He is about a year old. We got him from a shelter a few months ago. He's a very cuddly cat, loves to play and explore. He loves it when people give him butt pats and many treats. He's very energetic and loves being around people. He'll make for a great companion! We hope to find someone who can give him all the love he needs.

Story
Ava & Ori — Bonded Best Friends Looking for Their Forever Home Ava and Ori are a bonded pair who have been together since they were kittens and are looking for a loving home where they can stay together. We adopted Ava first, and when she was about 3 months old, we brought home Ori so she could have a feline companion. They quickly became inseparable and have spent their lives playing, cuddling, and keeping each other company. Ava is a sweet, affectionate girl with a classic cat personality. She can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she loves being close to her humans. She’s easygoing, independent, and isn’t afraid to let you know when she’s had enough attention. She enjoys lounging nearby and occasionally joins Ori for a playful wrestling match or game of chase. Ori is our “cat-dog.” She loves attention and will happily roll over for belly rubs—a rare trait for most cats! Curious and playful, she enjoys watching squirrels from the window

Story
Sig is very skittish. When adopted as a kitten the foster tried to persuade me not to adopt him as she said he will not bond with anyone due to his odd detached personality. This turned out to be true for me.

Story
5 mos old Noodles made her way from an overcrowded North Carolina shelter to the DMV in search of a brighter future and a forever home! This adorable 5-month-old girl sports a pretty brown tabby coat hi-lighted with orange and an even more beautiful heart. She’s happiest being in your arms and soaking up all the love she can get. Noodles is a total sweetheart who loves scratches, playtime, and of course treats. She is a champion cuddler who adores being petted and will purr her heart out to show her appreciation. A big fan of being close to people, Noodle is also a devoted leg-rubber who happily gets underfoot and just wants to be part of the action. She would make an excellent first kitty for a new cat owner and is ready to be someone’s perfect little companion! Posted 6/6/26

Meet Pumpkin 🧡🐾 Pumpkin is a 3-year-old neutered male cat looking for a loving new home. He is healthy, well-behaved, and has a sweet, playful personality that makes him a joy to be around. Pumpkin loves people and enjoys attention, whether he's playing with toys, lounging nearby, or curling up for some affection. He is great with kids of all ages, can be picked up easily, and has excellent house manners. He is litter box trained, not destructive, and is not prone to scratching, biting, hissing, or causing trouble. Raised alongside Colby, Pumpkin learned all the best cat behaviors and has grown into a friendly, easygoing companion. He is playful without being overly energetic and enjoys both activity and relaxation. Due to a family move and downsizing, we are looking for a loving home where Pumpkin can continue to thrive. There is no adoption fee—we simply want to find the right family for this wonderful boy. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate cat with a fun personality,

Story
Meet Atticus – Our Gentle Gray Tuxedo ExplorerAtticus is a sweet gray tuxedo boy with a bit of a mysterious past. He arrived through one of our rescue partners, and while we’re still learning his quirks, one thing is already clear: he is a gentle soul with a lot of love to give.Atticus can be shy when you first meet him, but with a patient, understanding adopter, he blossoms into a confident, affectionate companion. He just needs someone willing to give him the time and space to settle in and show his true personality.Atticus is positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which means his adopter should be mindful of his health and provide regular veterinary care. Many FIV-positive cats live long, happy, healthy lives—and Atticus is no exception. He can even live with other friendly cats.Once he trusts you, Atticus becomes incredibly sweet. One of our volunteers shared:“Atticus at West Ox… lap cat extraordinaire and brave explorer of the cat room.”If you’ve got a soft spot for handsome gray tuxedo boys with tender hearts, come in and meet Atticus.
