Story
Meet Grundy! He is a 5 year old plott hound. Grundy is special needs, he is blind, but does find his way around really well once he’s familiar with his space, and he has seizures. He is on medication for the seizures, and has done really well on them, however this is something he’ll need for the rest of his life. He’s a very sweet, snuggly boy, he’s also very goofy and energetic. He is crate trained and house trained. Due to his size and him not being able to see, our other dogs and cats do not get along with him. This isn’t fair to them or him, as he’s kept separate in the home from us and them. He is good with older kids who understand dogs(10+ years old). We’d love to find him a perfect fit. He would do best in a home where he has another dog who is tolerant and okay with being bumped into similar in size(60lbs).

Buddy is 2 years old, plott hound mix, male, neutered, UTD and microchipped.  He has a great personality, loves being outside.  Buddy has lots of energy.  No small children as he can easily knock them over when exicted.  Buddy does not like car rides.  Meet and greet would take place in Easton at owner's home where  you could see Buddy's personality.  kennel license #18956 ##2742317##

Story
Flick is a great puppy, he has a great temperament and pretty easy going. He is a playful pup, he loves toys, playing with other pups and dogs and is great with children. Flick is a little over 6 months and weighs around 30 lbs, so he should be a bigger medium sized dog as an adult. Flick stays in a busy foster home with other puppies, adult dogs and children, and he has done well. He will chase a cat, so his new home should be cat free. If you are looking for an active, medium sized buddy, Flick is sure to be a great addition to most homes. He would do best in a home with a yard for him to explore, he is still learning leash training, but he's a smart cookie and should pick it up with a little help. Flick has been neutered, vaccinated and is on monthly flea/heartworm prevention.

Story
Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617Could he do well with kids? Yes, with children 16 years and older.Could he do well with other dogs? Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis.Has this dog lived with cats? Unknown. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---What volunteers have to say about this animal:Meet Peter – Our Sweet, Shy ExplorerPeter is a Plott hound mix with a curious nose, a gentle spirit, and a lot of puppy energy still to grow through. He may be shy at first, but give him a little time and he’ll show you the playful, affectionate pup hiding behind those soulful eyes.Who is Peter? Peter is an active, independent little guy who loves exploring the world around him. On walks, he can pull with excitement, but he relaxes once he gets into the rhythm. Indoors, he’s more focused—though still learning how to redirect his curiosity. With people, he can be a little hesitant at first, sometimes barking when meeting new faces, but he warms up quickly and enjoys gentle affection once he feels safe. Some of his favorite things include:- Exploring every new scent outdoors- Independent playtime with toys- Tasty treats—he’s very food motivated- Showing off his “sit” and “come” (especially when food is involved!)Because Peter is young and still learning, he sometimes has a hard time giving up toys or his food dish. But he responds well to a “trade” and has already shown he’s eager to learn with the right encouragement.Peter Would Do Best In a Home That Offers:- Kids around 16+ who understand a shy pup’s boundaries- A doggy friend could be a match (introductions on a case-by-case basis)- Patience, training, and positive reinforcement to help him gain confidence- Regular walks, playtime, and consistency to burn energy and build trustPeter may be a little unsure of new things, but he’s resilient, loving, and ready to bond with someone who believes in him. With guidance, this shy boy will grow into the loyal companion he’s meant to be.---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Peter is an energetic young dog full of curiosity. He loved exploring the shelter grounds, but it`s challenging to redirect his focus. He pulled on the leash initially, relaxing as we walked. Inside, he improved, though he still struggled with redi
