HISTORY: MR. GRAY was brought to F&F when his owner could no longer care for him and is FIV+. However, as is typical with many FIV+ cats, this cat has no symptoms, is in excellent health and expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many “mixed households.” According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species.   TEMPERAMENT: MR. HISTORY: CLARK originally came to F&F when he was facing euthanasia due to lack of space at a shelter in Southern NM. He was adopted by his foster but recently returned to F&F when she could no longer care for him. TEMPERAMENT:  CLARK is a sweet old man who sleeps most of the time. He has diabetes which is managed by twice daily injections, which he tolerates with head pats. CLARK is intimidated by other cats and dogs, and grumbles if they come too close. A quiet home with no dogs or kitties would be best for him.
