Sadie is a smart, usually reserved but affectionate 3 1/2 year old girl who comes from a single pet and parent home. We took her in as a foster from a young woman who had to move and couldn’t take her. She meets you at the door and can sit, stay, shake with both paws, fetch and ketch her “Kong” like a MLB outfielder and has stayed home alone without destroying things. She does bark in the yard and if someone is at the door. She needs a little space and time but warms to strangers, women faster than men. I’ve had her at the dog park and she is stand-off-Ish at first but warms up after a little while. She is UTD on shots and just got Simparica TRIO for fleas,tics and worms. Unfortunately she doesn’t get along with my dog and being 25lbs bigger, has injured her in several fights for dominance of the house and has a few cuts of her own. Its sad because if we had gotten her first, I would have happily kept her as our only family dog. She’s going to be someone’s special friend.

My name is Lil Man aka Deuce. Deuce for two since I'm getting a second chance at life after being in the shelter. My foster Dad says I'm living life to the fullest and trying really hard at forgetting my first life. I'm still shy around some people but my foster has been teaching me to be less fearful of strangers. People always say how beautiful my brindle coat is. I'm very smart and will sit and speak for my treats, I am learning to play ball and will jump in the air to get it! I'm still working on the bring it back all the time, every time. But I'm working on it! I get along well with other dogs and I'm a great watch dog. I like to make sure my people are safe and taken care of. I love being outside in the sun and playing with my dog foster siblings. I have a zest for life and like to go for walks and runs and to play in the river. I'm potty trained and stay out during the day in the sunshine. At night I like to sleep inside with my pals. Whoever adopts me will have to be a little patient and continue working with me on my shyness at times. New things are scary and I need you to show me it's going to be ok. My perfect home would have a nice fenced yard, and maybe a doggy door so I can go in and out on my own. I'll probably do better with another dog in the household, I really like friends. I would love someone to play fetch with me or take me to the river and swim.

This is Odie. A quirky, beautiful brindle boy who is ready to find his forever home. Odie loves to get all of the attention and be where the action is. He smiles all the time - especially when his belly is being rubbed or he is playing outside. Odie is a quirky dude and we think that is the best thing about him! It is best that Odie be the only pet in the household. His favorite things are long walks, playing tug, all types of treats, and attention (see a theme?!). He has been with a foster and has done phenomenally. He is fully housebroken and crate trained. He has lots of love to give and is the definition of a snuggle bug/lap dog. I adopted Oscar from a shelter about 5 years ago. He is a sweet old man (10 years old this summer if the shelter is to be believed) who loves pets and all the attention he can get. He is a mixed breed, we think maybe some Catahoula? Not 100% sure. He's never had any problems with dogs, cats, or people. Sadly, due to changes with work and a new baby, we don't have the time to give him the attention he deserves and are looking to find him a new home. He is crate trained, we will include his bowl, crate with pad, leash, and bed.
