Story
Sadie is looking for a loving forever home. After a rough start in life due to the mistreatment by her past owner, Sadie feared people and other dogs that she did not know. Over the past several months, Sadie has lived with one of our fosters specializing in emotional healing.Over these months, Sadie has become a love bug that craves receiving love from those she has learned to trust. Sadie gives her love back in many different forms, especially by snuggling up next to you on the couch. Sadie loves to go on walks and chase squires up trees. Yes, she tries to climb the tree. Sadie loves to shred toys and sneak off to sleep on the bed during the day. Sadie will wake you up in the morning to go on her walk, and then she will sit at her bowl waiting for you to give her breakfast. She will let you know when it is dinner time, and at night, she will let you know when it is time to go to bed because she wants her bedtime treat.Sadie has been socialized in public and other people’s homes, so she can interact with those she does not know. This socialization has been very successful, and once she feels safe, she will ask you to scratch her ears by pushing her nose under your hand.Sale has learned to trust and receive and give love freely. All she needs now is a family that will show her love and patience to finish her transition to a perfect family member. Is that You?If you are interested in this animal please start by filling out an adoption application at http://www.CFP-NC.org/adoptions and we will get in touch with you.

Story
Mia is easy to please and is pretty low maintenance. She’s fairly quiet and doesn’t have to be entertained 24/7. She’s just happy to be next to you. If you are looking for a dog that will be a great companion look into Mia's sweet eyes, and fall head over heels! She sleeps nicely in her kennel and plays in daycare frequently. She loves attention from dogs and people and is a happy, clumsy girl that is always down for a party. Mia has beautiful markings, the cutest freckles on her ears that are velvety soft, and a very soft coat. She is just a gorgeous girl that will definitely turn heads. Mia will do well with furry siblings or an owner that can provide enough attention so could be an only dog. She is also good with children but is be startled by quick/sudden movements. So older, more experienced dog-kiddos are needed for her. She is a little shy at your first (more so with men) meeting but warms up quickly. Other than that, she really loves everyone she meets. Mia has not been cat tested. She is already both house and crate trained and is well behaved in her crate. She enjoys going out for walks and we encourage a couple of nice walks each day. She is good on a leash and continued practice helps make this a great experience for pup and parent. She is learning new things like car rides and is a little nervous at first but settles in nicely on the drive.  If you are looking for a lifetime of unconditional love, Mia wants to meet you! Fill out an application today!   DOB 01/20/2021  As part of Mia's $300 adoption fee she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. If you have any questions about this girl you can email dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Mia, you can fill out an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet tab on our website www.pawsforlifenc.org.  ##1652954##

Story
(DOB 11/13/2023)  Meet Mason, our handsome 6-month-old English Pointer and Great Dane mix puppy.   He is new to our program, and we are still learning about him; however, we can tell you that he loves to meet new people and other dogs, he is a social butterfly, and he is always ready for a good time. He’s convinced everyone needs to be his new best friend—except cats.  He thinks cats are super fun to chase.   He loves to be outside and is interested in everything he sees.  He would thrive in a home with a large, fenced yard where he can explore and play.  Alternatively, if no fenced yard, doggie daycare or multiple long walks per day would also provide him with the mental stimulation and physical exercise he needs.  He would benefit significantly from a puppy manners class to learn not to jump on people and to walk calmly on a leash - training is an excellent way to bond with him. He is super eager to please and treat motivated.        He doesn’t seem to know what toys are, so he would love a family willing to teach him all about doggie toys and how fun it is to play fetch or tug of war … and how to settle in and enjoy all the warmth and comfort of snuggles.  He does have a bit of a wild side and might accidentally knock down little kids who cannot keep up with his energy, so bigger kids are best.   His crate training has been going great - he loves to have his own little den to snuggle up in after he’s had his fill of playtime. He's also a smart cookie, and already knows how to sit on command.   In summary, our boy is the life of the party, ready to make new friends and have the time of his life. You won't find a more adventurous pup, and we guarantee that he'll make every day feel like a party with his infectious joy and vitality!   As part of Mason's $325 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Mason, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1708177##
