***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 9/19/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing the Bee Litter! These kittens, born about 4/22/26, arrived with their mama Honey, after spending their first several weeks trying to survive as strays. Right now, they are pretty scared and unsure of what the future holds, but we know as soon as their lucky new families choose them and bring them home, they will quickly realize that humans (and all the baggage that comes with humans) are pretty darn great. They are all quite handleable, just scared and needing a little reassurance. This litter includes: FUZZY - male orange tabby WUZZY - male grey BUZZY - female grey tabby (ADOPTED) We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $70 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Introducing Dolly This beautiful shorthaired tabby/white girl is SO ready for a home of her own. Picture this. You're a young single mother of very active quintuplet toddlers, and someone shows up to say "look pretty and playful, you're on camera!" Now imagine what Dolly thought, and you'll understand her very inactive video. "Please. I am exhausted. I just want to sit here and be adored. Pet me, but for the love of Friskies, please do NOT ask me to exercise in any way, shape, or form. Oh, and WHEN. ARE. THEY. BEING . ADOPTED?!?! I need some rest. Please. I am begging you. Just let me nap for ONE SEC... oh no, they are pouncing on my tail again...." We do think Dolly, who is only about a year old, will be happy to play once the kittens have moved on to their new homes. But if you want to just offer her a warm and cozy, QUIET sunspot for the first week or two, she would worship you forever. Dolly hasn't yet been tested with other cats and dogs (really, 5 rambunctious kitten roomies are ENOUGH for right now), but we will be able to do so soon, as those kittens will be moving on out. Now it's Dolly's turn! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Dolly is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! Story
Woozle is a charming, silly boy who has truly mastered the art of relaxation. He’s always ready for his next nap and can often be found stretched out in the warmest, sunniest spot he can find, soaking up the rays and dreaming the day away. When he’s not snoozing, Woozle’s goofy personality shines through and is sure to bring smiles to everyone around him. He’d love a home that appreciates a good balance of cozy downtime and lighthearted fun—and a few sunny windows would be the perfect bonus for this sweet, sleepy guy.

Introducing Columbia This sweet but shy girl, born around 4/1/2025, arrived at the shelter with her kittens in tow, after being found abandoned outside a home. Columbia has raised and launched her babies successfully, and is now starting to figure out that humans are actually pretty nice, and having regular meals and a safe place to sleep isn't the worst thing in the world. As you can see from her video, she is still stuck a bit in "flight mode" and hasn't taken the time to learn how to play, or how to relax on a person's lap. The good news is, she will let us pick her up and we can tell that, with the right person and some patience, she could learn how to let herself be loved. She's not a fan of dogs, and the energy levels and sounds of small children will probably always be on her least-favorite-things list. She does enjoy the company of other calm kitties. Here is some great information about adopting a shy cat like Columbia: https://anticruelty.org/pet-library/adopting-shy-cat While kitties like Columbia may need a little extra patience and TLC, there is nothing as rewarding as the first time your shy cat jumps up on your bed and chooses to sleep next to you. Trust me, it's worth the wait. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Columbia is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! Introducing Curly This fluffy, medium-haired girl was born 4/13/2026, and came in as part of a feral colony on which we did Trap-Neuter-Return. Curly, however, is about as far from feral as you can get - super affectionate and eager for attention! She is young enough still to adapt to families with other pets and small children. If you're looking for a pair, we'll be happy to match her up with any of the Beach or Aquarium kittens, or to introduce Curly to your favorite kitten from a different litter so they can get to know each other. Video Coming Soon We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. Adoption fee for Curly is a suggested minimum of $70 (more gratefully accepted).
