Mia is a lovely calm girl! She very much enjoys sitting in the window and watching the world go by or snuggling up for a nice long nap in her cat house. She is a quiet cat who seems to really enjoy a quiet, peaceful environment and likes to look at her humans, rather than get pets from them. During Mia`s time at the shelter, she has started to warm up to people and we are starting to see her real personality. While not a social butterfly by any means, she does enjoy lounging in the window and having snacks with her friends. Mia will need a home where she can start off as an only cat and have some time to decompress and warm up to her new surroundings. She is a 2 year old cat, and has a discordant case of FeLV, or Feline Leukemia Virus. This means she has tested positive, but should be retested in her new home. Bernard came to us from a complicated 17 cat neglect situation, and immediately decided that he loves human companionship. He’s picky about how he wants to be pet, and will gently tell you if you’re doing it “incorrectly,” and because of this we think a home with no young kids is best. His perfect day consists of following you around with big rumbly purrs, and sitting next to you wherever you settle in.   And that cute floppy ear? He has a previous history of ear infections, so he likely has this signature flop forever. He might be prone to ear infections in the future, but he’s been happily in the clear for a while now! Bernard is okay with other cats, but will give you the saddest face in the world if you’re petting someone more than him, and we think he’d be his Best Self as a solo guy.   Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. Meet Moo Moo! Moo Moo is a stunning, sassy little queen who knows exactly what she wants — and she’s not afraid to let you know! She would like a larger space to roam and play, such as access to outdor spaces, or working cat placement in a barn or similar area. She’s definitely a “look, don’t touch” kind of girl right now, and if you try to pet her before she’s ready, you may get a little paw whack as a gentle reminder that she’s in charge! Moo Moo takes her time deciding who gets to be part of her tribe, but once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll get to see her playful and affectionate side. She loves wand toys, enjoys a good game, and may reward a successful play session with adorable bunts and rubbing all over you — because, of course, she is the one doing the petting! Moo Moo may make you work for her affection, but that’s what makes earning her trust so special!
