Story
Hi!  I'm Tuck Tuck. My foster hoomans call me Tough Tough. I was on the euthanasia list after being found with a nasty injury So I had to get one of my legs removed. I kind of hop now more than run because of that. I don't really care about long walks. I do care about care about toys of all kinds - squeaky ones, crinkly ones, stuffed ones... You name it. I like dogs of all sizes but sitting next to my hooman chewing on a bone is one of my favorite things in the whole world. I did have heartworm but not anymore. So please keep up with my preventative because I DO NOT want to go through that again! They say I'm 6 years old but spunky like a 2-year-old and am about the size of a beagle, (whatever that means). I pretty much always have a smile on my face. I stay in my crate nicely and and potty trained. I would love to spend the rest of my days with a forever hooman.  It doesn't matter if it is in a house or an apartment; I will not stray far from my hoomans anyway.  Reach out to 405 Animal Rescue so we can arrange a playdate. ##2376927##

Story
Meet Tex – your new emotional support shadow. Ever wanted a dog who treats your personal space like his emotional support bubble? Congratulations, Tex is here to fulfill your dreams of never being alone again. Bathroom break? He’s coming. Cooking dinner? He’s supervising. Watching TV? He is the armrest now. Tex isn’t here for the chaos, the drama, or the 3-mile runs. No, sir. He’s a lover, not a cardio enthusiast. His hobbies include laying around majestically, soaking up affection like a fluffy sponge, and existing in your general vicinity 24/7. If you're looking for a calm, snuggly Velcro-dog who believes his job is simply to be near you at all times, Tex is ready to clock in. At 8 years old, Tex has officially entered his “I’m too old for this nonsense” era. He’s a calm, soulful English Pointer mix who came to us when his family realized that adding toddlers to the mix was not part of Tex’s retirement plan. Turns out, he prefers peace, quiet, and grown-ups who don’t scream just because their banana broke in half. Tex is a professional lounger, a devoted shadow, and a certified snuggle sponge. He doesn't want much—just a calm home, a soft place to crash, and someone who understands that quality time means sharing a room, not chasing a ball. He’ll follow you from room to room like it’s his job (because it is), and happily spend all day soaking up your affection like it’s a full-time paycheck. He’s not here to hike mountains, herd children, or learn TikTok dances. He’s here for cuddles, companionship, and the chance to be someone’s calm, loyal sidekick. If your idea of a perfect evening includes a good book, a cozy couch, and a dog who thinks personal space is a myth, Tex is ready to move in and start supervising your every move—lovingly, of course. Tex is what you might call “enthusiastically social”—emphasis on enthusiastic. When it comes to other dogs, he’s like that one overly eager party guest who skips the small talk and goes straight for the full-body tackle. He plays hard, runs harder, and if there were a canine version of bumper cars, Tex would be the reigning champion. He means well—he just occasionally forgets that not everyone appreciates being steamrolled in the name of friendship. Small critters? Let’s just say squirrels are public enemy number one. He hasn’t been formally introduced to any cats, but given his enthusiasm for chasing woodland creatures, we’re guessing cats might fall into the "animated squeaky toy" category until proven otherwise. As for tiny humans? Tex is deeply committed to the idea of being a gentle, cuddly protector… he’s just not great at the gentle part. He absolutely adores kids, especially the toddler he currently lives with, and will happily soak up all the cuddles, crawling, and toy sharing. But when the zoomies hit or excitement takes over, he occasionally forgets he weighs 82 pounds and has all the grace of a wrecking ball in a tutu. It’s all love—just delivered with the impact of a small freight train. And people? Oh, Tex is a social butterfly in the most extra way possible. Subtle he is not. If there are hands nearby, he assumes they’re there to pet him, and he’ll make it your full-time job if you’re not careful. Whether you’ve known him five years or five seconds, Tex is here, he loves you, and he’s ready to climb directly into your lap to prove it. Tex’s energy level falls somewhere between a retired bloodhound on a porch swing and a sloth that just finished a latte. He’s not going to run a marathon with you (unless there’s a