Story
Hi, I'm Baby Dog, and though I am not officially a "baby"... I can still be your baby! I’m a 2 year old Plott Hound mix, around 70 lbs. I'm a super sweet boy who is looking for his forever home. I love all the peoples and the doggos. I am quite a big boy though so probably best I go to a home without the really small peoples because I don't want to be knocking little ones over. As with all hounds, my nose works really well and I am a smart boy, so I would love to be active and kept busy. Maybe even a nose work class, they sound like fun! Find out about me soon and let’s start the New Year off together! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Meet McKenna Gold. She has streaks of gold, chocolate and black in her coat that shine as bright as her heart of gold. Her loving personality is an inspiration to everyone who meets her. She is the sweetest girl with dreamy eyes that will capture your heart. She uses her cuteness to steal belly rubs from everyone she meets. She will be the perfect girl for a loving family looking for a pup to spoil rotten. McKenna is a really good listener and food motivated, making her easy to train! She responds to correction well and is a happy girl!  McKenna enjoys going for walks to the lake/beach for an afternoon picnic. Having family time is important to her. Her dream family would be one that plans activities for everyone to enjoy together, "family time." She is good with gentle, nurturing children. McKenna has been taught not to jump on humans and her charm is that she is gentle when meeting new people or other dogs. Everyone who meets her is pretty impressed with her manners. She LOVES car rides, so getting in the car and spending the day outdoors with friends or family would be a fun way to spend the weekend.  McKenna does have a high prey drive so she would need a home free from cats, chickens, bunnies and any other small animals that could possibly inhabit a home! McKenna is a loyal and devoted Plott Hound/Lab mix. Mckenna Gold does not have any special needs. She weighs about 48 lbs, and is about 3 years old. She is the perfect age, already past all the young dog chewing pains. During the evenings or on a lazy Sunday, she will snuggle up with you to watch a good movie.  She will need a home with a securely fenced backyard. If you're interested in a beautiful girl with a heart of gold, McKenna is hoping to wiggle her way into your heart and your home! Presenting the Amazing.....Huck Hank! Huckasaurus, Hunky Huck, whatever you want to call him, he doesn't mind! He is the kind of dog that always seems to be happy no matter what. Huck is FEARLESS! He isn't bothered by loud noises. He isn't bothered by the rain and will just stroll right outside and take care of business no matter what the weather is like! He would make a good camping, hiking or outdoorsy dog. His foster says he loves being outside! This boy is a one of a kind! Huck is a big boy and he doesn't want you to forget to feed him dinner. His foster says that he will pick up his food bowl and carry it around as a gentle reminder! Huck Hank likes to play with other dogs but could be happy as an only dog too. He loves kids! This boy loves car rides too! Crack the window so he can smell the breeze. Huck Hank does have an old injury that caused damage to one side of his face so he only has one eye. Don’t worry, that doesn’t slow him down one bit! Are you ready to bring Huck Hank home?! Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! "Learn from yesterday, live for today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon. My name is Charlie Brown and my old pal Snoopy told me that once a long time ago! SERIOUSLY! Charlie Brown, is REALLY my name and not because I wear the silly patterned shirt, but because that is my name! I harken back to a simpler time in the world. I am a gorgeous guy with a full head of hair and a twinkle in my eyes!! Could be just a naughty twinkle or could be a goofy twinkle- but it IS there!!! Also, I am a 4-year old, male, medium-sized (20-59lbs), Plott Hound/Shepherd mix looking for a family to call my own for this Holiday Season! I am crate trained and love taking naps or toys in my crate! I am devoted to your every word, every move, every mood. I will love you forever! But new people just make me nervous, I do get nippy/bitey with newbies, unless I know you! Silly, right? I have gotten lots and lots better, but you will need to understand and accept that I am not the kind of dog that you can run around the neighborhood meeting random strangers. I have a little stranger danger. I mean, we're all a little different right? Charlie Brown can only be adopted in Texas. Local adoption fee $200.00 (within Texas)

Let it go, let it gooooooo ...Can't hold it back anymore ... So, yes, I am named Elsa - after THAT Elsa, too. :) I was found in February in San Antonio when the temps were below freezing and pipes were bursting and things were just not going great for many in San Antonio... Luckily for me, a kind man and his family took me in so I didn't have to stay out in the cold any longer. I am a sensitive girl - yelling and loud voices scare me. But when I know and trust you, I will give you kisses and my whole heart! I am a smart, kind, young, and beautiful brindle girl. I just need a family who will give me the time to become comfortable in my new home and show you the loving dog I was always meant to be.

