Story
Meet Moochie, a super cute young adult neutered male chihuahua mix, weighing about 10 lbs!
This sweet, spunky boy can be a little shy with new people, but he warms up quickly once he knows you are safe. He does well with other dogs (not cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats). He is not a fan of young children (honestly, we can't say we blame him! ), so he must go to an adult only home (or teenagers 15+ who know to respect a dog's space).
He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this adorable little guy today!
**Moochie will not be available until our 12/14/25 adoption event at Petco in Dayville, CT. We are accepting applications on him now! We will prioritize applicants who are able to attend the 12/14 event. If Moochie is not adopted at the event, we will move on to other applicants.**

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
