Story
This sweet 4-month-old, 15-lb female Border Collie/Lab mix is ready to steal hearts! Bingo is people-friendly, dog-friendly, and kid-friendly (tested with kids 10+; not yet tested with younger children). Bingo has not been tested with cats. Her Embark breed panel for DNA testing is currently in progress! She adores everyone she meets, and when she went to the vet for the first time, she wanted to say hello to every person and dog in the office with her signature full-body tail wag. Bingo lives for pets and belly rubs, and her fur is as soft as velvet.
Bingo is smart and motivated, already a training star in the making. She is crate trained and knows "sit" with implied stay (her release cue is "free"). Bingo has excellent motivation and handler engagement, and has been enjoying focus games with her foster mom and dad.
Bingo sleeps in her crate overnight 8+ hours without accidents. She is working hard on potty training during the day and goes to the bathroom outside, but has had some excitement accidents inside during her first week and a half in her foster home. Bingo rides well in the car and walks nicely on a leash.
Give her a flirt pole or a ball to chase and watch her light up. This girl loves to play and burn off that Border Collie energy! Bingo gets along wonderfully with her foster brother, 30lb poodle mix Sammy, and loves to run with him in the backyard. Bingo would do well with an active person, couple, or family, with or without another dog in the mix.
Bingo's playful, engaged, and has all the makings of a wonderful, trainable dog for the right home.
If you're looking for a smart, motivated, high-energy pup who's ready to learn and loves to play, Bingo might be your girl!
Bingo is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $400.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
