Meet Blade — the sweetest Plot Hound you will ever meet, and one of the newest faces in our Paws in Prison family! With his stunning brindle coat, bright eyes, and that melt-your-heart smile, Blade is the kind of dog who walks into a room and instantly lights it up. He’s gentle, affectionate, and always eager to lean in close for love. Even in these early days of the program, he’s already showing everyone just how big his heart truly is. Blade has just begun his journey with our dedicated inmate trainers, where he’ll learn obedience, manners, confidence, and all the skills he needs to become the perfect companion. He’s playful, people-oriented, and absolutely adores toys — but above all, he loves being with someone who believes in him. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a soft soul and a bright future, Blade is your boy. Story
Raisin is a sleek, high-spirited hound mix with beautiful brindle peeking through her glossy black coat. She loves to play with her canine pals, and she’s just as happy stretching out in the grass for a good belly scratch. In foster care, Raisin is really coming into her own. She’s been doing great with a German Shepherd and enjoys respectful play. She reads other dogs well and would love a canine buddy to romp with. Raisin is wonderful on walks and would make an excellent adventure companion—hiking trails, neighborhood strolls, even lake days. She absolutely loves the water and lights up at the chance to splash. At home, she bonds sweetly with her people and thrives when she feels included. She’s food- and treat-motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training. She would do best in a home without cats. Raisin will benefit from a confident, patient owner who can provide structure and reassurance. She’s ready to become a loyal, loving best friend with so much fun and devotion to give. To meet Raisin, head over to wimberleywagrescue.org and fill out an application to set up a no-obligation "meet and greet." It might be the start of something wonderful!

Story
There's nothing harder than making the decision to rehome your fur baby, but I want what's best for him. We're traveling too much, and it's not fair to keep him in kennels and boarders. He's a plott hound mix, just turned 2 recently. He's also fixed and UTD on all his shots. He's the definition of a big, friendly giant. All he ever wants to do is run around and play. He'll follow you everywhere and loves to play outside ( he just won't bring the ball back) he can be a scardy cat sometimes, but he's got the gentlest heart you'll ever see. Feel free to message, or comment any questions you have

Story
Cookie Cuddles is the sweetest soul you may ever meet - truly. At 3 years old, Cookie lives like a retired lady who has mastered the art of peace. Her favorite hobbies include: ☀️ Sunbathing 🛋️ Couch lounging 🛏️ Bed snuggling 💤 Professional-level napping She's wonderfully low energy, not interested in long adventures of busy chaos. She prefers to do her business and then promptly return to her rightful place...the couch. There are no antics here. No mischief. No zoomies. Just soft eyes, gentle presence, and a quiet desire to feel safe. Cookie gets along beautifully with well-matched dog friends, social in a calm, respectful way, happy to coexist without drama. What Cookie Cuddles wants is simple: A lap, a soft place to rest, and a home where love is quiet and predictable. When she trusts you, she melts into you - the kind of cuddler that will bring peace just by being there. Her best match will be a calm, low energy home with someone patient and steady - someone who understands that some dogs just need consistency and kindness. Cookie isn't here to entertain, she's here to be cherished, and to love you back in the softest, sweetest way.

Story
Elm is a handsome, medium-sized pup with the solid charm of a sturdy tree and a heart that just wants to connect. He’s friendly, playful, and full of that classic Pittie enthusiasm, making him a joy to hang out with. Around other dogs, Elm can be social and curious, though he sometimes needs a little help remembering his manners when the excitement picks up. With a bit of structure and someone who can help keep him grounded, Elm really shines and shows what a sweet, loving boy he is. If you’re ready for a companion who’s equal parts fun, affectionate, and eager to grow, this lovable pup is ready to leaf his old life behind and start fresh with you.

Story
Meet Bronco! Bronco is an amazing pup, estimated to be between 1–2 years old, and he’s still very much in that playful puppy phase. Curious about everything, he loves exploring the world around him and discovering new sights, smells, and adventures. Bronco gets along wonderfully with other dogs and currently has three foster siblings he enjoys playing and lounging with throughout the day. He is also potty trained, and he is currently working on becoming fully kennel trained. This sweet boy is quite the talker—Bronco loves to express himself with silly grumbles, playful barks, and funny little sounds, especially when he’s excited or vying for attention. He has a big personality and an even bigger heart. While he can be a bit skittish at first and sometimes thinks he’s in trouble when you approach, he is quickly learning that people can be kind and gentle. Each day, he grows more confident, more trusting, and more affectionate. In the evenings, Bronco enjoys curling up on a cozy dog bed, and he’ll occasionally trot over to give you a soft “boop” as his sweet way of asking for pets. He also has great protective instincts—if he hears a strange noise outside, he’ll be the first to investigate and alert his people. Bronco is well on his way to becoming a loyal, loving, and devoted companion. With continued patience, reassurance, and love, he will blossom into the incredible dog he is meant to be. He’s ready to find a forever family to adore and protect. Bronco is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX but can be transported to the PNW and NE United States after adoption. Story
Meet Merle!Merle is a 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with a truly stunning merle coat—and a story that tugs at the heart. Sadly, Merle is both deaf and visually impaired, which makes navigating the world confusing and sometimes overwhelming. Without patient guidance, he may bump into things, but what he lacks in senses, he makes up for in spirit.Merle is still an active, fun-loving boy who enjoys training (especially when treats are involved!) and is eager to learn with someone who understands his unique needs. He’ll need help polishing his manners and building confidence, but he does try—and that effort is part of his charm.Because of his disabilities, Merle struggles with other dogs and will need to be the only pet in the home. What he truly needs is a compassionate human willing to be his guide, his safety net, and his biggest cheerleader.Merle’s world may be a little darker and quieter—but with the right person, it can still be full of love.

Story
Meet Toffee (brindle) and Heath (white), a bonded pair of one-and-a-half-year-old Catahoula mix brothers with an unshakable connection. These two grew up side by side and have been inseparable ever since. Toffee is hearing-impaired and looks to Heath as his guide and emotional support, while Heath takes that role to heart, always looking out for his brother. Both boys are friendly and affectionate, though they can be a bit timid in new situations. Once they warm up, their personalities shine—Heath is the energetic social butterfly, always ready for playtime or a walk, and Toffee brings a gentle, calming presence with his sweet, soulful eyes. They love running and playing together, whether it’s chasing each other around the yard or stretching out in the grass for a good nap. Their bond makes them the perfect team—Heath gives Toffee confidence, and Toffee keeps Heath grounded. They’re looking for a home that will embrace their unique connection and give them both the love, patience, and space to thrive. With Toffee and Heath, you’re not just adopting dogs—you’re gaining a loyal duo that will fill your life with double the love and twice the tail wags.
