Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.8/4/26 Freckles and Confetti are a special pair of bonded sisters who are looking for a home where they can stay together. They are such sweet babies. I do not know their breed, but my guess would be bird dog mix. I rescued them out of the woods when I was driving by and saw them run into a drainage culvert. I stopped and they ran into the woods. These girls heavily rely on eachother and I would hate to seperate them. They want so badly to be loved, but until they were rescued, the only love they had known was from eachother. They wag their tails and belly crawl to me, but they are still a bit timid. You can tell they have experienced a lot of neglect and possibly abuse in their lives. But they love to be held and loved on. They are just very insecure. Freckles and Confetti are crate trained and they are very well behaved when crated. No accidents and no crying. They feel safe in their crate and don't mind it at all. They are about 4 months old and each weigh between 20-25 lbs, with Freckles being slightly larger. They will probably be in the 50-60 lbs range once grown. They are not high energy puppies. They play with each other some but mostly they cuddle and have a lower energy level for young puppies. They are precious little souls that need a patient and understanding family who will show them that there are kind people in the world. Despite their fears and insecurities, they have never growled or acted aggressively in any way, they want so desperately to be loved on. They have made great progress here and they will continue to gain confidence once in a loving home. Please consider adopting this little pair. We will happily reduce fees to help with the cost of adopting the 2 of them together. They are spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.Located in Arkansas and can be adopted locally, or can transport to the New England area if adopted there. If adopted in New England, adopter will need to pick up (or arrange for a trusted friend/family to pick him up) on a Saturday in MD, PA, NJ, or CT. Residents of other states may adopt as well, as long as they can meet our transporter along their route. For questions or more info, email apps.aasr@gmail.com.To apply to adopt, click here:https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
Current Location: Manassas, VA Meet Carlos (Charlie): A Confident, Fun Loving Boy Ready for Adventure Carlos, affectionately known as Charlie, is a confident, fun loving boy who is always ready for whatever the day brings. He greets the world with enthusiasm and charm and loves everyone he meets, both people and dogs. This love bug brings playful energy when it's time to move, then happily settles in on his dog bed once the fun winds down. Home Manners and Training He rides well in the car, eats very well, and does well in his crate. He is treat motivated and already knows sit and no. He enjoys learning, especially when food and praise are involved, making training sessions rewarding and fun. Playful and Social Carlos loves spending time with other dogs and is socialized and great with people. He loves to play hard, running in a yard and playing with a soft toy. He'll even play fetch! He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard for off leash play or with an active person who enjoys walks, hiking, or outdoor adventures. With his medium energy level, he doesn't require marathon outings, just good quality time and movement. He would do best in a home where he is included in the daily activities of his family. Carlos is a joyful, affectionate companion who is ready to bring fun, loyalty, and personality into the right home. Apply to meet him and see firsthand why he is so easy to love!

Story
Carly came into rescue with her 2 brothers. She had recently given birth. She was very timid at first. When put on a leash she would just pancake to the ground in terror. Now she's still a bit timid but looks forward to getting leashed up for a walk. She is food motivated. Every time she walks, she gets braver. She is making good progress in being socialized. She will need a patient family to teach what it is like to be part of a family.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
