Story
Looking for a co-pilot who is as chill as a Sunday morning but ready for a brewery patio at a moment’s notice? Meet Baby Bear, the leash walking legend and professional social butterfly who is ready to steal your heart! Bear is the definition of a best of both worlds kind of guy. He’s got that magic touch where he’s incredibly tuned in to his person, kind of like a total shadow who checks in constantly. Although he’s just as happy to kick back and watch the world go by, perfectly content soaking it all in without needing to steal the spotlight. Baby Bear is a total heart melter! He’s the kind of dog who is happy to work for a treat, but even happier to just be wherever you are! Ready to fall in love? Watch Baby Bear’s video, you won’t want to miss those goofy ears in action! https://youtu.be/Ho0FjTK_I9Y We think this silly guy is a Plott Hound mix, making him that perfect medium sized package! At 41lbs, he is sturdy enough for walks but small enough to fit comfortably in the backseat for a coffee run. With those soulful eyes, one striking blue and one warm brown! Baby Bear is a total head turner. His gorgeous brindle coat only adds to his good looks, giving him that extra touch of “who is that handsome guy?” energy. Of course, being a rescue means his breed mix is a bit of a mystery. Baby Bear is currently living his best life in a foster home, where he’s proven to be a total household pro. He is crate and potty trained! Car rides are seriously his favorite, if you’re headed to Home Depot or grabbing a latte, Bear is already waiting by the door with his “take me with you” eyes! He’s also a perfect work from home companion, happily keeping you company while you tackle your day. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and snuggly sidekick, Baby Bear is ready to steal your heart (and maybe your spot on the couch)! When it comes to other dogs, Bear is a total rockstar! He is just a big, playful puppy at heart who loves a good game of chase. He’s incredibly respectful of other dogs' boundaries, takes corrections like a champ, and knows exactly when to take a "paws" and chill out on his own. He would thrive in a home with another medium-energy dog who can match his playful spirit but also enjoys a good afternoon nap. However, he is equally happy to be your "one and only." While he loves his canine buddies, Bear is more than content to soak up all the spotlight and be the sole recipient of your love and attention. Whether he’s part of a pack or the king of the castle, Bear is ready to move in! Is Baby Bear a fan of the felines? Absolutely, he’s proven he can hang with his feline friends like a true gentleman. No funny business here, just polite sniffs, respectful vibes, and maybe a shared nap or two. Baby Bear’s ready to be everyone’s bestie, whiskers included! Baby Bear is a versatile fellow! He’s so well behaved on a leash and has great impulse control, he could potentially rock the apartment life as long as he gets his small adventures every now and then. However, he’d also love a yard to zoom around in. To top it off, he is a world class cuddler who will gladly share the couch for a movie marathon. Plus, if you're a fan of road trips, you're in luck he is fantastic in the car and ready for any journey you have in mind! Baby Bear is a goofy, cuddly, and incredibly polished little gentleman who is just waiting for a family to call his own. He’s got the brains of a working dog and the soul of a full time, professional lap warmer (yes, it’s a very serious job and he takes it very seriously). Looking for a professional lounge partner who treats relaxation like a full time job? Meet our soulful brindle beauty Inna, the puppy who skipped the crazy phase and went straight to cozy! If you’ve been searching for a dog who understands the assignment of chilling out, you’ve found your match. While other puppies are doing zoomies, Inna is perfecting the art of the gentle tail wag and the deep, loving gaze. She is a total velcro dog who just wants to be wherever you are whether that’s folding laundry, a car ride, a hike, or binge watching your favorite show. She’s the ultimate hang out buddy with a heart of mush and a personality that is pure sunshine! Words don't do her justice you need to see those floppy ears in motion. https://youtu.be/bAF-rgFzlqo We think Inna’s a beautiful Plott Hound mix, decked out in the most stunning brindle coat you've ever seen! She’s currently an "aging puppy" meaning she has that cute puppy face but a soul that's already mellowed out. We estimate she'll be a medium to large girl, but as with all rescues, her exact DNA is a fun mystery for you to solve! Inna is currently living with her foster dad, she’s formed a beautifully sweet, connected, and loving bond. She has a slightly aloof charm at first, but once she settles in, she blossoms into a cuddly, devoted companion who enjoys quiet affection and simply being near her person. She also shares her space with two large dogs, and she fits right in! She’s incredibly respectful, happily follows their lead, and adores snuggling up beside them. Her gentle play style makes her an easy addition to a multi-dog home. Her personality is a dream—calm, easygoing, and socially confident with other dogs. She absolutely loves going on walks and has excellent leash manners, making every outing a peaceful, enjoyable experience. She’s already a total pro when it comes to home life: •Crate trained and super quiet •Fully potty trained with zero accidents (in the home or crate!) When it’s playtime, she can’t resist fluffy toys, happily carrying them around or settling in for a soft-chew session. But what truly makes her shine? She’s your ultimate adventure partner. Whether it’s hopping in the car for a ride or heading out on a scenic trail, she’s always ready. She’d make an amazing walking or hiking buddy, matching your pace with calm enthusiasm and loyalty. Whether you have a big backyard or a cozy apartment, she’s ready to move in. As long as there’s a comfy spot for her to sprawl out and be near her humans, she’s happy. Her favorite hobby? Looking up at you with those big, soulful eyes until you give in to one more head scratch. Ready to make this brindle beauty yours forever? ******Please note, once you complete the initial screening, you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks, and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Dipsy, 1.5 years old, neutered male, black mouth cur and plot hound mix, 64lbs. Dipsy is in a foster home in Houston, Texas and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Dipsy is a tall, dark, handsome introvert with perfect natural eyeliner, soft soulful eyes, and fur so smooth you’ll want to pet him (please do—he loves a good brushing). He’s a mysterious-but-goofy boy who proudly digs through toy boxes like an archaeologist on a mission to select the perfect one and rolls in the grass like he’s checking into a luxury spa. Dipsy takes time to bond, but once he trusts you, he’ll wake you with gentle paw taps and his deep “Barry White” morning voice. He loves to play—sometimes a little too enthusiastically—so he appreciates help remembering to take cooldown breaks. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes, plays politely with cats when he’s bored, and does best with kids 10+ since he’s still working on toning down his excited “love pinches.” Dipsy is housebroken, crate trained, respectful around food and toys, fantastic in the car, but might steal a snack off the counter. He also loves sliding himself under your desk like a big furry foot warmer, “talks” when you come home like he’s giving you a full recap of his day, and once in a while stares dramatically into the distance as if he’s in an indie film. His ideal home has adults or older kids, ideally another dog friend, and people who enjoy walks, playtime, and letting an introvert unfold at his own pace. If you’re patient, loving, active, and appreciate a beautiful, quirky, soft-hearted boy Dipsy might be your perfect match. If you are interested in adding Dipsy into your family, please fill out the adoption application below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDAR/Dog ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***
