YOU MUST COMPLETE A BEST FRIEND PET ADOPTION APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED TO ADOPT POPPY.  PLEASE APPLY FOR POPPY AT:    https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC        Meet Poppy—the sweetest, gentlest soul you could ever hope to meet.   Poppy is a low-energy, easygoing girl who just wants to be close to her people. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or going for a stroll, she’s happiest simply being by your side. She’s fully house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and truly enjoys her daily outings. One of Poppy’s most special qualities is her love for people—she’s incredibly friendly with everyone she meets and absolutely adores children. She’s gentle, affectionate, and has a calm presence that makes her a wonderful companion for families or individuals alike. Poppy is currently living in an apartment and does great in that setting. She’s a quiet dog overall, only barking occasionally if someone knocks or there’s noise outside. She doesn’t need a yard as long as she gets her regular walks and potty breaks. She can happily live as the only dog, but if there is another dog in the home, she prefers calmer companions—especially smaller dogs who match her laid-back vibe. She’s also lived peacefully with cats, making her a great fit for a multi-pet household with the right introductions. Poppy can be left home alone for a few hours at a time (about 4–5 hours), as long as the space is dog-proofed—she’s been known to do a little counter surfing when unsupervised! She does struggle with crate anxiety, so she’ll do best in a home where she can safely stay out of a crate. With her occasional playful bursts and zoomies, Poppy brings just the right mix of fun and calm. But more than anything, she brings love. She is devoted, affectionate, and simply wants a person to call her own. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold, Poppy is ready to fill your home with warmth, comfort, and unconditional love EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC. Story
Meet Fayline! - A 7-month old medium size mixed breed looking for her best friend and life partner! Fayline is a sweet girl who wants a person to do everything with. She loves to cuddle, play, go on walks, and just be around her people. She kinds joy in daily life, and is an all-around happy girl. Fayline, her mom, and siblings were found living behind a business in Guilford County. Mom and her owner were on the streets when she had her puppies, and the owner was unable to care for the little babies. Animal control was able to take the puppies and bring them to BTBB to get the proper care needed for them to be healthy. All the puppies brought to us survived and thrived, Fayline is the last one looking for her forever home. As Fayline is older than some of our other puppies, we know what her personality already is. She is still a puppy as she’s younger than a year, but she is a mature soul. She currently lives on a farm and is the perfect farm girl. She is used to animals of all different species, dog siblings, and making friends with kids. As said before, this girl loves her people most. She’s eager to please and is very obedient and smart. She listens well even when outside with distractions. Sometimes an older puppy is great as they are house-trained, good temperament, and obedience trained, while still having puppy energy and tendencies. Fayline is an outdoorsy girl. She loves to walk or hike, play with the hose or sprinkler, play in the yard, even nap in the sunlight on the porch. She would do great with a bustling house of adults and kids, and even other animals. Her biggest loves in life are outdoors and people. She hopes you will be the one to give her the belly scratches she is always asking for! If you have any interest or questions about Fayline email us at blazintrailsbottlebabies@gmail.com , or visit her at an event!

Story
Boone is ~10-11 months old. He is the sweetest dog, and a Velcro dog by every definition. He will want to follow you everywhere, and personal space is a thing of the past. The reason I’m considering rehoming him is because I recently started a new job, and I’m afraid I’ll be unable to provide him the amount of time and energy he needs. He’s a very high energy dog, and he needs to be able to run and play a lot. Like, a lot. He loves having a job to do. Ideally, he’d be able to live on a farm or somewhere with a lot of land where he has plenty of space to play and run. He’s extremely smart, and loves trying to impress the people around him. He’s also a cuddle bug. He’s an amazing dog - I just wish I had the time to give him the amount of playtime that he truly needs. He is potty trained, however, he is still a puppy, and needs to be taken out a little more often than an adult dog for now.

Story
(DOB 11/13/2022) Mason is a big, loveable, wonderful boy! Be prepared for some love and affection when you meet Mason. This big boy has a knack for leaning right into you, seeking scratches and cuddles. Speaking of scratches, he loves that sweet spot on his back, near his tail scratced; it feels wonderful and he'll be sure to share his big smile! This adorable dog with a heart of gold is all about spending quality time with his favorite people. Whether it's going for long walks, snuggling on the couch, or playing fetch in the back yard, Mason is up for any adventure as long as he's with you! Mason would love a big yard to romp and run in but he's just as happy going for a walk with you! Mason is a social butterfly when it comes to interacting with other dogs. He loves making new friends and playing around, but he prefers smaller play groups to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Cats, on the other hand, don't quite understand Mason's playful nature, so it's best to give them a wide berth! He might not realize his own size, and he can be a bit clumsy at times. So, older kids who understand his exuberance are his best playmates! Don't be fooled by his silly antics – Mason is one smart cookie! He has mastered impressive tricks like sitting, spinning, and shaking, all for the promise of a tasty treat. Easy to crate, he'll only make a peep if he can't see you, so you can rest assured that your home will stay peaceful with Mason around, but when he does bark, it is loud.  When it comes to toys, there's one that reigns supreme in Mason's heart: a squeaky rubber chicken. He'll toss it, bat it, and have a grand old time playing with it all by himself. If you want to join in on the fun, just throw it and watch Mason happily chase after it! A rubber Frisbee is also a favorite, though he doesn't always bring it back – hey, sharing can be overrated! With Mason by your side, you'll always feel safe and secure. He's a natural watch dog who will bark at any stranger. Always the protector, he would do better in a home that doesn't have a have a lot of company in and out, and will need proper introduction to household visitors.  Mason embodies the true meaning of loyalty and will be by your side through thick and thin. So, if you're looking for a hilarious, loving, and slightly clumsy companion, look no further than Mason the dog. He's ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and endless joy. Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime with this lovable goofball! As part of Mason's $325 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Mason, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1708177##

Story
(DOB 01/20/2021) Mia is a low-maintenance pup and is always up for a snuggle session. With her gentle nature and affectionate personality, she's the perfect companion for anyone seeking a furry friend to share their love and affection with. Mia's heart is as big as her adorable paws, making her the ultimate snuggle buddy. Don't miss out on the chance to bring this sweet and easy-going girl into your life! Mia will do well with furry siblings or an owner that can provide enough attention so she could also be an only dog. She is also good with children but is startled by quick/sudden movements. So older, more experienced dog-kiddos are best suited for her. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. Other than that, she really loves everyone she meets. She is already both house and crate trained and is well behaved in her crate. She enjoys going out for walks and is leash trained. She is learning new things like car rides and is a little nervous at first but settles in nicely on the drive.  Mia has the silkiest ears with the cutest little freckles on them. She has a smile that will warm your heart and radiate throughout the day. She is at a great age and is a wonderful mid-size. Plus, she can do that super cute brow furrow that wrinkles up and is so adoarble. She really checks off so many boxes and will add so much love to you and your family!! If you are looking for a lifetime of unconditional love, Mia wants to meet you! Fill out an application today! As part of Mia's $300 adoption fee she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. If you have any questions about this girl you can email dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Mia, you can fill out an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet tab on our website www.pawsforlifenc.org.  ##1652954##
