Story
Vivienne, “Vivi,” is a tortie kitten, spice level mild/sweet. We believe she lived most of her life as an outdoor kitten before she was rescued in January from the frigid cold. Vivi is affectionate and will likely become a Velcro kitty once she fully comes out of her shell. She takes playing very seriously. We found a graveyard of toy mice stowed away in her play tent after she had “killed” them. To unlock the tortitude, simply pet the belly—NO, DO NOT PET THE BELLY—or leave her alone in a room to hear her cry for attention in between naps like a screeching seagull. Speaking of quirks, one of our favorites of Vivi’s is the tip of her tail, which is pointed inwards, creating a small hook and inspiring her nickname “Scoops.” Vivi does well with children and has not yet been tested with dogs, though her easygoing demeanor suggests that she would do well after a proper respectful introduction. Vivienne shows interest in the resident cats in her foster home and would love another kitty to play with, though she could be happy as an only fur-child to someone who will dote on her regularly (or ALL the time, per her). As much as she can hold her own around unenthusiastic resident cats, she will need a patient human to help coax her out of her shell as she learns to trust people and live her best life as your lap cat. Vivienne was born around July 21, 2025, and is currently being fostered in Southington. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org. Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.March 12, 2026, 4:09 pm

Story
Lola was brought in from outdoors when the nice lady that was caring for her, along with her mama (Trish) and brother (Oscar), called Foster and Forever for help.  At first, Lola was very scared of everything and everybody, and was very spicy. She has  come around nicely now with the help of lots of love and patience from her foster family. She runs around the house, playing with other cats and her mama, Trish. Lola will follow her foster mom around, rub on her legs, and look for pets. She will let you pick her up and carry her around, snuggled on your shoulder, and will purr the whole time.  She has soft fur and beautiful swirly markings. She has made good progress while in her foster home, and how has the run of the house! She loves all the other cats in her foster home. She will let you pet her on her terms (when you can catch her), and will reward you with purrs. When Lola has had enough, you may get a swat. She loves her liquid and crunchy cat treats - she is very food motivated! Lola also enjoys toys and is very playful. The perfect home for Lola would be a calm one with no young children. She would benefit from being with other friendly cats to teach her, and an experienced cat owner who will be understanding and help her to work on her socialization. Lola's foster mom believes that, with love and patience, Lola will be a great addition to the right home. Lola was born around July 28, 2024. She is currently being fostered in Waterbury. She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/  Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs. March 12, 2026, 4:09 pm

Story
Adeline's story began when she showed up at midnight at one of our foster colonies. She was hungry, confused, and frightened. Not having a carrier with her, the colony's freed was forced to leave Adeline. Feeling horrible about the events of that night, the feeder woke up very early to go back and find Adeline. Adeline had been waiting for her to return the entire night. Seeing the feeder, Adeline ran to her, purring...the rest is history! The feeder is now Adeline's foster.  Adeline is estimated to be approximately 2 years old. She is a healthy little girl that is full of life and has a lot of love to give. She is being fostered in a home with other cats, dogs and birds. Adeline gets along well with the other cats, tolerates the dogs, but think the birds are appetizers - so please, no homes with birds! Adeline was born around September 11, 2023, and is currently being fostered in Watertown. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
