Zara - 54 lbs, Plott hound-Terrier mix, 6-8 years, Housebroken Zara is a city gal from Queens. She was taken to a local shelter with another dog. This little gal would do well in a home with another dog - we are not sure about cats. She is well-behaved indoors, housebroken, up-to-date with her vaccinations and preventatives. Zara will be spayed prior to adoption. She also has some growths that will be removed. She is available for Foster to adopt or for adoption. We’re not totally sure of her mix (maybe Lab, maybe Plott Hound, maybe Catahoula?), but we are sure she’s stunning inside and out. Joelle’s brindle coat is gorgeous, and her personality is even better — friendly, gentle, and endlessly affectionate. She’s a social butterfly who assumes every person or dog she meets is her new best friend. Joelle is great with other dogs, wonderful with kids, and loves everyone she meets. She enjoys playing in the yard, soaking up the sunshine, and curling up for naps when it’s time to relax. While her leash manners are still a work in progress (thanks, winter weather!), she’s catching on quickly and eager to please. This girl is the perfect houseguest. Most of all, Joelle loves attention and isn’t shy about asking for a few extra cuddles. She would make the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal, easygoing, lovable dog to share life with. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Chet is a handsome boy who is looking for a new home. Chet is in a foster home in New Jersey. Chet was found as a stray and no one came to claim this handsome fella. He is a calm boy who is very friendly and easy to love. Chet walks nicely on the leash and has very good manners. He loves bones, belly rubs and playing chase and tug. He is very good with other dogs but he does need to be fed separately. Chet was cat tested and did well but in NJ, not so much so we no longer want to consider him for a home with cats. He loves to play with toys and is quite cuddly with adults. An adult only home will be best. Chet is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $450. This precious soul named MEME found herself on her last day at a rural TN shelter several months back. A foster stepped up to save her life and the time has come for Meme to find her own family. The foster mom was diagnosed with a terminal illness and cannot physically take care of Meme now. We are in a race against time to find Meme a loving new home. Meme is approximately 3.5 years old, fully vetted and spayed. She is full of life and love and adores people of all ages. She has been around children and other dogs and has done fine in any pack so far. Meme would make a wonderful companion and family dog.
