They prefer the company of other animals to humans and like to approach people at their own pace. Lil` Mouse is an unsocialized, outdoor-experienced cat who has spent their life living outside and is best suited for a working-cat placement. Having lived among other feral cats on a property where they received food and water but little human interaction, Indigo prefers to keep distance and is not comfortable with handling. During intake, Lil` Mouse was fearful and avoided touch, which is expected for a cat with a feral background, but there is no known history of bite or scratch behavior. Lil` Mouse will thrive in an outdoor environment such as a barn, stable, workshop, or rural property where they can have safe shelter, regular food and water, and minimal expectations for social interaction.
