Story
Beatrix was surrendered by her family to a shelter in Louisiana, but her sweet and loving personality shines through. She is incredibly smart, affectionate, and eager to form strong bonds with her people. Beatrix’s intelligence and gentle nature make her a quick learner, and she would surely be a fantastic addition to any family ready to welcome her into their home. Beatrix’s rescue was made possible with support from the Irving and Phyllis Millstein Foundation.

Story
Lottie is a smart, good-natured dog. She is always happy to meet new people, go on walks and car rides; she even loves the vet! Lottie spends much of her day relaxing in the sun or other favorite spots. She is a quiet dog but will bark when delivery folks come to the door or the landscapers are working (particularly the leaf blower). She is good with bigger kids, but her size and goofy enthusiasm may be an issue with smaller kids/toddlers. Lottie doesnt like loud noises and gets a bit anxious during Fourth of July or strong thunderstorms. She likes to go to her safe space (bathroom) and wait it out. Shes a great dog!

Story
Otis is a beautiful, sweet, healthy 6-year old German Shorthaired Pointer. He is a purebread and has papers from the American Kennel Association. We have owned Otis since he was 5 months old. Otis is affectionate, loves kids, and is a great watchdog with a fantastic howl. He loves to be walked and to run in wide open spaces. GSPs are hunting dogs and Otis loves to chase down rabbits, chipmonks and the like. While Otis is a wonderful dog, he has some behavioral challenges. He does not do well with other dogs including our own, 2 years older. We think as an "only child" he would thrive. The best owner for Otis should be okay with not going to dog parks and keeping him on-leash. This person should be experienced with big dogs, prepared to have a strong hand, and looking for a loving and loyal companion. We are incredibly sad give Otis up, but think it is what's best for him. We are hoping Otis is adopted by a loving family who will make him feel as special as he deserves.

Story
I adopted Opal from a shelter in Oklahoma. They told me she was good with other dogs but that is not the case. I have 4 other dogs and have tried everything to rehabilitate Opal from the trauma she experienced being a shelter dog. 3 trainers, 2 veterinarians including a veterinary behavioral specialist have advised that Opal will have a better, stress-free life in a home where she is the only dog. No cats either and I would say no children as she is nervous about her tail being touched. She is otherwise a sweet, lovely girl - she loves people, loves to play. She’s obedient- knows come, sit, stay, go to your spot, lay down, give paw and she walks great on a leash too. She is up to date on shots and in perfect health. She is one of the prettiest Dalmatians I have ever seen. Her coat is silky soft and she’s just beautiful. I will foster her for as long as it takes to find her the right home and I will not give her away to just anyone.
