Story
Woozle is a charming, silly boy who has truly mastered the art of relaxation. He’s always ready for his next nap and can often be found stretched out in the warmest, sunniest spot he can find, soaking up the rays and dreaming the day away. When he’s not snoozing, Woozle’s goofy personality shines through and is sure to bring smiles to everyone around him. He’d love a home that appreciates a good balance of cozy downtime and lighthearted fun—and a few sunny windows would be the perfect bonus for this sweet, sleepy guy.

***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 5/2/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement – part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Meet Toddy, a spirited 8-pound powerhouse who brings a massive amount of personality to a compact frame. This little 6 month old guy (born 10/2/2025) is the definition of rambunctious, living for high-energy play sessions that showcase his incredible athletic ability. The moment a wand toy enters the room, Toddy goes into full-throttle mode, leaping and pouncing with a focused intensity that is both entertaining and impressive to witness. Because he plays hard and has an engine that never seems to quit, he is looking for a home with a playmate who matches his exuberant energy levels or at least enjoys a good wrestling match. When it comes to other feline friends, Toddy is perfectly respectful; he is okay sharing his space with them, though he generally prefers to keep a polite distance until it’s time for a game of chase. He isn't the type to crowd others, though his ideal companion would be someone who won't be overwhelmed by his "all-in" approach to fun. Toddy is cautious around dogs, though could learn to tolerate a polite canine family member if given proper slow introductions. He should do well with kids. Check out that adorable heart-shaped orange spot on this cutie's right-hand side! If you are looking for a playful, dynamic addition to your family who will keep you laughing with his feline gymnastics, Toddy is ready to bring his high-speed energy to your living room. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Toddy is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Cheetos, a short haired tabby and white boy born 3/20/25, has the long-suffering air of a kitty who thinks "OK, you might eat me... do what you must, sigh, just make it quick." He will be so grateful to join your calm household and be allowed to blossom at his own pace. He's the most challenging to get on video, as the frenetic activity of the other kitties has him mostly hanging back out of the way. You can see in his short clip that he tolerates his grooming session, and KIND OF enjoys the petting and skritches, but his "flight response" is on a hair-trigger. He will likely never be a particularly outgoing cat, but we are sure that having the opportunity to decompress from the shelter in a warm, safe, calm, and loving home setting will enable Cheetos to become a happy and contented kitty. He really just wants a place to call his own where he can be left alone unless/until he wants some attention. Here is more information on adopting a shy cat: https://anticruelty.org/pet-library/adopting-shy-cat We give shy cats an extended 60-day trial adoption period, to give you extra time to bond. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you!
