Story
I'm looking for a new home for my sweet cat. I'm getting married this summer, and we won't be able to bring him to school with us in the fall. He is a very lovable cat and loves attention. He needs someone that he can sleep with and that will pet him after work (or be home with him). He is very well-behaved and great with kids and other animals. He is used to living with another cat and 4 dogs. He was declawed as a kitten and has never been outside so he needs to be indoors. He has urinary crystals and has to eat a specific kind of medicated food so that he won't get blocked up. I'm asking a small rehoming fee to make sure he goes to a good home. Please let me know if you are looking to add to your family or know someone who would be a good fit!

Story
This is Moon, she's about 8 months old. I adopted her and her brother together, and she is the biggest lover. She literally follows me everywhere and hangs out on my counter when I get ready for the day. Recently Moon was spayed, and since the spay my dog has been picking on her. I can tell it's stressing Moon, and she had been hiding more, but also she had stated peeing in places that aren't her litter box. I have gotten extra litter boxes and it has not helped. I read that stress can be causing this, and I think my dog is stressing her out. She IS litter trained and this is just a new reaction. I don't want her to be stressed or fearful of my dog and I think my best option is to re-home her where she feels more comfortable. Because of my experience I am suggesting a home without dogs. She loves children and other cats, she has never scratched me and my niece and nephew play with her and she is super sweet with them.

Story
Rehoming my mom's cat, sweet little Mango. She a 7 year old tabby with so much love to give!! My mom recently retired and downsized and her new place isn't suitable for a cat. Mango is a little reserved and it some time for her to open up, but once she does, she gets very attached to her caregivers. She an indoor / outdoor cat and has a bob tail from an accident when she was a kitten. She is playful, curious, and still has the same energy as her kitten days. I know the right home is out there for her! I am located in Everett.

Story
We got sweet otis in 2018 with his sister Poppy. In 2020 she tragically passed away and that caused otis to become a bit of a scaredy cat. He is a wonderful kitty. We got a new little kitten (Peaches) in 2020 because he missed his sister so much and they are now a bonded pair. So they come together! They fight like siblings and also cuddle up next to each other in the same minute. I think something about losing Poppy really cause some anxiety and stress in him and so part of the reason why we need to rehome him is that he needs a kid-free ideally empty nester situation. Peaceful, calm... He really loves people. We always describe our cats like they are dogs! They follow you, come to you, greet you.. it's the best! We travel a lot and he can get stressed when we leave. So overall, it's just going to be better for both of them to find a new home. We are going to really miss them. There is a lot more I could say! They are our babies. So please reach out and ask!

Story
Alfred is about 10 months old. He's friendly and loves to play. He needs a good home where he can get the attention he needs. I'd love to keep him, but I've become very busy working long hours and I'm not home to spend time with him. He deserves better than what I can give right now and I just want him to thrive and be happy with a family that can give the attention a young cat needs.

Story
Peaches is the best! She is just like a dog. Follows you, comes to you, talks to you and loves people. She doesn't love kids which is why she would need an empty nester or older kiddos home. She is bonded with her brother otis and they have the most sibling type relationship. We love her so much and we are super sad to need to rehome her! We got her in 2020 from a friend whos cat was having kittens! She is such a little peach.

Story
Woozle is a charming, silly boy who has truly mastered the art of relaxation. He’s always ready for his next nap and can often be found stretched out in the warmest, sunniest spot he can find, soaking up the rays and dreaming the day away. When he’s not snoozing, Woozle’s goofy personality shines through and is sure to bring smiles to everyone around him. He’d love a home that appreciates a good balance of cozy downtime and lighthearted fun—and a few sunny windows would be the perfect bonus for this sweet, sleepy guy.

Story
***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 5/30/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement – part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Cheetos, a short haired tabby and white boy born 3/20/25, has the long-suffering air of a kitty who thinks "OK, you might eat me... do what you must, sigh, just make it quick." He will be so grateful to join your calm household and be allowed to blossom at his own pace. He's the most challenging to get on video, as the frenetic activity of the other kitties has him mostly hanging back out of the way. You can see in his short clip that he tolerates his grooming session, and KIND OF enjoys the petting and skritches, but his "flight response" is on a hair-trigger. He will likely never be a particularly outgoing cat, but we are sure that having the opportunity to decompress from the shelter in a warm, safe, calm, and loving home setting will enable Cheetos to become a happy and contented kitty. He really just wants a place to call his own where he can be left alone unless/until he wants some attention. Here is more information on adopting a shy cat: https://anticruelty.org/pet-library/adopting-shy-cat We give shy cats an extended 60-day trial adoption period, to give you extra time to bond. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Meet Emu, a sensitive and stunning almost 3 year old male cat currently searching for a quiet, patient home where he can decompress and feel safe. Emu was originally adopted from Forget Me Not after a long stay as a shy cat, and then found himself back in the shelter when his adopters could no longer care for him. Suffice it to say, Emu is NOT amused and would like to go HOME with you as soon as possible. As a shy guy, Emu prefers a low-key environment where he can initially find a warm and cozy spot to hide out while he adjusts to new surroundings. While he is not a typical lap cat, Emu appreciates affection on his own terms; he enjoys gentle pets but usually only for a short time before wishing to return to his peaceful solitude. He is truly a connoisseur of quiet companionship, allowing you to admire his natural beauty from a respectful distance rather than demanding constant attention. While Emu is timid, he has a definite soft spot for Churu treats, which are an excellent way to capture his attention and build trust, even if he prefers to keep his interactions brief. He isn't particularly interested in toys, preferring instead to spend his days lounging comfortably in a high-up, warm kitty condo or watching the world go by from a sunny window perch. He does fine with other cats, and would prefer a home with NO DOGS OR LOUD LITTLE HUMANS, please. If you have a calm, patient household and are looking for a gentle, low-maintenance companion who will eventually show you the rewarding love of a shy cat, Emu is ready to be your beautiful window-gazing buddy. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Emu is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you!
