Story
Hi there, My name is Momo and I can`t wait to meet you!I weigh ~50 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, `come`. Though Huskies are known to be both stubborn and intelligent.I am an affectionate lovebug. I love my people and the attention that they give to me. Though I also love to do my own thing as well.I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. I am barrier reactive when meeting them, but once in the yard with them I calm down and do better. I do better with another calm dog that is willing to give me my own space and respect my boundries (a dog that knows doggy body language). When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I`m a Playgroup Pal! Ask the staff today about my interactions with other dogs at the shelter in our Playgroups.I am currently in a foster home. If you want to meet me please fill out a foster interest form! In my foster home I get along with men, women and children :)I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!

Story
Hi, my name is Casey and I`m available for adoption! I`m a 4yr 6mo old male tricolor Siberian Husky/Austrailian Cattle Dog (ID #A688745). I was brought in by a good samaritan on December 6, 2025. At 72.5lbs I am considered a large breed dog. I am a very happy boy with a zest for life! I love to play, but also have a sweet and affectionate side. I am very treat motivated and will happily sit for them.I would do best in a home with older children. My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction. I would also prefer a home without cats or other small animals.I am neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped! My adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. I was nominated for Pet of the Week on December 30, 2025. This means that my adoption fee has been reduced! This adoption fee includes a King County pet license (if applicable). This helps my safe return home should I become lost, and comes with additional benefits such as Vacation Pet Alert, Free Ride Home and more (visit our pet licensing page for more info)! If you are looking for an playful and affectionate boy to add to your family and are ready to fall in love with my pawesome self, please come down to RASKC to visit me! You can find out more about me and my other friends on our website at www.kingcounty.gov/adoptapet. Also look for me on Instagram with #caseykingcountypetsa688745. Story
I am Vonnegut and am considered a large breed dog. I am young and still lanky, but I will fill out and may get a little taller but not much. I am a very smart dog! When I came to the shelter I knew sit, lay down, stay, come, and wait! I am working on my leash manners while here, but I can pull on the leash hard when I am excited. I am an affectionate and cuddly doggo once I calm down. Right now, I am more interested in getting my wiggles and zoomies out first. I am full of energy, and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise. I love scratches and pets all over and may even cuddle up on your lap when I am comfortable and ready to wind down. Because I have so much energy and I will do best in a home with older children. I can be barrier reactive. This means when I am in my kennel or behind a door or fence in your home I will bark and growl at people walking by until I realize who they are. This is something I would love to work with someone with in training session so that I can stay calm and not look aggressive to those passing me.`So, I hope that you will do the same for the rest of your lives. When things are going sweetly and peacefully, please pause a moment, and the say out loud `if this isn`t nice, what is?` - Kurt Vonnegut
