Story
S'mores was 4.6 pounds when we rescued her, but her personality was much bigger! She is an amazingly intelligent girl who loves people and other dogs and enjoys being a good girl. She already sleeps in her crate all night, has championed house training (with monitoring), and adores all attention. She has gotten quite comfortable and now is playing with the large dogs in her foster home, and she has no qualms about telling them how it is going to be. She adores children and people of all ages, hanging on laps, and getting attention. Her fosters are very good at having them work for things, and she enjoys showing off her intelligence. We are not sure how large she is going to get, but we do not think she will be over 40 pounds. Her markings are beautiful and we know she is mixed with something, but we have no idea what other breeds are in there. She is a pretty relaxed and chill girl, not outwardly husky aside from her conversation she sometimes has to let you know how she feels about something. Her fosters say she is very easy-going. She is ready for her forever! S'mores is scheduled for spay and microchip in November.

Story
Goose is a sweet boy and loves his people. He gets so excited when you come home that he prances around with a to and wags his happy tail! He is about two years old and weighs about 60 pounds. He enjoys people and does well meeting other adults with a little patience. Goose knows sit, down, and shake. He is a dog that will look at you for direction and will look right into your eyes. He wants to do the right thing, but boundaries need to be set up and enforced gently with Goose. He was a bit under-socialized when we got him back, so we have been working on his confidence, understanding boundaries, and socialization. He goes in to work every day with his foster. He is smart and is loving, and he is house trained and sleeps in the crate all night. He is bigger and strong, but he is not overly active. Goose would make an amazing hiking companion but also enjoys accompanying you to the bathroom and hanging with a movie. He has not really enjoyed being put in the back yard, so he has been just fine getting walked rather than zooming around a back yard. Goose can be dog selective but does listen when a dog does not want him in their space. He also is getting really good at walking on the leash with no reactivity! This is a great big step for him! We are so proud of how far he has come! Truly, he is working hard on how to socialize with other dogs. This comes from being under-socialized and not having limits at his past home. He has gotten along with a couple of dogs previously, but would be happiest as an only dog in the home. He has done very well listening to his foster and learning new limits, and he has learned things quickly. He has a prey drive out on the leash, and that has been getting better with his foster, but he also lives with a confident cat who loves dogs. He does get a bit nervous around small children, so will only go to a home with older children or no children. He needs someone who will give him lots of love and get him outside and adventuring. He is a good boy, and we are working on the dog socialization every day. His confidence is much better right now, and we are working on helping him view the world as a safe place where he can just keep smiling!
