Simba has been in our family for many years we got him when he was only 1 years old, it has become hard for me to take care of him, as I am expecting in October, and my 12 year old daughter will be getting open heart surgery 7/31/26 Also. I am not able to maintain the needs of him. Please know that he knows Spanish and English, he’s shy at first and will take a while for him to get use to you. You're a young single mother of very active quintuplet toddlers, and someone shows up to say "look pretty and playful, you're on camera!" Now imagine what Dolly thought, and you'll understand her very inactive video. "Please. I am exhausted. I just want to sit here and be adored. Pet me, but for the love of Friskies, please do NOT ask me to exercise in any way, shape, or form. Oh, and WHEN. ARE. THEY. BEING . ADOPTED?!?! I need some rest. Please. I am begging you. Just let me nap for ONE SEC... oh no, they are pouncing on my tail again...." We do think Dolly, who is only about a year old, will be happy to play once the kittens have moved on to their new homes. Introducing Hotdog This lucky boy, born about 4/19/26, originally was destined for a less-than-cushy working life as a barn kitty... but somewhere along the way, he let us know he would much prefer to be someone's adored family member, and who are we to say no to such a sweet plea. While Hotdog may be very slightly shy with strangers, once he knows you, he is a total love! He gets along fine with other cats, and is young enough he should be able to adapt to polite cat-friendly dogs with a slow introduction. He would prefer to avoid screaming toddler parties, but gentle children with soft voices who love to curl up and read with a kitty would be OK for Hotdog. This wonderful girl came to us during a very busy chapter of her life—she was pregnant and dealing with an injured eye that the vet ultimately decided was best to remove. Through it all, Tink has been a total trooper, and losing the eye hasn't slowed her down or dampened her spirits one bit. Tink is a massive fan of human attention and loves nothing more than soaking up all the affection you can give her. Introducing Columbia This sweet but shy girl, born around 4/1/2025, arrived at the shelter with her kittens in tow, after being found abandoned outside a home. Columbia has raised and launched her babies successfully, and is now starting to figure out that humans are actually pretty nice, and having regular meals and a safe place to sleep isn't the worst thing in the world. As you can see from her video, she is still stuck a bit in "flight mode" and hasn't taken the time to learn how to play, or how to relax on a person's lap. The good news is, she will let us pick her up and we can tell that, with the right person and some patience, she could learn how to let herself be loved. She's not a fan of dogs, and the energy levels and sounds of small children will probably always be on her least-favorite-things list. She does enjoy the company of other calm kitties.
