Say hello to Puck. A young cat who embodies the kind of perfection that quietly transforms a space into something extraordinary. Think of the first sip of a perfect cup of coffee … warm, comforting, and awakening all at once. The soft orange sherbet glow of a sunset in August, casting everything in mesmerizing light. Or the satisfying sensation of a ripe blackberry stain on your finger after an impromptu jump out of the car, roadside picking moment. Unexpected, a little messy, yet unmistakably sweet. Puck's personality is a collection of these moments—vivid, memorable, and entirely without pretense. From the moment he enters, it’s clear this dear kit isn’t content to observe from the sidelines. He’s eager—intensely curious about everything around him, an explorer with a heart full of wonder. He adores people with an exquisite, open-hearted enthusiasm. Whether greeting visitors at the door, curling up nearby after a day of exploration, or sharing a quiet moment nestled beside you, he has a way of making companionship feel effortless. Every part of Puck's personality shows he’s eager to belong and be the best friend cat who brings a vibrant, steady force into a life that adores him. If you’re looking for a cat with a big heart and big love ... Puck would like to have a word with you.Haiku for PuckGray fur and bright eyes,Curious leaps and warm purrs,A friend for all days. Story
Say hello to Blaze… the second spark in the little constellation our volunteers lovingly call the Fireside Kittens. A silver-blue shimmer, he’s elemental alchemy at its best. A flicker of bravado, a rush of sweetness, a small magnet that draws near.He is bold in a generous, open-hearted way, and in one artful combo move of love blink, mew and outstretched paw, quickly draws you into his orbit. He’s an endlessly overflowing cup of love. For people, other cats, toys … and the sunbeam he’s decided is his new best friend. He’s also an instant purr pot. Touch him, speak to him, even look his way for more than two seconds, and his motor kicks on. Humming with happiness and possibility.Like his siblings, Blaze thrives in feline and human company. His best life requires another young, social cat to chase, wrestle with and whisper kitten nonsense to in the middle of the afternoon. Because of this, we are focused on adopting him with his brother or one of his sisters, though we’ll consider a single adoption if there’s an equally spirited and young resident kit already waiting at home. The first step in our process is to fill out our application at www.havenrescue.org/catapplicationQuestions? Say hello to Ember … a breathtaking slipstream of a kitten. She is gleam and glide. The kind of beauty that sneaks up on you and makes her mark. She’s gregarious in an effortless way and fluent in friendship. Walk into the room, and she’s already at your ankles, quickly closing any space that was between you.Ember moves with purpose. Usually the playful kind. She studies the feather toy with the seriousness of a physicist, calculating the exact trajectory needed to intercept its flutter. And when she springs, she is one part grace and one part wild joy, but all Ember. She’s a dedicated birdwatcher, too. The window is her cinema, the sparrows her morning programming, with the Douglas squirrel that sometimes comes into view, the cherry on top of her naturalist moments. Above all, this dear one thrives on company and real connection. And because her best life will include living with another young, social cat to share secrets, mischief, and mid-afternoon wrestling matches, she needs to be adopted as a pair with one of her littermates. However, we’ll consider a single adoption if there’s another gregarious feline waiting at home to welcome her into the fold.Haiku for EmberPerfect little oneeyes charting her next bright leapwarmth in motion shines.NOTE: We require indoor-only care for our adoptions.

Here?”Murphy (he of the wild whiskers and magnificent ear-hair situation) and his ten equally adorable, amaze-balls siblings have been patiently waiting for their forever humans. They’re just over the 4-month mark. Gregarious beyond measure. Cuddlers of Olympic caliber. Charmers that hit harder than espresso.Murphy says it’s time. Time for couches to be claimed, hearts to be conquered, and snack cabinets to be, well… inspected.Who’s ready to let this whisker-wild wonder (or one of his crew) move in and get on with the business of loving you?Adoptions are open now. Say hello to Banjo … a delicious year-old cat who is pure charm. A soul who rounds out the edges of the day and always makes it better.Banjo is a big letter “E.” Engaging. Easy. Endearing. He is one of the first to make friends with new cats that come into the shelter, and loves a big cuddle puddle cat pile or a tandem run on our giant cat wheel. Banjo is also the first to greet people when they come in the door, and he follows with a dance of leg-rubbing, play invitations, and slow-blinking love gazes. This special boy radiates goodness and an uncomplicated joy that curls itself in your lap and purr hums. He’s loyal without being clingy, curious without chaos, and generous with love in all directions.Banjo is looking for a home where people are home more than not, and because he is a social butterfly, he needs to be adopted with his sibling, Puck, or into a home with another young, gregarious cat to become his new best friend. Say hello to Smokey ... next in line of the Fireside Kittens. Gorgeous gray with a brush of white hidden on her belly like a secret signature. This girl fills spaces. Not loudly. Not forcefully. Just completely The back of the chair, the top of the dresser, draped across the thing you were about to pick up. Testing the toilet paper roll. Always there helping with the broom when you sweep. She flat-out adores playing ... a champion of zoom-filled wrestling matches, and toys fill her imaginary short-story anthology. She is the master hunter chasing the feather-wand sparrow. The crinkly ball is the clever mouse she must find in the cave shadows under the couch. The spring toy, the dragonfly, she captures with a carefully calculated pounce strategy. Then, when the narrative slows, she settles into the epilogue, which is her favorite chapter … curling close to people and turning on her unmistakable purr box. Smokey is movement and warmth, curiosity and closeness. Fully present, she leaves nothing untouched.Like her littermates, this special girl is built for connection. She needs another young, social cat to share the chase, the wrestling matches, and the quiet moments when the house slows down. Because of this, she’s looking for an indoor-only home where she can be adopted with one of her siblings or join a household with another playful feline ready to welcome her.The first step in our process is to fill out our application at www.havenrescue.org/catapplicationQuestions? Story
Bella is looking for a new, loving and responsible home. Unfortunately, his previous owner has Alzheimer’s and can no longer care for him. He is very shy. However, once he gets to know you, he is very friendly and sweet. Details about Bella: -Yes, Bella is a boy! -For the past 7-8 years, Bella has been a single, indoor cat. Previously, we believe Bella was an indoor / outdoor cat. -He does not like to be picked up. Because he is shy, he gets startled easily. -Best for an adult home, with no other pets. Probably not a good fit for young children. -Health: Spayed, vaccinated, and in excellent health. (Veterinary records are available.) -Age: Approximately 13-15 years old but in excellent health (we have veterinary records).

Story
Gai, our beloved black cat, is seeking a new, quieter home. He’s always been a skittish fellow, but his shyness has deepened into being antisocial over the years, especially with the arrival of our three children. Our household is poised to become more chaotic as our rambunctious sons grow, and we know that Gai will become more miserable as a result. We believe he would thrive in a calm and peaceful environment where he can relax and explore at his own pace. Gai is a gentle soul who simply needs a calm environment and patient human friends to blossom. Gai is 10yo, neutered, and up-to-date on his shots/teeth cleaning as of 8/2025. He’s also social with our other cat. Energetic dogs wouldn’t be a good fit.
