Story
HISTORY: MR. GRAY was brought to F&F when his owner could no longer care for him and is FIV+. However, as is typical with many FIV+ cats, this cat has no symptoms, is expected to be in good health and expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many “mixed households.” According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species.   TEMPERAMENT: MR. GRAY is a quiet baby who loves love. He enjoys chin scratches and his warm bed. He is sure to make the sweetest companion. Mr. Gray is certainly a lap cat, and will snuggle all day. He may enjoy a home with a catio. AGE:   born approx. 7/24/20 MICROCHIP #: -3611 DATE OF STERILIZATION: neutered, date unknown VAX RECORD:  FVRCP #1: 4/6/26, FVRCP #2: pending; FVRCP expires: pending; Rabies expires: 3/30/29  FELV/FIV test:  7/24/23 FIV+, FELV- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: If you would like to consider MR. GRAY for adoption but need more information on FIV, educational materials can be requested by emailing adoptions@fandfnm.org.  ADOPTION FEE: $100  If you may be interested in adopting, please complete our online application: https://www.fandfnm.org/application. Story
HISTORY: DUCK was rescued from Canoncito along with fellow Tabby LLAMA and her babies. He was brought to F&F for a chance at adoption. TEMPERAMENT: DUCK is a playful young Tabby who can't resist a wand toy - especially if the wand has feathers. He is shy with people, but the way to his heart is patience and lots of treats. DUCK enjoys spending time with other cats. He has gained self-confidence in his time at our rescue and is now ready to find his forever home. DUCK would make the perfect companion if your cat needs a kitty friend!
