Story
Meet Bentley! 🐾 This handsome 3-year-old is currently in foster care and ready to find his forever home — and honestly, he's been way too patient waiting for the right family to notice him. Bentley is fully vetted and microchipped, so he's all set on the practical stuff. What he really needs is a home that gets him — and here's what that looks like: 🐱 He would like a cat companion. Bentley does best with another cat in the house. He pays attention, learns from them, and genuinely doesn't like being alone. Got a resident kitty? Bentley just might be their new best friend. 🎾 He lives for playtime. Wand toys, tunnels, more tunnels — this boy has opinions about enrichment and they are correct. If you love an active, playful cat, Bentley will keep you entertained. 🍽️ He knows what he likes. Bentley prefers minced or flaked Fancy Feast (and the Brothers brand), though some days he's strictly a dry food guy. Lickables and treats? Always a yes. 🛋️ He's not a lap cat — but he's your cat. He won't be glued to you on the couch, but he absolutely wants your attention and will come ask for it on his own terms. Respect the vibe, and you'll have a devoted companion. ✅ Bonus: Perfect litter box habits. Uses scratch pads like a gentleman. Bentley deserves a home where he can truly thrive — please share his post and help us find his people! 💙

Not good with kids, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Maui is a young adult domestic shorthair silver/black classic tabby in Waterbury, CT, needing an urgent rescue or medical foster. He has beautiful swirls on his sides, black under-feet, and an "M" on his forehead. I took over his care after his owners became homeless. Maui is unneutered and slips outside daily. He exhibits intense spinal rippling and frantic tail-biting, indicating Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome or a severe flea allergy. Due to pain and hormones, he shows fear-aggression to strangers. He fears men and, while he trusts my child, he will randomly lash out, making a home without kids best. He completely trusts my husband and me, loving head scratches. He grooms himself, but still has a strong intact male odor. Crucially, he enters a carrier willingly—no trapping needed. He needs a no-kill rescue to provide sedated medical care (treat parasites, neuter, and nail trim). This will stop his urge to escape, resolve his defensiveness, and let him safely blossom.

Story
Levi is a young Tabby mix. His owner could not keep him due to housing issues, so I agreed to foster him and his brother, Stitch, to help get them rehomed. I cannot keep them as I already have my hands full with cats and kids of my own.Levi is:• Litter box trained• Good with kids and other cats• A "chatty" cat once he feels comfortable• Likely to run and hide rather than engage in fights• Named after Levi Ackerman from Attack on Titan because he's small and has white "gloves" (Levi Ackerman wears gloves when he cleans ^_^)He can be a little timid and skittish at first because his previous home was volatile, so he needs a home with patience and love. It would be nice if he and his brother Stitch could be rehomed together!💰 Rehoming fee: $75

Story
Xiomara and Cintra will be attending an ADOPTION EVENT on Sunday, September 20 from 1-3 pm on the North Shore Animal League adoption bus, which will be parked in front of Petco, 188 Kitts Lane in Newington, CT. Please stop by for a visit! If you would like an application or have any questions, please send an email: info@ht-ac.org Please include your phone number so we can contact you if our email ends up in your spam folder, which happens sometimes. Xiomara (brown tabby) and Cintra (grey tabby) were rescued as strays, and are in a foster home in Waterbury with other cats. Xiomara LOVES to play, and gets along very well with other cats. She will walk up to any cat, chirp, and give them a head bump to see if they wanna be friends. She is shy initially, and will require patience. Cintra is affectionate and friendly, and likes to cuddle up next to her favorite people in bed or on the couch. She is not fond of being picked up. She gets along with other cats, as long as they are friendly towards her. They are chill kitties, and may be fine with cat-savvy kids aged seven and up. They are bonded and should be adopted as a pair. They are one year old, and have been spayed, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $250 for each cat, and $500 for both cats as a pair.

Amaryllis was rescued as a stray in Waterbury. She is friendly, playful, affectionate, and loves to make herself at home in the laps of her favorite people. She enjoys attention, and will follow anyone around in the hopes of getting some! She is assertive and tends to butt heads with other cats, but may tolerate them if they give her space and don't respond aggressively. She would do best as an only pet. She is one year old, and has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
