Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Hello, my name is Hugo, and I'm a bit shy around new people, especially in the kennel here at the shelter. But don't let that fool you! With just a bit of patience and understanding, I'll show you that I'm a social boy who loves attention and learning new things.I just want to please my humans, but I do get a bit nervous around too many new people, so a quiet, low-traffic home would be ideal for me. I'm sure I'll warm up to you in no time, and once I do, I'll shower you with love and affection.I think it would be best for me to have another friendly dog in the home to show me the ropes and help me build my confidence. I'm a quick learner and love to play, so having a furry friend to romp around with would be fantastic!I may not show well in the kennel, but I promise that with a little patience, I'll show you what a great companion I can be. Hi, I’m Socks! With soft white paws that look like little socks, I’ve journeyed from a crowded shelter to hoping for a place in your heart. I’m a 2-year-old Plott Hound/Terrier mix with a brindle coat and eyes full of kindness and curiosity. My early days were tough, but I’ve learned resilience and the value of a loving home. Although I start off shy, a few gentle pets bring me out of my shell quickly. I love playing with other dogs, especially the larger ones, but what I dream of most is a special person to call my own. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, I have excellent manners—no shoe-chewing here! I also have a keen interest in wildlife, which might make me a great companion for outdoor adventures in a secure environment. I’m looking for a stable, loving home where I can thrive and share all the love I have to give.
