Story
PEAS: POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES:She is a super-sweet lady and loves people! She is tolerant and cuddly.POTENTIAL CHALLENGE:Peas may need a slow transition to her new home. She responds well to head pets and a gentle approach, but could try to hide or escape confinement until she feels safe. To help her succeed, she should start off in a single room and only given more space when she is confidently moving around the environment and interacting with adopters. COMPATIBIITY:DOGS: Probably notCATS: Case-by-case: she has a fearful history, but she may be okay with another old, quiet cat.KIDS: Yes, with cat-savvy respectful kids If you think Peas could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Nevins Farm Adoption Center in Methuen. OREO: Oreo is a social, playful and solicitous. He loves attention, and has good litter box manners. He will need a slow introduction to his new home, litter box, and any existing pets while he settles in and becomes comfortable in his new surroundings. He can be vocal at nighttime! In his previous home the neighbors complained because he cried at night time. He might benefit from having another pet in the home if he needs a buddy during the overnight while the humans are sleeping. COMPATIBILITY:Cats: Possibly no history but see above, would benefit from a friendDogs: Possibly no history but see above, would benefit from a friend,Kids: Sure! Story
LILA:Lila will be a playful girl once she is comfortable with her new family. She is a mellow, overall easygoing girl, and prefers a chill spot on the couch looking out a window. She likes to play with string type toys. She will need a slow introduction to her new home - we recommend setting her up in her own space to start (an extra bedroom or bathroom, for example). Choose a space that people or animals do not have access to unless you are going in to clean or feed. She should be left alone initially as she adjusts. This space should include plenty of hiding places, ideally with access to a vertical surfaces as well like a cat tree or a cat-proofed shelf, and easy access to a litter box, food, and water. She should never be approached or pet or picked up when she is hiding or showing fearful body language. Ideally, with enough time to herself, she will begin to relax and move around more freely with visitors to her room.COMPATIBILITY:KIDS: Teens and up! Lila struggled when children were loud in her previous home so she is looking for a low traffic, quiet homeDOGS & CATS: No thanks, to reduce stressIf you think Lila could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Nevin`s Farm Adoption Center in Methuen.