I'm gonna make you an wo-offer you can't refuse. That's what Pacino told his foster parents when he was found and brought to San Antonio, TX for a better life! For his well-behaved demeanor, cute puppy face, playfulness, and getting along with other dogs he'd be given a roof, a nice cold dish of water, meals and treats everyday, plus tons of love. It was a good deal! Pacino comes from a long line of Dog-Father's, tough dogs out in the world who's business is their own. But, they are loyal, loving and strong characters to have around you. Pacino is potty and crate trainee; and a sociable happy dog! He does like to chew on things and should be kept away from shoes, tables and what not. Pacino would pair better with older kids. Some basic information about Pacino; he is 1-year(s) old, male, a Plott Hound mix, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Hiya, I'm Freeway! As you can guess my rescuers found me on the side of the freeway trying my best to live a good life! Now I'm in a much better place and looking for a family to join! I am a 1-year old, female, large-sized (60-99lbs) Plott Hound mix! Being as I lived most of my life near the freeway I've seen lots of different things! And I love them all! Although they go a little fast for my liking, I enjoy taking things slow! If you have other dogs, cats, or children I'd love to meet them and be friends at a slow pace! I've got all the fixings of a great dog: I'm cute, crate trained, potty trained, and long long walks where we can run and see the world! I can't wait to experience all these things with you! Story
Beautiful Bessy! This 1 year old, 49 lb catahoula leopard mix is stunning with her beautiful merle coat and spirited disposition! Bessy is very active, super energetic and very playful. She can jump very high and is a good climber. She will need a lot of space and regular exercise. Her ideal family would be one that enjoys long hikes or going on long walks or runs. She will also need a yard to run and play in since she is considered high energy! She walks beautifully on a leash and needs little to no correction and barely pulls. She would be the perfect companion for someone athletic and outdoorsy! She gets along well with most dogs but does not mix well with dominant males. She would do well as an only dog or placed in a home with a friendly, energetic, submissive female or male. She is very independent and super competitive as she likes to play fetch and loves stuffed animals and chew toys. She can be possessive over her things and needs help learning to share. Bessy is extremely food motivated so training should be easy with this girl. She is potty trained but not crate trained She is very protective and extremely loyal. She is mostly a quiet dog but will bark at other dogs when outside guarding her territory. Even though this girl has lots of energy and can be intense, she is also very affectionate and sweet! She loves to be near her favorite person at all times and will follow you around wherever you go. She is people friendly and would do best in a home with children 5 and older as she likes to jump due to excitement and her energy level. Her new family/owner will need to have patience and willing to work with her on this behavior. One of her favorite things to do is go to the dog park. Bessy has a high prey drive and would do best in a house with NO CATS. She will try and chase squirrels and small critters on her walks is she spots them! Her foster mom reports that she doesn’t shed and has a very low maintenance coat? Are you ready for a girl like Miss Bessy to come into your home? Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This sweet pup was found in Pescadero BCS, Mexico in early 2021 wandering the beach. Luckily a tourist found her and brought her to a local vet that reached out to us to help her because Honey had tested positive for heartworm. After treating her and housing her for almost 2 years with a dedicated foster Honey is healthy and heartworm free! She is about 3 years old and should weigh about 45lbs, she is currently a little over weight due to so much rest time during treatment. Honey prefers male dogs but is tolerant of non dominant female dogs. She loves to play with her husky brother and chew on squeaky toys. Honey is house and crate trained and ready to learn some more skills with her new family. Honey can be shy in public but does walk on leash well. Her foster says even though Honey is almost as big as her she still loves to jump in her lap and get pets or be comforted when she is scared at the vets office. Honey cannot wait to join your home and family. She is kid approved and would love to curl up in bed with you every night keeping your feet warm. Honey is currently ready to go to the PNW if we can find her a foster or ideally her perfect forever home. She is currently located at our shelter in La Paz, Mexico but can be moved to the PNW within 10 - 15 days once adopted. Honey’s adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $450USD.This helps us cover most of her vet and care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups over 1,500 miles to the PNW. All our dogs come spay or neutered, with all theirs shots for the year, and have had multiple blood tests done prior to entering the USA from Mexico.
