Story
Fiona needs a new foster or foster-to-adopt home. About three years old, Fiona came from a large hoarding situation. She is a shy, gentle girl who needs TLC and time to get comfortable in a home. Fiona loves other dogs and we would like to see her in a home with at least one other dog. The activity level of small children would scare her, so an adult home or one with older children would be ideal. She needs a home with a securely fenced yard, and a family who has experience and patience. To foster or foster-to-adopt Fiona please fill out our application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/foster-application NOTE: Foster or foster-to-adopt families must be located within the state of Connecticut.

Story
Lyla just loves playing with other dogs She's shy with new people and takes a little time to realize you're just a new friend she hasn't met yet - but a few treats and some time and she'll figure it out! She'd love a home with a securely fenced yard (she hasn't figured out leashes yet) and a dog friend or two - and would be happy to live with teenaged children. This sweet girl came from a large hoarding situation and she has come so far! These days she's a happy girl - and is ready and waiting to find her forever home. If that home could be yours, please fill out an application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/adoption-application

Story
AMBER IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!   Hi I’m Amber. I am a spunky little pup that has a personality larger than life. I get so excited I just can’t contain it. I am 8 months old and weigh about 35 pounds. I bark and wiggle around and do a lot of jumping. Love to play with other pups and love to snuggle and get all the love. I am learning manners and how to be house broken. Being young it is a bit tricky but I am trying. If you try to clean I will help by standing in your way looking all kinds of cute. I have a slow feeder because I eat too fast, don’t want it to just disappear. I have a cute tail wag when you tell me I did something good. I can ride in the car well but just enjoy being around other pups and my human. I would love a home to call my own with a soft bed and toys, and plenty of treats please. She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Amber up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Amber here:  www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Spot is a very sweet, 9 week old, mixed breed puppy. He loves to play, he's well socialized, and he loves people. He is going to be lots of fun for walks, hikes, and playtime outdoors! Spot will make a great family member and will be pleasure to train as he grows into adulthood. If you're interested in adding this cutie to your household, we would LOVE to hear from you! This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Hazelnut, an adorable nine-month-old, 45 lb. pointer mix with the cutest speckle coat and big pointy ears. She was found roaming in a field in Texas with a shih tzu (adopted) a few months ago. She’s currently in Texas awaiting an adopter or foster so she can travel up north to find her furever family! Hazelnut is a high energy girl ready to be the life of the party! She is active, loves to play, can't get enough of her toys, and absolutely loves other dogs. She'd be thrilled to have a doggy companion in her furever home. She's super sweet and never says no to a snuggle. Hazelnut is fine around the kids but may knock a young one down so older children are recommended due to her exuberance. Due to living on the streets, she has never had training before so she'll need someone to guide and teach her basic manners and obedience. A home with a fenced yard is a must. Hazelnut will make a wonderful addition to any home! Her adoption fee is $450 and she is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. If you are interested in Hazelnut, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.
