Story
Joey is a beautiful silver and gold tabby/Bengal (we think) mix with long legs. He is a very sweet and affectionate young cat who loves his humans. He’s energetic, inquisitive and focused, able to track a fly in the house until he finally catches it! He loves running water and plays in the empty bathtub. He is leash trained. We have had Joey since 6/1 and have really fallen for him so are heartbroken that we need to rehome him. Unfortunately, the chemistry between him and our older cat (a neutered male) is just not working despite our best efforts, so we have to choose. Joey needs one or 2 playmates closer to his age to play/wrastle with. He likely would also get along with cat friendly dogs, but has not been exposed to dogs yet. Joey is very healthy and is about 11 lbs. He is neutered, chipped and up to date with shots. He responds to his name. Let's have a conversation if you are interested!

Story
HEARTWARMING RESCUE STORY DOB 8/26/22 Hey there, everyone! I'm Lollis, a very affectionate, delightful, playful “torbie” gal which means that I'm a brown tabby with patches of peach that makes me look like I was splashed with caramel in a candy factory. I can't get enough time to spend with Foster Meowmy, so I sleep with her and am always asking her for cuddles, especially when I don't have to compete with the resident cats for her attention. Although my independent, freedom-loving spirit has proven helpful in dealing “as needed” with the dogs, other cats, and kids in my foster home, my innate friskiness has made me a perfect companion for those same kids. I’ve been very bonded to Foster Meowmy ever since she spotted me at her jobsite as a seven-month-old stray kitten who had no momma or siblings in sight. Realizing that Foster Meowmy was my ticket to a life that was better than dumpster diving, I wasted no time and ran up to her. She scooped me up and drove home with me cuddled in her lap. Yes, our special connection began on that unforgettable journey. To this day, in those cherished moments when I need a little snuggle, it’s Foster Meowmy to whom I turn when I seek cuddling. I hope that my heartwarming rescue story has touched your heart. Yes, I chose Foster Meowmy, and now it's time for you to choose me to be your next feline companion. I want to become an integral part of your life and make every day an adventure worth sharing. Arrange to meet me today, and let's form a bond that's unbreakable! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a gal like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your family heirlooms. HOPE ID 23-1014-A047 Lollis is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $325 adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Story
SWEET MOMMA DOB 5/1/23 Ms Ethel is a sweet mittened torbie who, although she prefers not to be picked up, will come over to you for petting and snuggling. Ms Ethel is a stately kitty who is independent and can go hours on end without needing humans. She's simply a low-maintenance kind of gal. Ms Ethel was brought into HOPE when an elderly couple found her and her newborn babies in their backyard. Completely soaked and very hungry, the kitties needed immediate help. A foster stepped up and took in the forlorn family. Fast forward months later, and all the kitties have been adopted with only Momma left. Can Ms Ethel bring her sweet, undemanding ways to take the bite out of your being alone? Or bring some quiet companionship after your long, hectic day at the office? If so, arrange to meet her so you can give her some much-appreciated scratches and snuggles. Just because she’s independent of humans doesn’t mean that she doesn't have something to give others. In fact, she has so much love to give – all she needs is YOU! HOPE ID 24-0515-G124 Ms Ethel is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $325 adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Story
Jill or “Jilly Bean” has been with us since late winter. She was my mom’s cat. Sadly we lost my mother last year. Jill can be sweet, and can also hiss like a horror movie hellspawn cat. She’s not good with our cat or our dog. She’s safe and healthy here but we feel like she’s not living her best life being relegated to the garage. She’s slowly maybe getting used to our cat but they still aren’t good for each other. Jill is super loving when 1:1, but can also be quick to claws out when she’s had enough pets (there is zero warning) she’s indoor outdoor. Will take down rodents, but is more likely to snag an unsuspecting bird (so be careful around your bird feeders). We will not take her to a shelter but want to explore finding her a good match. I can likely track down her vet records but I don’t have them right now.

Story
Say hello to Stevie Nicks.Seven years old. Black as wet ink. Already named Stevie Nicks when she arrived here. Wow. A fantastic cat with absolutely no interest in pretending to be less interesting than she is.Stevie is wildly people-oriented.She wants proximity.A lap to stretch across.A nearby human to supervise with a not-always-soft conversation carried from room to room as she follows along behind you like a very committed program manager. She is affectionate, social, and wonderfully engaged with her humans. But will also occasionally issue corrective feedback with a quick “that is enough now” paw pop reminder delivered directly to an overenthusiastic hand. And if you are the broom and right beside her … well, all bets are off. She is not a fan. Honestly, we respect the clarity in her communication. She is not mean. She is not unpredictable. She is simply a cat with boundaries and the confidence to file respectful formal complaints when they are crossed. Stevie Nicks is looking for an adult-only home with no other cats ... a calm place where she can fully settle into her preferred role as a beloved lap companion, household shadow, and sometimes opinionated best friend. There is something deeply endearing about a cat who loves hard enough to express herself. And Stevie Nicks absolutely does.A Haiku for Stevie Nicks:Black cat on your lapThe weight of her love is strongNew best friend now homeNOTE: WE REQUIRE INDOOR ONLY CARE FOR OUR ADOPTIONS. Say hello to Katie… luminous and oh-so-full of love. Katie came to Haven after losing the only home she had ever known. When she arrived, this dear one weighed close to twenty pounds, carrying far more than her small frame was meant to hold. Since then, our amazing volunteer team has guided her through a gentle weight-loss plan rooted in kindness to her body. She is making slow but steady progress and is now ready for her next step—a new home committed to supporting her as she continues her journey. And oh, does Katie know a thing or two about commitment. She is devotion in motion.A cat who greets you with deliberate, slow blinks. Her paw reaches for your hand, closing the space between.Biscuit-making is an event. Deep, focused, magical.Above all, Katie loves with her whole being.Always. And she’s looking for a new home that has the same to offer.A Haiku for KatieSlow blinks, steady paws, warmth gathers where she settlescare becomes a bond.NOTE: We require indoor-only care for our cat adoptions. The first step in our process is to fill out our application at www.havenrescue.org/catapplication.

Say Hello to Finn … Finn is at that delicious age -- somewhere between kitten and cat -- but we are fairly certain he has already signed up for every available life experience. He is the first to investigate. The first to welcome. The first to wonder what happens if...Everything deserves investigation.Every shelf.Every bird in the windowEvery mysterious sound from the other room. There is a wonderful momentum to this young guy. He moves through the world with curiosity wide open, convinced there is something worth discovering around every corner. And more often than not, he's right. And yes …he is gorgeous, and his markings stop people in their tracks. But it is his personality that keeps them there.Spend five minutes with Finn, and you'll stop talking about how he looks and start talking about who he is.He is wildly people-oriented and, dare we say it, sort of dog-like. He wants to be part of your day, happily following along to see what comes next. If you're making dinner, he's there. Folding laundry? He's available to help. Working at your desk? He has several thoughts on the matter.Finn also comes equipped with a championship-caliber purr and an impressive vocabulary. If Finn has spent the afternoon on an important expedition, he'll likely have a full report to deliver when he gets back or maybe even when he is still on his mission. This dear boy isn't looking for a home where life happens around him. He's looking for one where he gets to be right in the middle of it. A Haiku for Finn:Bright eyes, busy feetEmbracing the whole wide worldAdventure beginsNOTE: The first step in our process is to fill out our application at www.havenrescue.org/catapplication. NOTE: We require indoor only care for our adoptions though catios are fantastic!
