Story
~AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION~ This handsome fella is 3yr old, 65lb, mixed hound/bully breed named Marley. Marley came to us from a high kill shelter in North Carolina where he was surrendered for his family having too many dogs. Marley is as sweet as they come. He loves to love everyone he meets. Marley has shown he is good with kids while at his NC foster home. He tolerates his crate and will probably find it more enjoyable once he can expend his energy after his heartworm treatment is complete. He is housebroken and does well on leash. He enjoys spending time with people and is just happy to be a part of the family.  As well as arriving to the shelter a bit under weight Marley was found to be heartworm positive and is undergoing treatment in our rescue. Marley receives his second round of injections the week of April 20th. His heartworm treatment is paid for by us (the rescue) and upon completion he will be heartworm free and needs to remain on monthly heartworm preventative (as all dogs should) for the remainder of his life to prevent this from happening again.  Marley is microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventatives with an adoption fee of $375. Marley is not yet neutered but an appointment will be made via the rescue after his heartworm treatment is completed. If you think this handsome hunk of love would make a wonderful addition to your family please fill out our adoption application at: https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-application Thanks!  May 12, 2026, 2:03 pm

He would love a family ready for puppy adventures, training, and lots of cuddles after playtime. Beans is crate and leash trained and does well with dogs and kids. He is also working on potty training and will need a patient family committed to continuing his training and helping him grow into the amazing dog he is meant to be. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mika arrived from Puerto Rico with her travel companions, and we are delighted to have this bundle of happiness.   Mika is a Sato dog which is a street or beach dog from Puerto Rico. The Sato refers to a variety of small to medium-sized stray dog. Satos are similar in appearance to small Pointers or Terriers. These free-ranging dogs are known to make excellent family pets. Unlike other feral dogs, the Satos have a small territory, and many are always in contact with people.  Mika was referred to as a Labrador/Plott Hound mix by the veterinarians who vetted her in Puerto Rico. Whatever she is, she sure is sweet. Mika is described by the folks who cared for her at Punta Santiago who rescued her as "amazing with dogs of all sizes, super people friendly, and having no food aggression." She is very happy and friendly and will make a perfect lap dog for some lucky family. Mika is approximately a year old and cat tolerant with supervision. We are looking for an adoptive family or foster home. Mika's adoption fee is $500.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 14, 2026, 4:01 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   *This is a courtesy posting. Harlan is not at DPR, but his current owner asked us to help find him a great home!* Meet Harlan – A Sweet, Spirited Hound Looking for His Perfect Home Harlan is a 3-year-old hound mix with a heart as big as his nose! His Wisdom Panel DNA results reveal a rich hound heritage—53% American Foxhound, 26% Plott Hound, 19% Treeing Walker Coonhound, and a touch of Bluetick Coonhound—so it’s no surprise that he has a strong prey drive and a passion for following scents wherever they lead. Originally rescued after being abandoned on the side of the road, Harlan has blossomed into a loving, energetic companion. He adores being outdoors and lives for long walks, sniffing adventures, and any opportunity to use his hound instincts. He’s happiest when he has a job to do or space to roam, making him a great fit for an active household with land, a secure yard, or even a family who enjoys hunting or has experience with working breeds. Harlan is:  Up to date on all vaccinations  Neutered  Paperwork in hand  House-trained and eager to please  Best suited for someone experienced with strong, active dogs While Harlan is deeply affectionate and eager for companionship, he’s not the best fit for homes without secure fencing or those with limited mobility. His enthusiasm for tracking means he can be a strong puller on walks—even with training tools—and needs someone who can manage his strength and give him the stimulation he craves. We love Harlan dearly, but due to serious health challenges in our family and the lack of a secure yard, we know we’re no longer the right home for him. Our greatest hope is to find someone who sees his potential and can give him the life he deserves: safe, stimulating, and full of love.  If you have room in your home—and heart—for a smart, loving hound ready for his next adventure, please reach out. We’re happy to share more about his personality and history. Helping Harlan find his forever home would mean the world to us.  If you are interested in adopting, pleas fill out a 'Dog Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:30 am

Story
💕 Foster Update 💕 “Now that he’s spent some time with us, it’s very clear that Bingo loves people, food, the sun, and sleeping under blankets, in that order. He’s his happiest when he can be with his people friends or bathing in the sun but preferably both at the same time. He does great in the car and is house trained. He’s a very sweet dog who just wants to snuggle and maybe a bully stick or two.” ⭐️ Bingo’s adoption fee has been sponsored by Debi McKee ⭐️ Meet Bingo! Bingo is a very special man that came to us through Angel’s Retreat’s “ACCTs of Love” program due to needing advanced care as he was suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. Bingo originally came to the other shelter as a stray found in a mobile home park with a gunshot to the top of his nose cavity. When Bingo was found, despite the massive amount of pain he was in, they reported him to still greet the strangers that found him with tail wags, and looking to be petted 🥹 Bingo’s wound was caused from a bullet going through his skull, through the roof of his mouth, through his tongue, and then getting lodged in his neck. Amazingly, the bullet missed all his airways and vital organs! He needed time to heal but recovered beautifully and is ready to find his happy ever after! 🫶🏼 Bingo has done wonderful learning these skills, house, manners, doggy manners, and how to be the all-around great boy. He is a quick learner, and the biggest lover you could imagine. He wants nothing more than a person to give all his love to! Could you be that person? If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Bingo Quick Facts: -He is house trained and has great manners -He is the sweetest boy who would love nothing more than a person to snuggle and kiss! -He is gets along with dogs he knows but does require a proper dog introduction -He is a sunbather! He is more interested in chilling and snuggling than being very active -He needs someone who can continue to work on his confidence building on a leash, but he is doing wonderful learning with his favorite volunteers! -He loves his people friends and is a leaner who loves to lean on people to get some love 🫶🏼 Angel’s Retreat West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335
