Story
Meet Jack! This guy has a fun and energized personality that's sure to bring some new life into his new home! He's the perfect mix of energetic and lazy. Jack loves to go for long walks or adventures with his people, happy to whatever as long as he's with his people. He has done well with other dogs similar sized to him, but he can be a bit more energetic for older dogs who aren't as interested in playing. He does resource guard high value items (such as treats, food or anything seen as high value), so some extra perceptions around other dogs or young children is needed. Because of his guarding tendencies, he would do best in a home with older children who display a level of understanding around dogs. He is reported to be both crate trained and housebroken, making his transition into his new home just that much easier! If you're interested in meeting Jack, stop by the shelter today!

Story
Remington is a curious little cuddle bug looking for his forever home! He loves exploring the outdoors, whether it’s going on long walks or simply sniffing around and discovering new smells. This sweet boy has plenty of energy and enjoys staying active, but his absolute favorite part of the day is winding down with his humans for some cozy couch time. You’ll often find him snuggled up watching episodes of Bluey right alongside you! Remington is incredibly loving, cuddly, and happiest when he’s close to his people. He would do best in a home with older kids who can understand and respect his personal space, especially when enjoying his favorite spots. If you’re looking for a sweet, adventurous companion who’s always ready for a walk and a cuddle, Remington might just be your perfect match!

Story
Otis is a sweet, loyal boy who is looking for a new forever home through no fault of his own. He was adopted last year and deeply loved, but sadly returned to us after his owner passed away. Otis thrives when he has space to stretch his legs and enjoy the outdoors. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard or with adopters who can give him plenty of outside time and daily activity. He bonds strongly with his people and is happiest when he can be part of their routine. Because Otis has a prey drive, he is not a good fit for a home with small dogs or cats. With the right environment and guidance, he does wonderfully and has so much love to give. Otis is ready to start a new chapter with someone who can offer stability, patience, and room to roam. If you’re looking for a devoted companion and have the space to meet his needs, Otis may be your perfect match.

Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. If loving people were an Olympic sport, Boone the six-month-old Redbone Coonhound mix would take home the gold every single time! This 40-pound bundle of red-coated enthusiasm is friendly, playful, and so genuinely thrilled to be near his people that he has been known to get so excited during a good petting session that he ends up underfoot on the leash walk. He means well, he just really loves you. Boone knows sit, is quiet and calm in his crate, crate trained when on a schedule and is currently working on his housetraining. He is a smart boy and with consistency he will get there. Squeaky toys are basically Boone's love language, and he is happiest when he has a good squeak toy in his mouth, a dog friend to play with, and a human nearby ready to deliver belly rubs on demand. He is good with other dogs and friendly with strangers, and would do best in a home without cats. Boone would thrive in an active home with a fenced yard where he can burn off that glorious puppy energy and then come inside for the snuggles he so deeply deserves. He is young, enthusiastic, healthy, and has an absolutely enormous amount of love to give. If you are ready for a joyful, affectionate, and squeaky-toy-obsessed hound boy to join your family, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today!