squirrel involved), but he’s also not quite ready for the full-time nap club. We’ll call it a solid 5 out of 10—active when the mood strikes, horizontal the rest of the time. Now, if Tex were your road trip buddy, buckle up—literally. This 82-pound backseat diva insists on sitting in the front like a full-grown adult who pays taxes. He’ll try to take your seat if you so much as glance at a gas station. He loves having his head out the window like he’s in a music video, but mostly he just lounges like a chill co-pilot who insists on navigating—even if it means sitting on the gearshift. When it comes to walks, Tex is on a mission. He’s not here to stop and sniff the roses—he’s here to go. Leisurely strolls? Cute idea, but Tex prefers to reenact the Iditarod. He actually does better on runs (probably because stopping isn’t really in his vocabulary). Just know that on-leash, he can get a little spicy around other dogs. It’s not aggression—it’s just... Tex being Tex and wondering why he can't go make a new friend in his favorite way...up close and personal with a touch of bumper car vibes. Adventure dog or couch potato? Why not both? Tex has big plans to conquer the world… right after this nap. He lives for being inside with his people but will occasionally grace the backyard with his presence to sunbathe like a king. Just don’t expect him to choose nature over Netflix on a rainy day. He’s not that kind of dog. As far as temperament goes, Tex is like a human weighted blanket—affectionate, calm, and constantly draped across you. He thrives on closeness and has perfected the art of being exactly where you are at all times. He’s sweet, sensitive, and fully committed to never letting you pee alone again. Once his initial "OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU" energy settles, he transforms into a gentle, snuggly couch barnacle. Favorite activity? Napping. Second favorite? Napping on you. He doesn’t do fetch (why throw something you clearly wanted?). Toys are fine, but he’s more into full-body contact naps and making sure at least one of your limbs goes numb from cuddling. And rain? Don’t even think about it. Tex is allergic to being damp and believes water falling from the sky is a personal insult. He must have a securely fenced yard, unless you enjoy chasing him down the street in your pajamas. Tex is an escape artist who believes that once he is out the door and has no barriers around "Come Inside" is just a fun suggestion to ignore unless treats are involved. He’s smart enough to know basic commands—“Sit,” “Go,” “Out,” and “Come Inside”—he just chooses to comply selectively, like any independent thinker with dignity. Is Tex potty trained? Yes—he’s a gentleman in that department. No accidents, no drama, just solid bathroom etiquette. He’s got standards, after all. Kennels, though? Hard pass. Tex views crates the same way most people view jury duty—unpleasant, unnecessary, and to be avoided at all costs. Tex considers barking a sacred art—not to be overused, but deployed with precision and purpose. He’s not out here narrating the neighborhood like a canine newscaster, but he will let you (and the mailman, and the lawn guys, and the neighbor three houses down) know when your property line has been violated. Tex is a responsible free-roamer who handles your absence with all the grace of a retired butler—calm, composed, and mostly asleep. He doesn’t throw tantrums, redecorate the living room, or compose sad howls while staring out the window (that we know of). He just naps like it’s his full-time job. So if you've made it this far and somehow aren't already halfway to Rogers, AR with an empty passenger seat and a leash, what are you waiting for? Tex isn’t going to adopt himself. Fill out that adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app so we can pass it along to his foster family—because this clingy cuddle king is ready to invade your personal space and your heart. Rogers, AR is where you’ll meet your new shadow… bring snacks.

Story
Copper was found roaming the streets of OKC malnourished and scarred. He’s turned into the most amazing little boy who loves his foster siblings and everyone he meets. Patience isn’t his virtue but he is very tolerant of the children (and puppies) he meets. During the day he’s all play but at nighttime he wants to cuddle up under a blanket and enjoy his little luxurious life. He loves his siblings, food and anything that involves jumping all over the backyard. Copper would be a wonderful addition to any family or a companion for someone wanting an adventure buddy.
