Jerry is a very friendly and laid back senior English Pointer dog looking for his forever home. Although he is 11 years old, he is in great health and loves the quiet and calm life. He enjoys laying on the couch all day waiting for his time to go out or eat. He is very quiet and keeps to himself most of the time, but he likes to be petted and to receive affection. Due to his age, Jerry is missing a few teeth, so his tongue hangs out at times and prefers his kibble to be soften a bit. Overall he's a great dog and a wonderful companion for any family.

Amaya is a sweet, attentive girl who came to us from the Stanislaus County Shelter where she had run out of time. She's friendly and affectionate once she knows you, taking a minute or two (and some treats) to warm up to strangers. But when she does, she's great at giving hugs and kisses both on your hands and face if you'll let her. She knows a couple of basic commands but would love a home where she can learn more! She can be a little mouthy, but it's always very gentle and comes from a place of play, so a home that can work on this behavior with her would be perfect. She also LOVES squeaky chew toys, so she'd love some toys to call her own! Amaya needs some patience as she gets used to living in a home, learning what's expected of her. But she's already made great progress in training at Milo, and now happily sits on a bench and watches the world go by. With a little work on socialization (she prefers slow intros to other dogs), acclimatizing her to the human world, and plenty of mental and physical stimulation and she'll be a loving and energetic family member!

LOCATION: SANCTUARY IN WILLITS, CA Taz is a whirling dervish of happiness! He has a very smooth coat, floppy ears, long, skinny tail, long legs. Energy and enthusiasm to spare! Fun dog for active people, he loves to go swimming or just be around water. A running companion, training, consistency and lots of exercise this boy will make a great addition to the right home. Tall fences are a good idea as well. He loves to play a game of fetch that includes swimming. We took Taz to The Cat House, where cats lounge and hide out. He was very interested in the smells, and a little curious about the few cats he saw. He was not eagerly pulling on the leash, or extremely intent on the cats. We believe he would do well in a house with cats as long as they had a well-monitored introduction period. Hello friends, I'm Nova! I'm a 8-month-old, neutered male, German Shorthair Pointer/German Shepherd mix and I currently weigh 58 lbs. I am expected to grow to be about 75-90lbs when I'm an adult. I'm a sweet young fellow with a ton of energy who loves getting attention and affection when I'm not playing fetch with my favorite toys! Because I'm a working-type dog with a super amazing nose; I keep my nose to the ground, sniffing my next adventure. I would like to go home with a family who is experienced with my breed. I'd be perfect for a family with dog savvy kids 10+. If you have any resident dogs, I'd love to meet the whole family before I move in. I'm ready for lots of adventures, training, and most of all, love! Nova ID#A0988989 I recently spent time with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did: What a happy sweet boy. He is pretty good with commands. We played fetch today by alternating tennis balls. That gets him tired quickly. Nova knew how to drop it each time. He can jump real high and is a strong puller but he loves spending time with his people. Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.
