Took him in when he was aprox 3yr old because he was being neglected by previous owner who never took him for shots, registration, grooming or anything would keep him locked in for weeks without taking him for walks or make sure he ate or had water other people would maybe give him something to eat or drink sometimes. Has atention or abandonment issues I think. He likes being the center of atencion doesn't like me hugging, kissing or talking sweet to anyone. I'm a single mom with 4 kids so that makes it complicated specially with a toddler. We taught him to not pee or poop inside the apartment and to not climb on furniture or enter bedrooms or bathroom. If you forget to walk him he will scratch the door and whine a bit ti remind you. He loves attention but not being carried. Hasn't learned to fetch a ball, haven't figured what kind of toy is his favorite but seems like the squiky ones. Has had stomach issues with fresh food so eats only dry food. Loves running.

Orange Crush still lights up when he's around other dogs. He absolutely loves canine friends and would do well in a home with or without other pups. His friendly, easygoing nature makes him a joy to be around, whether he's quietly lounging by your side or softly wagging his tail to say hello. With his incredibly soft fur and even softer personality, Orange Crush is the definition of comfort and companionship. He's the kind of dog who doesn't ask for much -- just a loving home where he can feel safe, cherished, and part of the family. This darling girl lives up to her name in every way. She is pure sweetness from nose to tail, with a gentle heart that just wants to be close to her people. She's wonderful with other dogs and brings a soft, comforting presence wherever she goes, just like the smell of fresh-baked cookies filling a home. When Sugar Cookie first arrived, she was suffering from multiple painful mammary masses. Thanks to our loving vet team, specialists and her amazing foster, Sugar Cookie is like a new dog! Her masses have been removed, and she only takes one ongoing medication a day. She is the happiest girl! Sugar Cookie would do well in just about any home. She does have some ongoing appointments about once every month to make sure she is still on the right track. No matter what, she promises to give you the sweetest companionship and the quiet gratitude of a dog who knows she's finally safe and loved. Sugar Cookie joined us after she found herself at Contra Costa Animal Services as a stray. Due to the shelter's full status, her medical needs, and her senior age, what better place for her to land in than Peace of Mind Dog Rescue!

He absolutely charms everyone with his soulful eyes and no one can resist petting his amazing mane. Yeti is as gentle, loving, and sweet as can be and he is the perfect snuggle buddy for cozy evenings and quiet mornings. Yeti moves through life at an easy pace. He is not much for long walks, but he definitely loves yard explorations, sunbathing, treats, belly rubs, and just being near his favorite people. He is great around other dogs as well as cats and even kids. This mellow gentleman is looking for a peaceful, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and plenty of snacks. He would prefer a house and a yard that he can easily navigate, without tricky steps or staircases. Yeti joined us from Contra Costa Animal Services. Due to his senior status and their constraints for space, they felt he would do best in a senior-focused rescue to find his forever family.
