Story

OMAR: Plott Hound Mix / Neutered Male / 1 Year Old / 35 lbs Omar is a cheerful, affectionate young boy with a gentle soul and a heart that is remarkably forgiving. After everything he has endured, he still wants nothing more than to be near people, feel safe, and receive the kindness he should have known from the very beginning. Omar sleeps peacefully in his crate, gets along well with other dogs, is not destructive, and enjoys going for walks in the park. He happily shares his bed and space and loves the simple comfort of being close to someone he trusts. There is something incredibly special about a dog who has been hurt by people yet still chooses to love them. Omar and his companion were rescued from a homeless man who subjected them to horrific abuse. They were beaten with sticks, kicked, and screamed at. Tragically, Omar's companion was also seriously stabbed in the back and needed immediate veterinary care. Their rescuer stepped in, took them away from the danger, and rushed her to the veterinarian for treatment. When Omar was rescued, he had every reason to be afraid of people. But instead of becoming bitter, he slowly began to show his true nature: a sweet, loving, trusting boy who simply needed someone to show him that he was finally safe. Omar did not choose the life he was given. He did not deserve the cruelty he experienced. But he still has so much love to give. Now, he is waiting for the person who will give him the life he has always deserved — a safe home, a soft bed, peaceful walks, loving arms, and the security of knowing that he will never be hurt again. Sometimes, the dogs who have suffered the most become the ones who love the deepest. Omar is one of those special dogs. ❤️ If you think you can give OMAR the loving, safe, and forever home he deserves, please contact Reyna: Email: miracledogrescue@gmail.com Phone: 323-383-8883

Story

Looking for a sweet, handsome hunk with soulful eyes, a gentle heart, and a serious appreciation for a comfy bed? Meet Ace! This approximately 6-year-old, 65-pound Plott Hound is the whole package: a gorgeous brindle-coated gentleman with a laid-back personality and a heart full of love. He’s kennel trained and happily trots right into his kennel when asked. Car rides? No problem! Ace is a calm and easy-going travel buddy who’s ready to ride shotgun on your next adventure. Ace gets along well with other dogs, too! And while he is a Plott Hound, he seems to have misplaced his hound choir membership. Doesn’t appear very vocal in our care. Maybe he’s saving his big performance for a special occasion. Ace is a strong puller on leash, so he’ll need a person prepared to help him work on his walking manners. He did very well with a properly fitted nose halter or prong collar, and his future human should be comfortable using appropriate walking equipment safely. Like most adoptable dogs Ace may also need a little extra patience and security while he bonds with his new person and settles into his new home. He can be a flight risk during this adjustment period, so a securely fenced yard of at least 5 feet is recommended. He must remain leashed on walks, and he should never be left unattended in the yard until he’s fully acclimated and reliable about staying home. Think of it as keeping this handsome explorer safe while he learns that he’s finally found his forever place. Ace isn't asking for a mansion or a million-dollar dog bed (although he probably wouldn't complain). He just needs a loving human, a little patience, a safe place to call home, and someone willing to help him settle in and shine. Could you be the lucky person who gives Ace his happily-ever-after? Ace is available to adopt in Utah. Please visit our website to complete an adoption application for Ace: https://jasonheigl.foundation/adopt/dog/ace/

Story

SADIE, OUR SHY LITTLE SOCIAL BUTTERFLY! 🦋🐾 Sadie is the kind of dog who just fits right into the family! She's sweet, gentle, bubbly, and wonderfully easygoing. She's about 1½ years old, possibly a plott hound or pittie mix, and a petite 40–50 pounds. She's already house trained and crate trained! She's fantastic with other dogs, cats, and even little kids, including toddlers! She's shared kennels with several different dogs and has proven to be quite the social butterfly. She's more of a follower than a leader, with a gentle play style and a love for being part of the dog gang. She can be a little shy at first, but you can practically see how badly she wants to join the fun. Give her a little time, and that happy, adorable personality comes shining through! ❤️ We've been in love with Sadie since her picture first appeared on the shelter website. We watched as days turned into weeks, then months, and somehow this beautiful girl was still waiting. We couldn't let time become her enemy, so we rescued her along with her kennel mate, Sir William Flufflebutt (Bill to his friends 😂). We can't imagine anyone meeting this sweet girl and not falling completely in love. Just look at that smile! 🥹❤️ 📍 Murrieta, CA 🐾 Apply at thecomebackpack.org
