Story
#A5688875 Meet Spot , a 2-year-oldShepherd / Pointer mix with a stunning tricolor coat - rich chocolate brindle accented by white patches speckled with soft cocoa-colored freckles. His warm, whiskey-brown eyes are as soulful as they come and are sure to steal your heart! Though he’s a bit anxious in the shelter, Spot warms up quickly when he feels safe and loved, revealing his curious, affectionate nature. He’s an alert and independent young fellow, but still loves staying close to his people and soaking up all the quality time. This smart boy knows basic commands like sit, walks well on leash (even if he gets a bit excited at times!), is potty trained, and enjoys the company of other big dogs - especially playful females around his size. Spot is ready to find a forever home where he can feel secure, stay active, and be your loyal adventure buddy - will that home be with you?   2 year old brown brindle and white Shepherd/Pointer mix 57 pound male - Spot is not yet neutered because he is still being treated for a mild doggy cold, but the shelter can likely help with getting the neuter done before/after adoption Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, due to his doggy cold, Spot will need to be adopter on a health waiver - adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 3/29/25 as a stray super awesome and unique tricolor coat - mostly a rich chocolate brindle, studded with white patches speckled with cocoa colored freckles warm, soulful whiskey brown eyes that will steal your heart a bit anxious at the shelter, but warms up really quickly when feeling safe and secure alert, curious, and independent, but also looks to his people for a familiar base - loves to stay close and spend quality time together very smart cookie that knows basic commands like sit, possibly more good on leash, if a little enthusiastic at times, potty trained, and good with other pups! But would do best with other large dogs, but especially playful female doggos   SPOT’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/WsglvsUvX48   For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter.
