Story
Bella & Chico – Bonded Mother and Son Pomapoo Pair Looking for a Loving Home Bella is a 2½-year-old female Pomapoo and Chico’s mother. She is spayed, weighs 12.8 lbs, and is up to date on her vaccinations. Chico is Bella’s 1-year-2-month-old son. He weighs 9.7 lbs and is also up to date on his vaccinations. They have lived together their entire lives and share a very special bond. They are both house-trained, friendly with children, and get along well with other dogs. They are not comfortable around cats. They are generally quiet dogs, although they do bark occasionally. Bella may sometimes bark when meeting adults, but both are loving and affectionate companions. Bella and Chico enjoy being together and often stay close to each other. Because they are mother and son and have never been separated, we would love for them to find a home where they can continue their life together. Our current schedule does not allow us to give them the time and attention they need.

Story
Looks like: Pomeranian mix Male, 12 years old (estimated), 12 pounds Orange Crush (AKA OC) is a sweet senior gentleman with a heart as warm as a summer sunset and a smile that's impossible to resist. This lovable old soul has mastered the art of companionship, asking for nothing more than a cozy bed, gentle pets, and someone to love throughout his golden years. While Orange Crush may have a little gray on his muzzle, his heart is overflowing with affection, gratitude, and quiet joy. If you're looking for a best friend who will fill your home with comfort, loyalty, and unconditional love, Orange Crush is ready to prove that life's sweetest chapters often come a little later. OC is living proof that resilience comes in the sweetest little package. He is deaf, has very limited vision, and suffered from such severe dental disease that all of his teeth had to be removed. Yet none of that has dimmed his gentle spirit or his incredible capacity to love. According to his foster, he is house-trained, never barks, sleeps soundly through the night, and eats like a champ. His favorite activities include soaking up the sunshine, snoozing in a cozy dog bed, and greeting each new day with quiet enthusiasm. As soon as he realizes you're awake, he'll be ready for his morning trip outside! Once he knows and trusts you, he'll happily seek out affection and reward you with the sweetest, slurpiest kisses. OC's back legs are a little weak, so a single-level home would be ideal. But don't let that fool you, he still enjoys short walks and even has adorable bursts of playful energy. He gets excited to meet other dogs and enjoys their company, making him a wonderful companion for a home with canine friends. Orange Crush has overcome more than any dog should ever have to endure, yet he greets each day with quiet contentment and a heart full of love. All he needs now is a family who will give him the comfort, kindness, and security he's always deserved. Could you be the happy ending this sweet senior has been waiting for? This adorable gentleman joined the POMDR family from Hitchcock Road Animal Services in Salinas after being found as a stray in heartbreaking condition. It was clear he had endured a very difficult life before finding his way to POMDR. Now, he's finally ready for the life every dog deserves, a safe, loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by the love he's waited so long to find.

Story
Looks like: Pomeranian mix Female, 12 years old (estimated), 9 pounds If you're looking for a gentle shadow with the cutest little zoomies you've ever seen, Margaret is your girl! This sweet senior knows how to enjoy the simple things in life: leisurely walks, long naps, cozy couch snuggles, belly rubs, and staying close to her favorite people. Margaret is easygoing and gets along beautifully with other dogs, and she peacefully coexists with cats, too. She may be a little cautious when meeting new people, but give her a few moments, or treats and she'll happily soak up all the love and attention. She's perfectly content exploring the yard, snoozing the day away, or following her foster mom from room to room. She even loves being held like a baby! Margaret walks wonderfully on leash and enjoys getting out for strolls at her own relaxed pace. She's a low-energy companion who's happy to match your lifestyle. When left alone, she's content to curl up for a nap, and while she might let you know if the doorbell rings or if a suspicious traffic cone appears outside, she's otherwise a calm, quiet housemate. She's still polishing up her housetraining and would do best in a home without lots of stairs, as her back legs aren't as strong as they once were. But don't let that fool you, this little lady still has plenty of joy, love, and zoomies to share. Everyone who meets Margaret falls head over heels for her, and it's easy to see why. She's unbelievably sweet, incredibly soft, absolutely adorable, and has a heart as big as her love for belly rubs. If you're looking for a loyal best friend to fill your home with gentle companionship and daily smiles, Margaret is ready to steal your heart. Margaret joined POMDR from Contra Costa Animal Services when it was determined that, given her age, she would be a good fit for our program.

This adorable senior lady is a perfectly sweet combination of charm and lovable personality all wrapped up in one bite-sized package. Peanut Brittle may be small, but she has plenty of flavor! She's a delightful little lady with a personality that will keep you smiling. Like her namesake candy, she's a wonderful mix of sweet and a little bit special crunchy around the edges in the cutest way, with a heart that's pure melt-in-your-mouth goodness. This little peanut is ready to find a family who appreciates all the joy that comes in a small package. She's the kind of companion who will happily be by your side, sharing your day, your couch, and all the little moments that make life sweeter!
