee has long gray hair with white around her eyes, nose, and mouth. Frankie has short to medium length hair with white around his nose, mouth, chest, and on his paws.  Johnny has gray hair that is short in length with white around his nose and mouth and defined black stripes.  All three siblings are sweet, cuddly and enjoy affection. They love to wrestle, climb, and play.  Their favorite toys right now are foil Krinkle balls and plastic springs.All kittens are/will be dewormed, have a FVRCP vaccine and a booster, a rabies vaccine (when spayed/neutered at 4 months), combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. Meet Agate! (Pronounced ah-gah-tay.) Agate is  handsome, long-haired tabby. Agate came to us 2 years ago after he and his brother were found in a Culpeper backyard at just 4 months old. They were very close but sadly, his brother passed away and Agate really struggled for a while without him.Agate is. VERY  friendly and charming. He is that socially awkward shy and handsome guy that doesn’t know how handsome he is. At dinner time, he head butts and rubs up against his foster mom in an effort to get as much wet food as he can. During the rest of the day, Agate tends to be more skittish and may startle if approached too quickly. It's hard to say what happened to this poor baby in his past to make him so shy. He appears to be more comfortable around men than women, but, as mentioned earlier, does well with his foster mom.Agate gets along well with other cats and has buddies that are both fosters and permanent cats at his foster home, whom he loves to play and snuggle. He would be most comfortable in a quiet, low to medium level energy home. He will need a patient human or family who understands that he is shy and will  give him the time he needs to acclimate. He will need another cat or two who he can snuggle with and be buddy up with in his new home. Meet Mila and Milo, 2 precious kittens that will keep you laughing. These babies are approximately 6-8 weeks old (as of June 20) and came to us from a local shelter that was over-capacity, placing either their lives or other cats' lives in jeopardy.Mila is a little girl - a brown tabby kitten that will remind you of Daniel Tiger from Mister Roger's Neighborhood. She was born with underdeveloped eyes, so she has very limited, if any sight, but the vet thinks there’s a good chance she has some sight in her right eye. Before you start feeling sorry for this girl let us just tell you, she is fearless! After a couple weeks in foster care, she is happy, healthy and so very playful. She loves to explore wherever she is, and she is a climber! She climbs anything she can in order to explore her world. She loves playing with her brother (from another mother) Milo and does love cuddling with people. She’s a fabulous “under the chin“ cuddler.As fate would have it, Milo came into that very same shelter the same day and the two are absolutely positutely bonded. Milo is a happy-go-lucky kitten with a big purr-sonality. He seems to always have that look of surprise and truly finds everything in life exciting. He is Mila's eyes and her protector. The two play together, sleep together, groom each other, and snuggle together.  Milo is very playful, but is also a A+ snuggler, too!Both kittens have been exposed to cat-friendly children 6 years old and up and do very well with them. Because Mila needs a little extra consideration, we would suggest a low to moderate activity household with children no younger than 6 years of age. (Each case to be considered individually.) Both kittens are/will be dewormed, recieve 2 distemper vaccines, a rabies vaccine, be spayed/neutered, combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration.
