Story
Princess Donut is a very sweet and loving snuggle bug. She is 10 months old and was adopted from a local rescue that does not have the room to take her back in. She is good with kids and great with other dogs. The reason we need to rehome is due to her anxiety towards men. There has been no abuse in our house and we tried training, but she is fearful of men. She knows basic commands and is create trained. She walks pretty well on a leash and has done fantastic at dog parks. Donut does have food security issues, so you need to be aware of anything left out or she will eat it. She is a great alert dog, does bark, but not without a cause. We would love to keep her, but our house is mainly full of men and she is unhappy. Would prefer her to go to a home with a yard and another med/large dog. She will be an amazing dog for the right household.

Story
Meet Hewitt! Hewitt is a handsome, sweet-natured puppy with a wonderful balance of playful energy and calm companionship. He is confident, curious, and always eager to explore his surroundings, especially when toys are involved. Hewitt enjoys playing with other dogs and happily entertains himself, but he truly shines when spending one-on-one time with his people. While he loves his toys, Hewitt will gladly set them aside for affection, cuddles, and quality bonding time. He has that perfect puppy charm—fun-loving and energetic, yet content to relax and enjoy quieter moments with his person. Now a water hose will keep his attention for awhile :) He loves other dogs large and small too! Hewitt is doing incredibly well with potty training and is nearly fully trained, making his transition into a forever home even smoother. He is ready to give his whole heart to a loving family or individual who will continue to help him grow and thrive. If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate companion with a big heart and a bright future, Hewitt may be the perfect addition to your family. ******Please note, once you complete the initial screening, you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks, and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Dipsy, 1.5 years old, neutered male, black mouth cur and plot hound mix, 64lbs. Dipsy is in a foster home in Houston, Texas and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Dipsy is a tall, dark, handsome introvert with perfect natural eyeliner, soft soulful eyes, and fur so smooth you’ll want to pet him (please do—he loves a good brushing). He’s a mysterious-but-goofy boy who proudly digs through toy boxes like an archaeologist on a mission to select the perfect one and rolls in the grass like he’s checking into a luxury spa. Dipsy takes time to bond, but once he trusts you, he’ll wake you with gentle paw taps and his deep “Barry White” morning voice. He loves to play—sometimes a little too enthusiastically—so he appreciates help remembering to take cooldown breaks. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes, plays politely with cats when he’s bored, and does best with kids 10+ since he’s still working on toning down his excited “love pinches.” Dipsy is housebroken, crate trained, respectful around food and toys, fantastic in the car, but might steal a snack off the counter. He also loves sliding himself under your desk like a big furry foot warmer, “talks” when you come home like he’s giving you a full recap of his day, and once in a while stares dramatically into the distance as if he’s in an indie film. His ideal home has adults or older kids, ideally another dog friend, and people who enjoy walks, playtime, and letting an introvert unfold at his own pace. If you’re patient, loving, active, and appreciate a beautiful, quirky, soft-hearted boy Dipsy might be your perfect match. If you are interested in adding Dipsy into your family, please fill out the adoption application below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDAR/Dog ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Hello there, sorry for the wait ... My name is Doc and I'm here to see YOU actually! Let's see now, you say you're experiencing the lack of a fun loving companion dog in your life? You need to get out and go on walks more? And you say here that you have a huge backyard but no one to play in it with? These symptoms lead me to believe you're suffering from INAD syndrome ... also known as "I need a dog disease." and we have JUST the cure for you!!! I am a DOC :) Well, I think I can prescribe you something that'll help reduce these symptoms and get you back on track to healthy living.... here is what one of my admirers has to say about me ;) "Doc is a super playful dude and is soo happy to meet everyone he sees and just is an overall bouncing bundle of joy. He loves walks, pets and scratches, and loves to do sprints with you. When you're walking he will walk slightly ahead of you and is super excited to meet everyone. He'll try to pull but once he realizes you are not coming too fast he will do this cute little hop thing where he bounces between his front paws and his back paws, its adorable" That is quite an admirer, right??? If you'll just go ahead and sign here on my adoption papers, we can get started right now on your treatment!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
