She has a naturally timid personality, but beneath that soft uncertainty is a sweet, curious pup who truly wants to connect.Mitzi loves treats, soft beds, ear rubs, and going for walks. She doesn’t enjoy the kennel, cold weather, transitions between rooms, or when other dogs bark at her. She’s naturally curious, but there’s a delicate balance between her curiosity and her timidness. Sometimes even someone walking by unexpectedly can startle her.Mitzi will thrive in a calm, patient home that understands shy dogs and is willing to let her build confidence at her own pace. With kindness, routine, and gentle reassurance, this sweet girl has so much love to giveIf you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest.All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. She is friendly and gentle. She will need time to adjust to new expectations. She has never been in a house. She has only lived in a kennel, instead of doing the hunting she would rather run in the woods and play, so she needs to be a pet. She is sweet but timid and would love to have a family to love and play with. We do transport with Rescue Riders Pet Transport. One of the most animal friendly transports on the road. We transport every weekend alternating between the Midwest and the Northeast to a destination near you. Please click the "Ask about me" button on her profile to get an application.

Story
Andi is a beautiful little tiger-striped ball of love! She's curious, great with other dogs, very calm, and most of all, wants to be right near her people. She has no problems going in her kennel quietly to hang out and hasn't had any accidents in the house. She's been excellent on walks, with no pulling or barking at other dogs, and sleeps quietly on a bed next to her foster parents. Andi is the biggest sweetheart and wants nothing more than to cuddle up right next to you for all the scratches and love she can soak up! She's friendly, affectionate, and cuddly; she has the best smile! She'd be excellent in a home with other dogs (as her foster parents have 2 residential dogs), but she'd also love to soak up the love as an only child. Andi is estimated to be 2 years old and 33 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Story
Hi my name is DIamond Lil and I am from Arkansas! From her foster: DiamondLil is a sweet, smart pup who’s really starting to blossom. She has playful puppy moments but also seems like an old soul. She’s observant and loves taking in all the sights and smells on our walks. She enjoys getting cozy and is happy to cuddle. While she can be timid when meeting new people, once she feels comfortable, she’ll greet you with the cutest wiggle butt! She’s been making great progress building her confidence. She walks well on a leash and doing well with potty training. She loves car rides and enjoys spending time in her crate, which is her safe space. She sleeps well in it at night and, after learning the routine, does great in the kennel during the workday. DiamondLil has plenty of energy and would thrive with an active family. She’s a bit nervous around other dogs, so slow introductions will be important.

Hi my name is Ace and I am from Arkansas! If you're looking for a four-legged friend to cuddle, Ace is your perfect fur baby. When you take a seat, he's eager to snuggle in, making sure that there's at least three points of contact at all times. He will have a snore of approval when he's all set and ready to nap away on your lap. Ace might adore you so much that he can be a little jealous in the presence of another dog, so he'd appreciate your patience as he practices those boundaries. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Gorgeous Girl Gator (~2y., 50lb) has spent over a year in shelter and foster care down in Alabama, and she is so ready to finally experience the love of her very own forever family! Don’t let her name fool you—she may have outgrown her puppy teefs, but she’s still 100% sweetness, charm, and joy. Gator is an outgoing, friendly social butterfly who lights up when she meets new people. She adores making friends—human and canine alike—and her tail seems to have only two modes: wagging fast and wagging faster. She’s the kind of pup who greets life with enthusiasm and warmth, making everyone around her smile. She loves running around the yard, exploring all the good sniffs, and settling in for long naps on her fluffy dog bed. Gator is doing great with her potty, leash, and crate training, and she’s eager to keep learning. While she enjoys other dogs, Gator especially appreciates hanging out with similar to lower-energy who match her vibe. She’d be happy living with or without another canine companion. She’s also been good with the kids she’s met—though as an enthusiastic youngster, she may accidentally knock over very small kiddos during playtime.
