The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing the Country Singer Litter - an early 2026 litter of kittens, born about 4/22/26 and surrendered by their owner to our shelter. These five siblings are ready to find their forever homes and are dreaming of the day they get to become beloved family members, YAY! They are easy to tell apart: WAYLON- male, DMH dark tabby with white on paws, chin and sides of nose REBA- female, DMH dark tabby no white on paws PATSY - female, DSH tabby half nose white other half white WILLIE- male, DSH tabby white on face/dark spots on each side of nose MERLE- male, DSH tabby white spot on nose See which picture tugs at your heart while you try to decide if you want to bring one home... or two... or more! They are young enough that they should adapt fine to existing pets, with proper introductions. We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $75 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. Simba has been in our family for many years we got him when he was only 1 years old, it has become hard for me to take care of him, as I am expecting in October, and my 12 year old daughter will be getting open heart surgery 7/31/26 Also. I am not able to maintain the needs of him. Please know that he knows Spanish and English, he’s shy at first and will take a while for him to get use to you. But once he trusts you he is very lovable, caring and playful. Thank you for reading

***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 8/8/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement part of our distance adoption program.***Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Dolly This beautiful shorthaired tabby/white girl is SO ready for a home of her own. Picture this. You're a young single mother of very active quintuplet toddlers, and someone shows up to say "look pretty and playful, you're on camera!" Now imagine what Dolly thought, and you'll understand her very inactive video. "Please. I am exhausted. I just want to sit here and be adored. Pet me, but for the love of Friskies, please do NOT ask me to exercise in any way, shape, or form. Oh, and WHEN. ARE. THEY. BEING . ADOPTED?!?! I need some rest. Please. I am begging you. Just let me nap for ONE SEC... oh no, they are pouncing on my tail again...." We do think Dolly, who is only about a year old, will be happy to play once the kittens have moved on to their new homes. But if you want to just offer her a warm and cozy, QUIET sunspot for the first week or two, she would worship you forever. Dolly hasn't yet been tested with other cats and dogs (really, 5 rambunctious kitten roomies are ENOUGH for right now), but we will be able to do so soon, as those kittens will be moving on out. Now it's Dolly's turn! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Dolly is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! Story
Comet is a soft and loving, but anxious 13 yr old cat. She will be 14 on August 15th and doesn't have a bad bone in her body. She is loving with everyone and has never even hissed at a soul. She has lived with other cats her whole life. My wife passed away in April and I have to sell my house and move to Texas. I need to rehome her so that I can move down to one pet for an apartment. She has fur as soft as a bunny and is fit and a good weight for her age. She has free fed her whole life, but I like to spoil her and give her a gravy pack every other day. She loves chin scratches and back rubs, and she would sleep in you lap all day if she could. She was my wife's kitty for sure, but loves everyone as long as they are calm when approaching. She is specifically indoors, because she is a little scared of the outdoors. She just got a check up, teeth cleaning and extraction, and her rabies vaccine this month. I would like to find the perfect family because she deserves it.

Story
Woozle is a charming, silly boy who has truly mastered the art of relaxation. He’s always ready for his next nap and can often be found stretched out in the warmest, sunniest spot he can find, soaking up the rays and dreaming the day away. When he’s not snoozing, Woozle’s goofy personality shines through and is sure to bring smiles to everyone around him. He’d love a home that appreciates a good balance of cozy downtime and lighthearted fun—and a few sunny windows would be the perfect bonus for this sweet, sleepy guy.

The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Franklin, he came to the shelter as a stray, but it is clear this handsome, buff-colored boy was born to be royalty. He absolutely LOVES humans and craves an endless amount of affection, but he is not a fan of other furry creatures. Because he wants to be the center of your universe, he needs to be the only pet in the home. Franklin, just over a year old, would do best with a castle all of his own, complete with dedicated human servants to feed him, groom his beautiful medium-length coat, and shower him with the non-stop love he deserves. In exchange for your loyal service, Franklin promises to be the ultimate companion. He is fully litter box trained, highly skilled as an indoor mouser, and takes his duties as a professional lap warmer very seriously. If you are looking for a devoted, loving sidekick to rule your heart and home, Franklin is ready to meet his subjects! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Franklin is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). ***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 8/8/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Columbia This sweet but shy girl, born around 4/1/2025, arrived at the shelter with her kittens in tow, after being found abandoned outside a home. Columbia has raised and launched her babies successfully, and is now starting to figure out that humans are actually pretty nice, and having regular meals and a safe place to sleep isn't the worst thing in the world. As you can see from her video, she is still stuck a bit in "flight mode" and hasn't taken the time to learn how to play, or how to relax on a person's lap. The good news is, she will let us pick her up and we can tell that, with the right person and some patience, she could learn how to let herself be loved. She's not a fan of dogs, and the energy levels and sounds of small children will probably always be on her least-favorite-things list. She does enjoy the company of other calm kitties. Here is some great information about adopting a shy cat like Columbia: https://anticruelty.org/pet-library/adopting-shy-cat While kitties like Columbia may need a little extra patience and TLC, there is nothing as rewarding as the first time your shy cat jumps up on your bed and chooses to sleep next to you. Trust me, it's worth the wait. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Columbia is a suggested minimum of $50 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you!
