Story
Oliver is a 7 year old Great Dane/ Pointer mix that weighs about 70 lbs! Oliver is good with dogs and kids of all ages but is not a friend of cats! He is working hard on perfecting his sit, stay, kennel and no jumping commands as well as crate training and housebreaking! Oliver came to the rescue as a small puppy as one of a litter of 11 that was left in a box next to a mail box at only about 10 days old! While almost all of his other siblings found homes immediately Oliver was looked over. He is a big boy with lots of energy and is still waiting for his forever home! He has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, heart worm negative, and been dewormed!! His adoption fee is $200.April 27, 2024, 12:09 am

Story
Owen is 7 year old Great Dane/ Pointer mix! He weighs about 65 lb and while he is big he is just a goof ball! He is well trained and knows sit, stay, kennel, and no jumping commands as well as being crate trained, leash trained and is HOUSEBROKEN!!! Owen is great with other dogs and kids of all ages! He is not good with cats and other small prey animals. He loves playing fetch and is great with his recall.  Owen came to the rescue after being abandoned in a box, beside a mailbox, at just 10 days old with 10 other siblings! Almost all of the puppies found homes quickly, but for some reason, this awesome boy has been passed over many times. He has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and been dewormed!! His adoption fee is $200.April 27, 2024, 12:09 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . Kermit is a sweet loving guy that just wants to please his humans. He is good with the other dogs at the rescue. Sadly Kermit was adopted by an older couple and couldn't give him the kind of attention and exercise that a dog his age needs so he was returned to the rescue. It wasn't his fault, he just wanted someone that can play, run, hike and just have fun with. Kermit has been left in the house at night un-crated and does very well. He waits until morning to be let out to do his business. Kermit also loves car rides and rides quietly watching out the window. He would be a great companion for any active person or family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   April 20, 2024, 8:02 pm

Story
Meet Sage Girl, a 10-month-old mix of Pointer and Heeler! Sage is a bundle of joy whose playful spirit is sure to brighten your day. She is now 45 pounds but still has some filling in to do. Sage was found roaming the streets but luckily a Good Samaritan took her to safety. Her goofiness is infectious, leaving everyone she meets laughing at her funny antics. She's sweet too, always ready to give love and receive it in return. She wears a short brownish-black and white coat. Sage's youthful energy and playful nature make her the perfect companion for those who love an active lifestyle. Her sweet disposition makes her a great fit for families with other dogs. Adopt Sage and bring home not just a pet, but a loyal friend and a source of endless joy! Story
Meet our “Stranger Things” litter! We have four boys; Harrington, Hopper, Wheeler and Sinclair. Then we have three girls; Robin, Chrissy and Eleven. These sweet 15 week old mixes of Pointer and Schnauzer weigh between 11-17 pounds and should mature to around 45 pounds. They each wear short coats and a few have scruff on their face!  Harrington is white and black while the other pups are black with a tiny bit of white and a chocolate tint to their back. They love playing with people, other dogs and even do well with the cats! These pups are the definition of happy and loving!
