Story
Joey is a beautiful silver and gold tabby/Bengal (we think) mix with long legs. He is a very sweet and affectionate young cat who loves his humans. He’s energetic, inquisitive and focused, able to track a fly in the house until he finally catches it! He loves running water and plays in the empty bathtub. He is leash trained. We have had Joey since 6/1 and have really fallen for him so are heartbroken that we need to rehome him. Unfortunately, the chemistry between him and our older cat (a neutered male) is just not working despite our best efforts, so we have to choose. Joey needs one or 2 playmates closer to his age to play/wrastle with. He likely would also get along with cat friendly dogs, but has not been exposed to dogs yet. Joey is very healthy and is about 11 lbs. He is neutered, chipped and up to date with shots. He responds to his name. Let's have a conversation if you are interested!

Story
PHOTO NOT OF THE ACTUAL CATS: PLEASE READ: We have an elderly family member who lives in Seattle (we live in Kansas City) who has somehow come to have four young cats in her home. She is recently widowed and unable to care for the cats. We have not seen the cats, so we don't know the color, breed or exact age. Although we suspect they are about 1 year. We do know they are not spayed -- and sadly, one is pregnant (unknown as to how far along). We do not know the full situation, but we suspect she is minimally able to care for the cats (keep liter boxes clean...) We will be traveling to Seattle in Sept and will be helping her clean, rehome the cats, etc. We will only be there three weeks, so we are trying to get some leads on rehoming before we arrive. If you'd be interested in learning more about the young cats, and possibly coming for one or more, please let us know. We will fill in information about the cats as soon as we are able to learn more. Our arrival in approx 9/12.

Story
Meet Scar 🐾Scar was born in April 2023 and is truly an amazing cat. He is calm, affectionate, incredibly smart, and has a goofy, playful personality that makes everyone fall in love with him.Rehoming him is one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. I recently had a baby and can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. Rather than keeping him in a situation where I can’t fully meet his needs, I want to find him a loving home where he can thrive.Scar deserves a family who will appreciate his sweet, loving nature as much as we do. He will come with his automatic self-cleaning litter box.My only goal is to find him a home that will love him as much as we have. ❤️Additional info: ( He can be clingy when comfortable, and he is 20Ibs)

Story
We adopted Pasha as a 7-week-old kitten, born on July 29, 2023, to a rescued stray. We love her deeply and provide her with a safe, gentle, and well-cared-for home. However, her aggression started when she attacked a 7-year-old guest who didn't even touch her. Since then, she has launched severe, unpredictable attacks on us—leaving us bleeding and forced to hide for hours until she calms down. For our safety, Pasha has spent most of the past 1.5 years isolated in a separate room. Despite trying everything—multiple vets, breeders, cat behaviorists, socialization, and even attempting to return her to her original foster home—nothing has worked.

Story
Skipper is a mellow cat with some tendencies to play, run around, play fight, and do typical cat things. The owner is my mom who has stage 4 cancer and can no longer properly care for the cat. I can't have a cat where I live so I'm hoping to find a better place for him to live. He is currently an indoor cat but has had outdoor privileges in the past. He's a little overfed and overweight. He's not lived with other cats before.

Story
Say hello to Katie… luminous and oh-so-full of love. Katie came to Haven after losing the only home she had ever known. When she arrived, this dear one weighed close to twenty pounds, carrying far more than her small frame was meant to hold. Since then, our amazing volunteer team has guided her through a gentle weight-loss plan rooted in kindness to her body. She is making slow but steady progress and is now ready for her next step—a new home committed to supporting her as she continues her journey. And oh, does Katie know a thing or two about commitment. She is devotion in motion.A cat who greets you with deliberate, slow blinks. Her paw reaches for your hand, closing the space between.Biscuit-making is an event. Deep, focused, magical.Above all, Katie loves with her whole being.Always. And she’s looking for a new home that has the same to offer.A Haiku for KatieSlow blinks, steady paws, warmth gathers where she settlescare becomes a bond.NOTE: We require indoor-only care for our cat adoptions. The first step in our process is to fill out our application at www.havenrescue.org/catapplication.

Say hello to Stevie Nicks.Seven years old. Black as wet ink. Already named Stevie Nicks when she arrived here. Wow. A fantastic cat with absolutely no interest in pretending to be less interesting than she is.Stevie is wildly people-oriented.She wants proximity.A lap to stretch across.A nearby human to supervise with a not-always-soft conversation carried from room to room as she follows along behind you like a very committed program manager. She is affectionate, social, and wonderfully engaged with her humans. But will also occasionally issue corrective feedback with a quick “that is enough now” paw pop reminder delivered directly to an overenthusiastic hand. And if you are the broom and right beside her … well, all bets are off. She is not a fan. Honestly, we respect the clarity in her communication. She is not mean. She is not unpredictable. She is simply a cat with boundaries and the confidence to file respectful formal complaints when they are crossed. Stevie Nicks is looking for an adult-only home with no other cats ... a calm place where she can fully settle into her preferred role as a beloved lap companion, household shadow, and sometimes opinionated best friend. There is something deeply endearing about a cat who loves hard enough to express herself. And Stevie Nicks absolutely does.A Haiku for Stevie Nicks:Black cat on your lapThe weight of her love is strongNew best friend now homeNOTE: WE REQUIRE INDOOR ONLY CARE FOR OUR ADOPTIONS. WE REQUIRE INDOOR-ONLY CARE FOR OUR CAT ADOPTIONS. THE FIRST STEP IN OUR PROCESS IS TO FILL OUT OUR APPLICATION AT WWW.HAVENRESCUE.ORG/CATAPPLICATIONSay hello to Storm. Storm doesn’t rush the room. She waits at the edges, first taking in the shape of things – a wallflower waiting to bloom. Give her a few beats. She always comes closer. And when she does, it’s wholehearted and full. Storm’s love unfolds slowly. A careful step nearer, a soft settle beside you, then paws that get busy with steady, devoted biscuit work. She’s gregarious in a quiet, brilliant way. Happy to be near, content to share space, playful and deeply tuned in without ever demanding the spotlight. She's the best kind of companion … close without being clingy, affectionate without demanding every ounce of your attention. She'll keep you company while you read, supervise your day from a nearby perch, then invite you into play … surprising you with her sudden acrobatics and reminding you that she is still a young cat. This girl is gentle and bright and funny in those quiet ways that sneak up on you … a cat whose personality keeps unfolding. If you're looking for a kit companion who brings both calm and color into your home, Storm is waiting.
