History: Rambo is a striking young dog with a lot of love to offer the right environment. He thrives with consistency and a confident adopter as well as being the only dog in the home. He likely was not set up for success as a young puppy and never learned those fundamentals in sharing :) Because of this, a non-kid home is also recommended. He is a great boy and with the right family will be a wonderful addition to the family! A Note from the Foster: Hi! I’m Rambo - Let me get right to the point and tell you a little about me!! I take the job of “best friend” very seriously. I’m the friendliest guy around! If I’m really excited to see you, I might even give you a hug… but I try to be polite, so I’m also big on handshakes, because I’m a gentleman like that. On the daily, I’m usually sleeping next to my foster mom while she works, keeping an eye out the window for anything suspicious, or (when my foster mom is in the office) hanging out in my kennel. Mostly, I’m pretty chill. A couple times a day, I get the zoomies, and I love to go full steam ahead then! 🚂💨 My absolute FAVORITE game is tug-o-war, especially when I get the zoomies. I’m a strong boy, so I’ll definitely win! I’ll even bring my toy right to you when I want to play, which is super cute (or so I’m told!). I know sit, and I take treats very gently. My kennel is my happy place, second (of course) to being with my people. My foster mom was so surprised with how obedient I am when it’s time to go “kennel.” I’m potty trained, and I ask to go outside if I need to. When we go on walks, I’ve been making great progress on my leash manners. I’m a big dude who just loves to sniff… but I get that sometimes we have to leave those interesting smells alone. My profile says “only dog” or something. The reality is, I’m sure there are dogs out there I could learn to coexist with and often try to make friends when out and about… but I’d really prefer to be your one and only canine. If I could pick, I would love a family that would take me on fun adventures. I love exploring and going on walks, and I think hikes sound like a great time! If you’re looking for a new best friend, you’re in luck — because I would love to BE your new best friend! If you give me your love, I’ll give it all back - and then some. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kellog and his siblings found themselves dumped in a high kill shelter in West Texas when they were sick and very young. Kellog and one sister are the only survivors. His sister is still working on getting healthy. Kellog loves all dogs and everyone. He good with dog savvy cats. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful. Kellog is a sweet boy who loves his treats. He catches on quickly to new things. He may take a moment to survey the surrounds when in new environments, but then he is ready make himself at home. He is an very adaptable pup. He lived in the cities for a short time and he did great and is an ideal candidate for shared wall living. He is great with other dogs and while he is interested in the cat, he minds his P's & Q's with it and is very respectful and even plays with it. He has come a long ways on his leash skills and with some more work he will have it perfected in no time. He is kennel trained and housebroken. He does enjoy a good snuggle with his humans. She is in a foster home trying to learn how to be in a house and how to get along with cats. She will need a yard or activities to stay busy per her breed mix. She has done well on a leash, she feels more comfortable if there is another dog along. She is a happy, friendly girl who would be a wonderful companion for any family.
