Story
We have had Nala since she was 8weeks old! She is now 5 will be 6 December 22nd! She is a cuddle bug for sure and loves to play! shes very smart and learns quickly. She is kennel trained, house trained and knows basic commands. She loves her paw held. She will literally be your best friend. She needs an active loving family. I have developed an allergy to her fur and while i have been able to manage it pretty well our work situation is also changing within the next few weeks and i dont want her home alone or kenneled for the majority of the day. She deserves better than that. She is up to date on shots and goes to her annual well checks. Shes also been to doggy boarding and does great. Shes great with other dogs big or small and loves kids. she loves anyone that loves her honestly. She is not spayed but probably should be.She will come with all of her things to her new home.

Story
This is dash! He is a 7 year old blue heeler husky. I’ve had him since he was a pup, but due to unforeseen circumstances I can no longer keep him. Dash is a good dog who has been around kids his whole life. He best friends are two little humans. He can be nervous around new people at first, but he warms up once he gets to know you. He will follow you everywhere, cuddle and stay by your side. He loves adventures and would do anything you ask. He has a lot of energy and loves to stay active. He can be food-aggressive with other dogs (including around human food), he would need someone experienced in managing that behavior.

Story
Goose is a sweet boy and loves his people. He gets so excited when you come home that he prances around with a to and wags his happy tail! He is about two years old and weighs about 60 pounds. He loves people and does well meeting other adults. He does get a bit nervous around small children, so will only go to a home with older children or no children. He was a bit under-socialized when we got him back, so we have been working on that and he goes in to work every day with his foster. He is smart and is loving, and he is house trained and sleeps in the crate all night. He is big and strong, but is not overly active. He would make an amazing hiking companion but also enjoys accompanying you to the bathroom and hanging with a movie. He has not really enjoyed being in the back yard, so he has been just fine getting walked rather than zooming around a back yard. Goose is very dog selective and does not truly know how to socialize with other dogs. This comes from being under-socialized and not having limits at his past home. He has gotten along with a couple of dogs previously, but would be happiest as an only dog. He has done very well listening to his foster and learning new limits, and he has learned things quickly. He wants to do the right thing, but boundaries need to be set up and enforced gently with Goose. He has a prey drive out on the leash, and that has been getting better with his foster, but he also lives with a confident cat who loves dogs. He needs someone who will give him lots of love and get him outside and adventuring. He is a good boy, and we are working on the dog socialization every day. His confidence is much better right now, and we are working on helping him view the world as a safe place where he can just keep smiling!

Story
Badger was supposed to quietly die at the shelter. He was listed as an 8-year-old husky mix and when he first arrived here, I honestly thought he was even older and possibly a hospice case. He was stiff, skinny, frozen in fear, and barely moved. But once I put him with younger dogs, something changed. Little by little, Badger started acting young again. He started following the other dogs around, exploring the property, splashing in the pond, and rediscovering happiness. Now he feels like an entirely different dog. I do not know his exact age, but I genuinely believe he is younger than the shelter estimated and he clearly still has a lot of life left in him. Badger now weighs around 60 lbs and is an awesome dog to live with. He walks well on leash, is extremely food motivated, and loves being part of daily life. He is also incredibly good with other dogs and especially gentle with puppies. He lets them climb all over him and will even let them steal his food without reacting. He did eventually figure out how to climb out of the 6-foot chain link kennel, because husky. But unlike a typical husky, he has absolutely no desire to run off or disappear. He mostly stays near the kennel area, follows me on walks, or goes down to the pond for a quick dip before coming back. I honestly don’t even put him up when I leave because he simply doesn’t go anywhere. Badger does great with other dogs overall, though because of his size and goofy personality, he would probably do best with dogs that are confident and not easily intimidated. He is fine with my tiny Chihuahuas because they are bossy and fearless, but very nervous little dogs may get overwhelmed by him simply because he does not fully understand how big he is. Good fit: someone looking for a loyal, goofy, easygoing companion who still has plenty of life and adventure left in him without the nonstop chaos of a young husky. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (neutered/spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $450 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, NY, NJ Think you might be a good fit?
